  • A few laps round Anglesey (Trac Mon) International GP & Coastal. Struggled to get some lines flowing but great day and perfect weather.

    Hi mate, I was there last year with my 240i, hoping to go this year with my Jcw, I’m confident I’ll beat the time of the 240i, the mini has lots of handling mods but less power by far, what handling mods do you have?

      Hi Damien, mine was (until recently) daily driven so is set up very conservatively to be honest, but I’ve done the following;
      MeisterR CRD, Federal 595 RSR (used in the dry for this video but PS4 in the wet) and rear adjustable control arms.
      Make sure you have a decent geometry set up or you’ll find certain sections of Anglesey painful (rocket in/ out for example) with the standard geo. I run -2 degrees camber (the max my top mounts will allow) and parallel toe at the front. -1.5 degree of camber at the rear. Still very conservative but much nicer to throw into a corner than standard.
      If (when) the clutch gives up I’de like to fit a proper mechanical diff too which would make a huge difference

      @@Richard1637 awesome, I’m also running meister, an older version of the zeta pro coupled with an aem front strut, hard race rear camber arms, ado8rs tyres and a fast road geo, not too sure on the settings but I have a note somewhere with them on.
      I’m hoping that would be enough to overcome the 240 on Anglesey coupled with the power mods too 🤞
      Your car seemed to suit the track very well 👌
      Are you running any upgrade on the brakes at all?

      @@jamesdamien121 standard JCW 4 pots, ds1.11 front pads, PBS in the rear and ATE super blue fluid. Standard brembo hc discs. Can’t fault that set up at all, the ds1.11 are an incredible pad.

      @@Richard1637 awesome, it’s something I need before taking it on track, how do you find the ds1.11 on the road from cold? I have run ds2500 previously on other cars and found them a good all rounder! Are you running standard or braided lines?

    • @Richard1637

      @@jamesdamien121 standard lines, ds1.11 are fine from cold but do squeal. I highly recommend updated rear pads too since the “e-diff” in the JCWs just destroys oem rears.

      Hi Archie, I’ve done a few basic things to it. Power wise: FMIC, decat, panel filter and remap to ~265hp
