early Axl, if he would have kept this voice, surely wouldn´t have damaged his voice. A similar tone could be heard on the early version of november rain.

They loved Axl and I have video footage of it it's rough and grainy but I assure it's them
Shallow is definitely Axl singing. Others' rasp sound similar, but Axl's is 100% unique and that is his voice. Especially the way he enunciates "shallow" and then the "na na na" parts and he also does his signature "ow!" before the guitar solo. Undeniably Axl singing on that song.

I believe that this is Axl's voice. I've been listening to Axl's vocals in Hollywood Rose, Rapidfire, and GNR for half of my life now. This recording is from the 80s I think, but probably not recorded with GNR.

I don't think that's axl, axl's pronunciation is different
It was a demo so he's probably not comfortable/decided with the lyrics. Usually Axl develops the melodies before the lyrics.

@@justbubbles_ Listen to the demos from the Village Session leak. He didn't add lyrics for a lot of the songs, only melodies. And also Axl (sometimes) distorts pronunciation to match the melodies.
