    ABOUT:
The Gay Men's Brotherhood is a group for gay men to connect with each other on the journey of healing from shame and becoming more authentic and aligned to their truth.
The group aims to offer inspiration, support, connection, healing, and a safe place to show up just as you are.
Our vision for the members is to learn to feel more comfortable showing up vulnerably so deeper intimacy can be established in our community.
We dream of a gay community where everyone can feel more connected to one another in more ways than just sexual and we can feel less loneliness as a byproduct.

Might I say that today something unlocked within me. For those of us who didn't have accepting parents, you may have become acquainted with unconditional love. Perhaps you showed it to them because they couldn't show it to you. In my opinion, unconditional love is the key to healing shame and low self esteem: if you can show unconditional love to the parents who didn't show it to you, why won't you show the same unconditional love to your younger self/the unhealed child? I think unconditional love is a super power, and is limitless. It can help you overcome your body image issues, internalized homophobia, childhood emotional neglect, anxious attachment, and more.

Well said, thank you for sharing that - I'd agree it is a superpower because not many people can actually love without conditions.

Thank you guys for being here. I'm just finding our my son is at least bisexual. He denies in part to judgement from family, friends, society. He has had ongoing super kinky chats with femboys. I don't want him to self destruct.

Great job, watching this tonight 2/16/22, and have had my world rocked as of late. I've had a very tough year this far, a bout of covid, and losing 3 family members in the last 2 weeks, and the realization of how covid is affecting my mental health as well. This helps...58 yr. old man, out now for 40 years and STILL working on self esteem...thanks, Jeff

The man in the blue shirt, bottom right sorry I forgot his name but his dynamic mentioned with him and his mother around the 20:30 timestamp was HUGELY validating for myself as well. I’m currently dealing with a VERY similar mother/son dynamic where it’s simply best to NOT share all my thoughts and feelings with her etc etc. simply due to the relationship’s subconscious nature. This so often leads to triggering feelings of alienation experienced early in my own childhood and continues to wreak havoc in my body to this day in many of my interactions. I’ve learned thus far to not be so verbally reactive but my body is still searching for ways to calm the triggering sensations because I can really blow up over something seemingly trivial all because of some chemical imbalance or whatever I’m experiencing physiologically in that moment

Hi there, thank you for sharing your perspective. We're really sorry to hear that you’ve felt ignored and overlooked; that’s truly a painful experience. It’s important to acknowledge that everyone deserves to feel seen and appreciated, no matter their age or background. Your feelings are valid, and you deserve to be with someone who appreciates and values you. Please take care and know that your worth is not defined by the actions of others.💞
