Yes! Getting the geometry of a properly fitting chest armor structure is a huge hurdle for a lot of foamsmiths. I'll definitely be utilizing this in the future. Huge time saver!
This is such a great tutorial. I've made this Marcus armor, but it was from all the cheap foam I had around the shop already. It turned out pretty cool, but it doesn't sand or smooth very well. I now have my first supply of your HD foam and its amazing so far! It's more dense and solid but still easily cuttable and the edges come out really nice. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with us!
Im so Happy to see more Gears of War cosplay, especially from you! I just wish you could also make Anthony's helmet, or heck all the Carmine helmets/mask!
I don't think anything will top my full scale gears of war theron guard from years ago but Marcus fenix's armor should be a fun build. I don't have plans on making any of the others at this time but you know me I jump from project to project so who knows for the future
Maaan, I was working on a GoW-esque space marine Mario cosplay earlier this year. Having a tutorial like this back then would have been a major help, and maybe it would have turned out better. Welp, might be time to retry! Let's-a go!
Nice! I can see how this would be a good base for almost any type of armor. I'm built funny so it's always a struggle getting chest armor to fit me correctly. This will help. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build evolution. And of course the seeming gallons of paint you will be layering on. *grins* My paint supply always suffers when I paint like you do.
@@SKSProps I have several ideas in the works, nothing concrete yet but cosplay is part of my psychological therapy. Helps with the PTSD by giving me something else to think about.
Hello! Excellent, thank you very much for these videos, but I have a question, when downloading the templates they are already with a default size, is there no option to change the measurements according to my body?
On the paper template you adjust the parts to fit you…Otherwise change the scale in adobe acrobat or adobe reader in the print options area if you need to
I'm sorry, my English is somewhat bad, in what type of printing should I make the copies, in letter size, legal size or tabloid size, I hope you understand me😅
Thinking of doing papyrus cosplay with this. Is this easy to make for a beginner? And can I trim some of the bottom without cutting the structural integrity
I try to make my videos as eas as possible for people that are brand new to the hobby and yes trim as much as you need the stability is in the foam being glued together
@@SKSProps Update on the papyrus costume, thanks!! Your tutorial was extremely helpful and I got the piece done in a little under 4 hours. Just need to paint and im golden!
so i want to make this, and i was wondering how to print them. i scaled it to the one inch square and i couldve traced it, but i cant print it because then it will just clip parts out
I have been looking for something like this for years, as my son is a monster GOW fan! Oops.....the template is in jpg format.....is it just as easy to convert to pdf and retain the proper size? looking forward to the next installment too!! Thank you!!!

This pattern is extremely helpful. It also reminds me of the Saiyan armor build
Changed a few things especially the wrap around back but yeah work smarter not harder 🙌
Next, make Guts sword and armor black from Berserk.
I ALREADY have something to do in my free time thanks for making these amazing tutorials

While not much into GoW, That underarmor is a fantastic generic template for me to use. As always great work.
Thanks! Yeah I'm excited to see what people come up with 🙌

Paper size doesn’t matter watch my how to print templates video. You’re going to click “poster” in adobe acrobat or adobe reader it’s already scaled

I'm going to comic con in July... my bf wants to go as Marcus. Do you reckon I could get it finished in time?
I’d say yes! That should be plenty of time 👍
Friend, are you going to make the boots and the belt in the tutorial? All that's left is to have everything ready, greetings from Mexicali bC
Tune in tomorrow

Watch the how to print templates video it’s already scaled
@@SKSProps oh ok thanks :D
Can I use 12mm foam for this part and then the different sizes for the rest of the details?
You can use whatever you’d like it’s your build 👍
That’s fair, I just wanted to make sure it looks right lol thank you!
LETS GOOOOOO❤
🙌 This is going to be a very detailed series!

I fixed it thanks for the heads up. You can download the correct version now 👍
@@SKSProps oh! Thank you so much!!
is there any alternatives to the foam i looked for it and its expensive
It's only about $50-60 worth of foam you just need a sheet of each size 2,4,6,10mm and you'd still have foam left over
@@SKSProps yea I accidentally looked at 6 inch foam instead of 6 millimeter foam
Love it!
Lo are de cartón ojalá me salga
