Nice tutorial with fundamental contributions. I'm currently facing a really complicated and experimental issue; it relates to "welding" Meshes, but most specifically Meshes from different Mesh Objects. Basically, I am Rigging a 3D character (more or less cartoony/organic) and am trying to find if there is a way to emulate a seamingless, perfect welding between the Head and the Neck (can be considered a joint region) of the character (in this experimental case in which they'd be Separated into different Mesh Objects). Note: it is tricky, but relatively feasible to solve the Deformation from both Mesh Objects as if they were just Mesh Object; so this is not the real problem. The real problem is that no matter what I've tried, there is always a visible seam/gap that makes clear visually it was artificial connection. I'm still trying to solve this experimentally on occasion, but I'm lacking tools already; maybe Blender is just not good at it from 3D Viewport Editor and a better solution would come from Shader Editor or something like that… ¿Any ideas? This is the reason why I came to this Weld Modifier tutorial Thanks. Unfortunately, what would be ideal, is that Weld Modifier somehow worked interconnecting Meshes from different Mesh Objects -in principle, it's all Vertices.
hallelujah very helpful. boolean faceting issues are the worst. haven't tried quad remesher yet, i wonder if that solves these problems. also seems like shrinkwrapping ought to offer a solution to boolean pinching and so forth (?). There's no end to the blender learning journey is there?! hahah thanks for another great video.
Hello there, I wanted to learn this modifier, however It seems that I couldnt find them in add modifier at all! Do I need to enable something before using this modifier?
I use it too but sometimes i want to keep that bevel on cuz sometimes it doesn't make sense to add bevels and just weld them again together so i had to move vertices manually..

Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about the weld modifier in the comments below! :)
I'm going to have to play around with this
Short, sweet, and to the point! As always, much appreciated!
Another big help from you, thank you again.
Thank you for the video!!

Please do welding animation with sparks
Hi. Why the weld modifier instead of just merging them (M)?
his intro always scares the shit out of me
Это удобно!
