I ride one daily in a 2015 SDR and it’s an amazing motor, lugs like a tractor and revs like something else, definitely doesn’t lack power and can surprise anyone at anytime. Being such a large CC motor you can hear the pistons moving at idle, however doesn’t sound as good as some Vtwins. The LC8 idle sound isn’t choppy or hunting like some are used to hearing from V Twins. It has a real symmetrical sound and doesn’t skip at all. With the SAS system, I like keeping it on because it pops and crackles on deceleration and sounds great.
Nice! Engine p@rn, I ride one in a 1090. Smooth and easy at the lope, rev it and what a rip! If ya have one, look into Rottweiler. The intake honk is such music, and the stock air box leaks and chokes these engines.
