Method 1: Turn off Windows Update Services in Windows 11.
To continue, follow the steps outlined below.
The first step, Launch the Run dialog box from the Start menu, or press "Window + R" to open the RUN window.
2nd Step, Then, to open the "Services Window," type "services.msc" and hit the enter key.
Step three, To stop the service, locate and pick the "Windows Update" option from the "Services" list, then click the "Stop" button.
4th step, Once the Windows Update Service has been stopped, right-click on it and choose "Properties."
5th step, Change the “Startup Type” to “Disabled” by clicking on the “General” tab.
Method 2: Stop Updates Using Group Policy Editor
In Windows 11, you may use the "Local Group Policy Editor" to permanently stop automatic updates, or you can modify the Windows Update settings to control when updates are installed.
The first step, Launch the Run dialog box from the Start menu, or press "Window + R" to open the RUN window.
2nd Step, Then, type "gpedit.msc" and hit the enter key to launch "Local Group Policy Editor."
Step three, "Computer Configuration Administrative Templates Windows Components Windows Update" is the route to take.
4th step, Look for Configure Automatic Updates and double-click it.
