Finally subscribed 🎉 i love ya videos, mate. I've been detecting for only 8 months, but they have helped me build my knowledge so much. I look forward to your next.
Thanks Dan, another great episode. Im new to detecting (5 months). Addicted to youtube now and barely watch TV. Love these episodes, especially you and young Grif. Keep them coming. My Manticore just arrived by DPD, will be looking out how to use it. Thankyou.
Thank you mate, I love hanging out with Griff, he's a great lad 👌. This hobby only gets better as you go along, so enjoy your new manticore and the adventures 👍. Best of luck mate, hope the videos help you 😊
@DiggerDanMetalDetecting thanks bud. Its a game changer. Given the limited time I get (work and fatherhood) a few hours with the beast is proving to be be amazing. I'll have a finds cabinet like your in no time at this rate. Nice new boots. To justify price.. your either on your feet or sleeping. Good boots, good bed.
Ps. I'd gridded one of my permissions this farming season to search for a plough blade for the farmer. Walked on the same field with manticorr, 5 minutes later.. Charles 2nd silver..
Oh Wow DD! What a fantastic day! My Gast has never been more Flabbered! The near mint hammy is the best I've seen. 7 hammys in a day is unreal. All the best M8. Cheers, John.
Hi Dan, love the video’s 😊 The button with the crown and wheel 😂 is a Royal Artillery button. I watch your videos and immediately get jealous, I use an XTerra Pro and just can’t imagine walking over so many coins as you do 😂 But I have only been detecting 9 months.
may i ask why you do not do a noise cancel on your pinpointer ....like hold the pointer into the soil hard hold down the button ... would cut out alot of the bleeping dan
All that digging? No way I'm getting a Manticore then! 😂 I think so many gorgeous finds, the first buckle and the strap end buckle are both stunning, and 7 hammered coins, a huge chunk of the credit must surely go to such an incredible, freshly turned over field Dan 😉 Although, I'm sure the manticore must be a royal pain in the ass going off like that, bleeping away every time it goes over a target. Hat's off to you sticking with it where many others would have given up 😆
@martinsanders5418 it's a nightmare mate 😅😂 always going off and forcing me to dig stuff 😂. Yes it is a very productive field, but it's also a very heavily iron infested one and it makes the targets quite tricky most of the time. Thanks for watching
@@DiggerDanMetalDetecting Well you could always invite me along with my Garrett 400i and challenge me to a dual "On guard!" 😂🤣😂 Corker of a video mate 😉
Nothing most other machines wouldn't find at that depth. It all boils down to the fact that you have a field with a lot of history buried, and you still have to walk over it.
On a field like that, it's not about depth. More about target and iron separation. The Manticore is outstanding at doing this and that's why it finds so much 👍
Another great video well done on all those hammered coins I love finding them plus like you love the manticore it takes time but once you have mastered it brilliant machine all the best shaune in Kent 👍👍👍
Superb and the buckle with the gilded plate is 12th to early 13th Century by the looks of it. Lots of white lead and old iron shows past activity and something that would keep me on a field and much prefer them over any very quiet field. Some of my best finds including gold coins and rings and lots of hammered have come from lead and iron infested fields over the years. You are doing everything right and that machine is cracking
Well done dan! What a day that is! I’m rocking the 900 I do find a lot with it but Im sure I’d find more with the manti, maybe the next tax rebate 😂 I will defo get myself an m9 coil tho a lot of poeple giving it the thumbs up! Not sure how it will get on with the 900 tho
@Sayward82 I've not used the 15" mate, as I have no real use for it. It would be too large for my ground, it wouldn't do as well in all the iron there, as the M9 👍
In my best parent voice.... "Daniel Moss! Stop that right now! Stop making me want to buy a Manitcore!!" 😂😂😂 What a machine... And what a load of quality finds again ❤❤

Hi, yes, you're right. I am a beginner trying to walk the learning curve. All these latest metal detectors are a bit difficult to understand at first glance, too much settings and variable configurations to start on. I have seen a lot of TH-cam videos showing many detectors. Why the Gold Monster 1000 appears more simple and accesible to get than the Equinox 900? Thank you
Oh WoW what a huge Problem you have with the Manticore, 😉 kidding it is realy an Amazing machine and i love it. What a great finds you have done, keep on going surprise us with your finds. Was Nice to met you at RCM. Greetings from Holland, Sander👌👋
Hi, your videos are really very informative and enjoyable to watch. For a beginner is more aprropiate to get a X-Terra Pro ($250) or Manticore ($1200) to start metal detecting?. Thank you
If you are just starting out the Manticore might feel a bit intimidating. The Vanquish line is pretty good but if you are wanting to go water proof then they Equinox line is a good way to go. You can get pretty good deal on a Equinox 800 now.

@Stefan-wd9uv hi mate, yes I'm using a PWRNOX. I usually go out for quite long periods, so I'd rather be on the safe side and have it all the time. It's mainly for when I go on weekenders though and I would probably not need it on my Saturdays 😊👍

Hi mate, my latest settings are in the video below 👍. Hope that helps, and best of luck tomorrow 😊. Skip to around 19mins in for the settings 😉 th-cam.com/video/sqWNBU7VwM0/w-d-xo.html
You need to watch this yourself and see how much ground that you are not detecting ! You need to slow right down or use a bigger coil , I've been detecting 35 years by the way before someone says that i don't no what I'm talking about .
For sure! As a gold prospector we try to overlap every swing significantly if in a good gold area...I see 2 foot gaps in the swing coverage in this video....I'm beside myself watching this!
I totally agree mate, my swing is far from perfect. But I'm not out there to completely empty the field of history in one go. I'm there to enjoy myself 😊👍. Leaving a few things behind, means I can keep going back and find some more next time. Hope that makes sense? Ps I totally think you know what you are talking about after that many years detecting 👌. I recently took a DNA test and found out ironically that King Edward I and his first wife Eleanor of Castile. Are my grandparents. . And I recently got back into metal detecting myself as a friend bought me Manicore for Christmas. I live in the United States Ohio of all places.
@jeb1246 It's such a heavily iron infested field, that a large coil would miss more than it finds. The lose soil actually makes it more difficult for any machine, as it now has air gaps, which is not ideal conditions. Thanks for watching 😊👍
guess I need to upgrade from the Nox800 then... I was thinking about going back to Deus, but the ii this time, but given I live in the middle of 200 acres of welsh farmland that has at least 2 'settlements' and I've already found 11 silver roman, the extra £££ for this Manticore might just be worth it.
Don’t know how you find a farmer who says yes, there is nothing around Cambridge, I have worked at the university for 30 years and they will not let you on any of their farm/land!!
@marinoceccotti9155 The way I always think of it is.... if you love a hobby, you should invest in it. Take fishing for example, people spent thousands on it for the kit they want. £1800 for a machine isn't a lot when you look at it like that, especially for a high-end machine like the Manticore 👌. You get what you pay for
I purchased a manticore in December 2022 , never ever regretted buying it. Found twice as much of the money I spent on it . Finding so much gold on beaches in Malaysia, all the gold here is 916 = 22 ct. the depth is insane using a M15 Coil on wet sand and in all Terrain high conductors. Used on land in wales and in Cornwall , in the , finding a few rose farthings!. Just a brilliant detector
