How to Make Hummus | ASMR Cooking Video

- Learn how to make the best Hummus recipe with this ASMR cooking video! This is a quicker version of the authentic recipe that uses raw chickpeas, but still delicious. Tip: Add ice cubes during the final blend for a smoother texture as it cools the hummus down, reducing clumping. Recipe below. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas (apx 16oz)
- 1 medium lemon
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp kosher salt or 1/2 tsp table salt
- Leftover chickpea water
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Garnish: Sumac and parsley
Method
1. In a food processor, pour in the tahini & lemon juice.
2. Process for 30 seconds. Scrape the sides inwards. Process for another 30 seconds. Repeat 2 more times.
3. Add garlic (crushed), olive oil, cumin and salt. Repeat Step 2.
4. Drawn the chick peas through a sieve. SAVE THE WATER. It’s liquid gold.
5. Add half of the chick peas and blend for 1 minute.
6. Scrape the sides and pour in the rest of the chick peas, then process.
7. Slowly drizzle chick pea water you saved until hummus is smooth.
8. Pour into a bowl, cover and refrigerate for at last an hour or two.
9. Garnish: Drizzle olive oil, sprinkle sumac and top with a parsley leaf.
