HELICOIL - How To Fix A Motorbike Exhaust - Exhaust Fell Off Honda Cub

How to fix a stripped thread in the head of an engine using a Helicoil. The exhaust fell off my Honda C90 Cub. Using a Helicoil kit, I repaired the thread, inserted a new stud and fixed the broken exhaust. I used simple tools, exhaust sealing paste, M6 exhaust studs and a new exhaust gasket. Tell me how I did.

Strangely I have a missing stud on my C90 and a huge bolt replacing it so your method looks like the way forward. Loctite sounds good.

my c70 exhaust has a couple of semi-circular spacers that push up against the gasket and are then clamped in place. good tip with the double nuts on the threaded rod.

Little tip. Dont let the lock tight nozzle touch the metal, literally let it drip on instead as it reacts when it touches metal and a small amount will be sacked back into the bottle
