Canyonlands: White Rim Road, Utah, USA [Amazing Places 4K]

- White Rim Road is one of the top scenic roads in the world. It offers incredible views of the Island in the Sky section of the Canyonlands National Park, Colorado River, Green River and distant views of the other two sections of Canyonlands: The Maze and The Needles. The road is only accessible with 4WD, motorcycles and mountain bikes. Permit is required to enter the road and to use the camp sites.
Some of the locations in the video, from our 4 day trip: Shafer Trail descending to White Rim Road (0:01), Gooseneck Overlook(0:39), viewpoints nearby Musselman Arch (1:32), Musselman Arch (3:19), Colorado River (5:26), Airport Tower (6:13), Washer Woman (6:19), Monument Basin (7:47), Murphy Hogback (11:29), Candlestick Tower (12:00), Soda Springs Basin (12:40), Green River (12:57), Fort Bottom Ruin Trail (16:33), Fort Bottom Ruin (17:40), Zeus and Moses (19:13), Mineral Bottom Road (19:49).

The unlimited beauty of earth yet the fragile one as we are more involved in a bad way. We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. @@MOAB-UT visited for the first time recently, (GR overlook and Needles) wished I visited decades ago but I'm venturing into the maze in the fall, it beckons me, the whole place is genuinely sublime
@@m.ericwatson968 What is GR? I have been 6 times. Never went to the Maze or Needles. Too much to see near town. What is attracting you to go down three- are you getting a guide? If not, do buy and use a SPOT device. You can easily get lost. I would suggest you first hit some of the main trails up top like Shafer, Long Canyon, Hells Revenge, Chicken Corners (for sure!!!) and hike in the parks like Delicate Arch. I rent a UTV for hells revenge and chicken corners. When are you going? If you need any recommendations let me know. I know the area very well. We go every year.
@@MOAB-UT Green River overlook, island in the sky, have to have a 4x4 guide to even get to the maze, it takes hours from Hanksville and people who know the roads well enough, would like to see into the maze from orange cliffs and Schafer, just to venture into the maze would be cool, go to chocolate drops perhaps, or a 4x4 tour to dollhouse, seen enough vids now to know it's pretty complex, just nothing quite like it in Colorado, or anywhere for that matter, it's very intriguing
So amazing this area in Utah! Just fascinates me every time I see these rocky outcrops and can imagine the peacefulness of camping out there in the wilderness. Thanks Milosh for another amazing video.

An awesome place. I travelled down the Shafer Trail and around the white rim road in 2002. It took two days to get the whole way around but well worth the nail biting drops. Couldn't do it now, I'm an English oldtimer from Shropshire who hasn't got the sperical objects any more !!!

Lol… I was camping over by Gemini Bridges with my Jeep and wanted to do a trail the next day… with no map I ended up on White Rim Road.. I spent 10 hours that day wondering when the trail was going to end and if I was even going to make it on one tank.. I ended the trail @ the Thelma and Louise spot over by the Salt Pond And Mill and luckily made it to a gas station but man…. What an unexpected gorgeous day that I’ll never forget..

I love Utah! I’ve been to Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, Moki Dugway, Bridges National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, dead horse State Park, and more
The White Rim Road is one of the loneliest 90 miles one can drive in the USA. Almost no one there, spectacular scenery, and the road just challenging enough to need four wheel drive and high clearance. Those switchbacks at the beginning are much scarier than they appear here. They gave me the creeps!
