@RegularCars please do a review on the 2017-2019 Fusion Sport, they are pretty badass unknown sleepers (the equivalent of a baby Taurus SHO) they are AWD twin turbo V6 from the factory and make 325hp and 380ftlbs stock with a 6 speed auto and electronic dampening suspension they are pretty loaded for the price. The suspension literally firms up in Sport mode electronically and the handle capabilities basically double, less body roll, less front end nose dive under hard braking, and at high speeds on a bumpy road it makes the car alot more controllable! Just trying to get one of my favorite overlooked cars out there so they can be appreciated. The reason I'd say they are pretty unknown is they only made them for 3 years and made less than 28,000 of them all together even though they were faster than the Taurus SHO they were kind of over looked I'd say cause the SHO was produced twice as long as had 40 more HP, but here is the kicker though the Fusion makes 40ftlbs more torque!

My Altima accident experience was a couple years back when a woman in one rear ended me, she hit me hard enough she was not able to flee in the car. She had to opt for the flee on foot route. She successfully dodged a truck only a few steps later to run directly into the path of a guy on a bicycle. This new accident she caused ended up breaking her leg and one of his arms. And I kid you not when the first officer arrived his first words to her were " YOU AGAIN?! "

    - interior that smelled like weed and fast food grease
    - wheel that was missing at least one lug nut

One of my childhood Friends got into 3 hit and runs with the car and we ended up calling it the TANK because it just took the hits and kept going with stupid cheap parts from the local junk yard, stop signs and ditches no problem. I change the CVT fluid every 30,000 miles and have never had any trouble with my transmission. I am the original owner of my Altima and the car has well over 100,000 miles on it. I believe the people whos transmissions are going out early on these cars are people who don't do the maintenance on these CVT's. My owners manual specifically states to change the transmission fluid.

Then on my way to work a couple days ago, I was almost hit head-on in a 40-zone by a car going way too fast for the corners. It was a seafoam green Altima, I’d say around 08ish and was being driven by a teenage kid looking down at what I assume was his phone. This Altima also had a massive off road bumper on the front. I'm pretty sure I also had 3 alloy wheels and one steel wheel. It had a 2 foot long metal rod poorly mig welded as a shift knob. It had a guage cluster from a different car just poorly shoved on the dashboard. It had a big metal knob attached to the steering wheel. It had a 5 point racing seatbelt that was only attached to the headrest. All the dashboard controls were removed and were sitting on the passenger seat with extended wires attached to them. It had a propane tank for a BBQ grill sitting in the back seat with a hose connecting it to the engine for "more power". All the electronics on the center console were just ripped out and were laying on the back seat next to the propane tank.

Altima Story: My mother owned a 3rd gen Altima. Considering that it was her first new car (the last car was a Ford Taurus with a broken transmission that couldn't go in reverse), she thought that she bought a car that could last me and anything else that was thrown at our family. Well, that didn't work out, as when she was at the OB/GYN while pregnant with my little brother, it caught on fire. After the fire department put the heap of poo out and the insurance wrote it off, she took the insurance money and went out and bought an Accord.

My father in law has a 2018 Altima and he got honked at exactly 6 times while we followed his car on an 11 hour drive to North Carolina. One of those moments forced an oncoming driver onto his brakes and his horn as this man took a left turn into 5 lane traffic while looking strictly right and slamming on the accelerator. I’ve joked on his hilariously unsafe driving for years, and seeing all of these big Altima energy memes come out of the woodwork has brought me so much joy

As a gift, I was given a 2008 Nissan Sentra with 190k + on the Odo. It runs fine, has the original transmission, a CVT, and has started to act out. The main problem is overheating of the CVT, I drive it just to go to work and some places not too far, I live In the DR. If I drive let's say 120 miles with the AC off, the transmission will present signs of overheating before I reach half of that distance. If I go with the AC on, I could drive the double of that distance with no problem, although I would need to let the car rest for half an hour. It might sound odd but that is how this car works. I believe that If I can add a cooler to the transmission, I could last me at least 3 more years or longer before I get another car, preferably a Toyota Corolla. Oh, and the transmission uses two filters that if not replaced may cause some issues too, specially the one that is located behind or near the transmission cooler.

I bought a 2012 Altima because it literally was the only car Canada Drives would sell me with my credit rating. It was a former rental car which means it had rental car tires. Have you ever ridden a skateboard 🛹 from 1970 with clay wheels? The CVT started to act up in a year, but that was ok because it was repossessed...Then I went to detox and rehab and got my life together. True story.

Btw - buy here, pay here type places that finance used car buyers with poor credit love cheap POS that they will sell for $3k down, and $80/week payments. Then within a year the car gets repo’d, and they sell it again for $3k down, and $80/week. Some of those cars go through 16 owners in 5 years! And transmission problems be damned - dealership will do the cheapest repair possible to get it back in rotation.

Experiences I've had with Altima drivers:
Being rear ended by one when I was around 12 years old. Driver didn't even realize they hit us until the passenger in her car said something.
    Being cut off by them.
    Hearing failing CVTs.
Having a coworker who drives one. The bumper is partially detached, the paint is in absolutely horrible shape, and if I remember correctly, it's the left turn signal that's out.
Almost every Altima in this area has at minimum one dent, or massive paint damage.
