I have found the same with buckles. I found a very similar one to yours that rang up 15 and half and half on the fero check. Tough digging but well worth it. Huge congratulations. A very special moment to share with you. You can always share some of those finds with me my friend

The gold is wonderful, but if someone said to me, you can either have this Celtic coin or this gold coin, I would snatch the Celtic coin. It's the history that is worth more than its weight in gold!!! Was that rolling in the grass your gold dance? 🤣🤣Nice shot of the white wort flowers after your silver coin. All flowers in the countryside are worts to me, a towny!!! It's not white nettle I know that!! Thimbles are a very personal item I think.👏👏

Ahh mate it can be an amazing and a cruel hobby but still its a gold coin!! Over the years those scratches will fade. I know the feeling, I've clipped several gold coins over the years. I can dig 10,000 old pennies perfectly then stuff like this happens. Congratulations, reaping the rewards for all your hard work !!
I was so disappointed in myself mate, its possible the first time I've ever clipped anything lol and it had to be that 😭. But then I had to tell myself that I would much rather have it that way than to not have it at all 👌. I have no doubt whatsoever, that the simplex would have found that gold coin 100%. My first every gold coin was a celtic quarter stater, and it is about a third of the size of this one. Found with my trusty simplex 👌

Tombac is hard and often shinny right from the ground and pewter from the ground is pretty much always flaky and brittle. And the weight and feel of pewter is comparable to lead.

When you say reactivity is 4 ,what setting is that? Is that your recovery speed? Congrats on your gold pence digger! I found a silver ring yesterday and I know the feeling of damaging the rain because when I was recovering the silver ring I had gouged a little bit of the ring too. So I feel your pain even more so because you had some gold coin mate. So happy for you mate you look as excited as a little kid on his first outing to get some ice cream,lol. And a silver to boot!

Good morning friend. What is the frequency of the gold coin that you found? Did you use the 40 kHz frequency or did you use multiple frequencies?
I was using M2 on the legend and the gold half sovereign came in at a solid 29 on the VDI 👍. Hope that helps, and thank you very much for watching 👍
