nice video buddy i can see your channel doing well in the future. been wanting to make some videos like this too but dont have a boat at the moment. keep it up homie
Well I lost a dd yesterday on hartwell. I genuinely can’t believe it still but I set into a giant on the bank. She threw her weight around for a second and then came up fir a head shake and literally threw my bait at me as a result. I’ve contemplated over and over about what I could’ve done different. Sharp hook, new lure (trying to be ambiguous), new line, kept tension on the fish and she still tossed the lure on a tail walk. I’m devastated that would’ve been the biggest bass in my 38 years of fishing.
Dang! I’m sorry to hear that. Did you get a good look at the fish? Sometimes there is nothing you can do. It sounds like you did everything you could do on your end. Sometimes it’s just a part of fishing. Depending on if it was treble hooks or a single hook bait but i normally replace all my treble hooks on stock baits just to know that my hooks are always sharp and strong especially on bigger baits. You can also put your rod tip in the water when the fish goes to jump to try to knock it down and keep it in the water but again sometimes it’s just fishing. They can all get off. Bummer of a story but that one that got away is what keeps us all coming back!
3/8 oz white with a silver blade is my favorite 90% of the time but you can drop to 1/4 oz if you are fishing shallow water or jump up to a 1/2 oz if you are fishing deeper water.
Great info Cameron. I’m headed to Hartwell for the first time this October and plan to use what you have shared to have a great time on the water.
@@danmcmanigal1978 fantastic! Hope it helps for sure! Let me know how you do. I love Hartwell it’s a fun lake. October should be a great time to fish.
Great info Cameron. Trying to figure out what I’m doing. Hope to run into you on lanier some day
Lake Lanier can be tricky. I have a video coming out today that can help you start to break down the lake. It’s a fun lake though! Lots of fish.
@@campetro10 awesome! headed out to the south end in a few

What size/weight do you use for the hush bait you mentioned?
