Unconventional. Adventurous. Thank you for showcasing this side of the Philippines. Tausug, Yakan, Maranao, Maguindao, among other ethnic cuisine are such an understatement. I prefer Philippine Muslim food over mainstream ones any time of the day! 😁 Among of my favorites are Chicken Piyanggang, Tiula Itum, Pyaparan, Crabs/Lobsters/Locon with "alavar" sauce, baulo, locot, pastil (empanada style), satti, among many others! Yumm! 😝

These foods should be way more common all over the Philippines. They’re eaten all over Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo. Yet you have to really look for them in Luzon 😭
Seaweed sidedish is best served with grilled fish or other types of seafood. Personally, it won't go along well with chicken or beef. Satti is perfect as morning meal after having a good run or workout. 😉

@@peachnaise5221 It depends on the area. If you want local halal food, you go to areas with significant muslim neighborhoods. Quiapo's Golden Mosque area, Taguig's Maharlika Village, etc. The upscale areas, like Ayala Makati and BGC, have mid to upscale options for halal food. Mostly Arabic, Indian and Persian in BGC, Persian, Turkish and Indonesian/Malaysian in Makati. I personally know some solid Indonesian joints in the Ayala area. And one more thing, food items in groceries, you can easily shop for halal items.
@@tempe157quiapo is in manila where the muslim foods from southern mindanao is made. I personally have not visit my home country yet but my first thing is to visit the golden masjid there in Quiapo. Because northern philippines mostly eat pork which is haram for us muslims, its difficult to find muslim foods in philippines. Only if you go to mindanao is where all the muslim foods will really be at.
I'm a iranon muslim you should also introduce iranon food in ur vlog. Iranon food same like maguindanaon food as a muslim we really like maranao food also

In Mindanao, no problem. A lot of Halal places, especially as you go closer to the western parts which is Bangsamoro territory.
