70 years old and got one. Compliments my Super Meteor 650 and Scram 411, even had a Meteor 350, but that was too tame. Been riding bikes from 1969. So enjoy every moment of it, while you can. Once a biker always a biker.
Almost 78 , I have had everything and have come full circle to a 650 twin it is a bike that makes you smile, as it wafts you along.. My pals with Interceptors are between 50 and 80 years old here in western France. Lovely little bike.
I'm 57 & returning to motorcycling after a 30 year break due to cars, family etc. Got my A licence last year and bought an Interceptor 650 which makes me smile every time I ride it. I did my training and took my test on a Honda 650 CBF which I really liked, but that was a young man's bike. The Interceptor was made for me
22 year-old from Germany here. Passed my A2 test, bought an Interceptor and didn't regret anything. Looks and feel aside, the range of aftermarket parts available for the bike is easily my favorite thing about it - I just put on a new tail light and indicators the other day! A new set of pipes and wider handlebar may be in the cards as well, but I've got some research to do first.
That's my favorite part about motorcycles, even more than riding them. Just researching and upgrading parts and customizing it. And then waiting for the parts to come in the mail.
I am 66 years old, started riding at 13. Just purchased a 2022 Royal Enfield Continental 650 GT. The appeal of this motorcycle at this time in my life, is phenomenal. I also have a 1980 CSR 650 inline four Kawasaki, which I made into a cafe racer with the help of my wife, and still own. Back to basics with the Enfield 650, my new passion in motorcycling, and definitely a keeper! 👍👍🏁
I'm 58, started riding at 15, and agree. I've had tons of bikes with more power, but somehow the RE 650 just reminds me of why I love riding. She's a trusty steed. I got the Interceptor because I like a bit more of an upright riding position (moto-cross background), but those GTs are so nice looking.
It's awesome reading these comments and seeing such vastly different age ranges. I'm 23, mines arriving this Friday. And the RE buying experience feels like walking into an old fashioned pub, everyone's really welcoming and nice. Never had this before!
43 year old in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. I purchased an Interceptor in March of this year. Best bike I've ever had. Couldn't agree with you more. Keep putting out the great content. Cheers!
53 and got a meteor to shuffle back and forth to work. Shortly after I bought it, there was a steal on a 2021 interceptor with only 320 miles. Well for $4k US, it was a no brain'er. I just took it out today for a 90 mile 4 hour trip. Yes, back road exploring. A great way to let go of a week's stress!
26 years of age here! I really love the retro styling. It also seems to have everything you need without too much distractions and general clutter. Plain driving fun! Just got my full license and have ridden some more powerful bikes, but this one really gives me a special feeling. The engine sounds like a well-oiled sewing machine and the pipes give some nice little pops here and there. Definitely buying one for myself when the funds allow it!
I‘m 24 years old and I passed my drivers license test about one and a half weeks ago. I bought the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 with the colour sunset strip because i simply just fell in love with it. I‘m having so much fun with it and I think this was a very good choice. By the way keep it going your videos are awesome! 🙏🏼
That colour-way is awesome! I went with the chrome, but that was right up there. I'm from Los Angeles/Hollywood, so the name alone almost sold me. Ride safe, mate!
I just treated myself to a 2015 Bonneville T100 for my 30th birthday, and couldn’t ask for a more suitable first bike! I would have got a brand new Interceptor if I hadn’t found such a good deal on this T100 (only 2500 miles and well under the £5k mark) 👌 Royal Enfield really are making great machines these days!
I'm 37 and in the US. Last time I rode - and the first time - was about 13 years ago. I had the pleasure of riding my father's '78 Honda CB750. And I loved it immensely. Lately I've been looking into riding again, and I've loved seeing what Royal Enfield has to offer. It reminds me of that CB750 character and simplicity that I love. Basic motorcycles that have old school character to them that are simple and not super fast. This is honestly the only style of bike that has ever appealed to me.
got my motorcycle license at 69 bought a used Harley Street 750 as my first bike Got my Interceptor the following year all the bike I will ever need well behaved and a blast to ride always a smile on my face
What i love about this bike , for older riders taking care of this bike is easy no end and it will never overwelm you , it will get you any place you wish to go , for young riders its power will not put you in trouble when a young buck gerts over zealus , more so you will learn how to care for it without all the new fangled electronics , in both cases you will have cash left over to travel or getting yourself travelling equipment or parts to make it a bit more sporty without braking the bank . For myself it is just a fantastick ride option that keeps me in touch with what is the joy of riding in its pure simpleness . By the way i am 76 now and still love riding especially this past present iteration of a Royal Enfield
Hi Darcy. Really enjoying yours and the Old Man's reviews. I'm in Australia, 67 years old, been riding on and off for decades. I sold my Triumph Thunderbird 900 two years ago and told my wife I was done with motorcycling. Three days later I bought a Himalayan. 10 months later I bought an Interceptor. I love them both, and now I have the self-inflicted problem of deciding which one to ride on a given day!
That is a good problem to have. I have an Interceptor and am considering getting a Himalayan. I'm from the States, but currently living and loving it in Australia.
I really like your videos and opinions. Excellent review of this machine. 59 years old and I have 30 years riding a motorcycle. I've had several (Transalp, VT750, Deauville, XX1100, VZR 1800R2, Pan European and R1200GS Special Edition). I would love to have an R18 but I don't like the color of the tires 🙂. After 3 years without a motorcycle, I decided to buy a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 in December 2022. Wonderful. Pure and without electronics. It's not surprising but I love it.
I am now 66 and I liked my Interceptor so much that I bought a second one. I have a city bike and a country bike; both are modified Interceptors. I have decat' silencers and headers, YYC shocks and front fork kit, touring seat, Diablo side panels, LED indicators and brake light and many other replacement parts. The bikes have shed about 15 kg each now and have better bhp and torque. The Interceptor is all the bike that I need 👍.
Excellent video my age is 75 and live in Guernsey with a speed limit of 35 mph maximum love the sound and riding it have had the bike now for 2years and now have clocked 478 miles
32 year old guy, Utah USA. First bike is a 22' Interceptor. Absolutely in love and get people asking about it or commenting about it every time I take it anywhere. Plan on keeping it forever and eventually getting the 865 kit for it. Have fun and keep the rubber side down friends!
Welcome back Mr Darcy. Pretty much agree with all you said, If I had a more understandable missus I'd have one of these in a heartbeat as a second bike.
I was 57 when a friend taught me how to ride a bike. In Belgium, when you have a 40 year old license, it allows you to ride just about anything, so no worries about paperwork and all that. That first bike was an old Honda 125CBR, but soon after I got the hang of it it died on me. So I bought a two year old demo interceptor from the nearest dealer. He told me I would never regret it, it would grow on me. After the little 125, it was like riding a storm, but I loved it from the first try. Two years later I still love it. Don't let anyone tell you 47hp is lame, it is so not. And one more thing: Mr Darcy had some corrosion on the review bike. Mine was out in the Belgian weather every single day for two years and you still need sunglasses to look at it. It Reminds me I have to go clean it.
The 650 RE is a very nice engine with LOTS of potential inside when/if you desire it. They actually built a 60+ horse motor then restrict it to 47...but as long as you get a Euro4 version it's really easy to bump it back up. Air filter is very restrictive as a first mod then eventually you have proper headpipes and cans along with either S&S or Kent cam and you end up with a LOT more midrange and top end without losing anything down low. To make the pipes work even the Euro4 ECU needs tuning....suggest the PowerTronic box which is a lot more flexible and useful than the Power Commander because it can control both fuel and ignition timing as well as offer a plug-in Quick Shifter. All these are available from PC but you have to buy a separate ignition and Quick Shifter module which is $$$$$. Without ever pulling the head the 650 easily matches or exceeds the period British Twin performance and still gets 70+ mpg's (USA gallons). Great bike!
I am almost 61, been riding 44+ years, had over 40 motorcycles, and up until buying my Interceptor new in 2020, I had never kept a bike very long, so that shows just how much I love the Interceptor. I have upgraded her over the years, I won’t bore you with the details (I did a vid recently with those), but there are more things to come. I just wish it had a bit more “oomph”, but will hopefully be buying a pair of big bore downpipes fairly soon, which might just sort that a bit. I am very brand loyal, as I also have a Classic 350, and promote the brand at every opportunity, but RE want to be a bit careful on their pricing. I paid a staggeringly low £5200 for mine in 2020. Yes the dealer gave me a bit of a deal, but the RRP was well under £6k back then. Now it is heading towards the price of the other, better equipped, and quicker bikes out there. If Classic looks aren’t important to a rider, and they are perfectly fine with pointy plastic things, or the amazingly spec’d offerings from China, then sales will definitely be affected, which will be a real shame. We also need to mention the distribution/warranty cock-up. The sacking of the importers (MotoGB) before having set themselves up first, is definitely having an effect on buyer confidence. All that said, I still love my RE’s, I just hope they sort themselves out asap. Judging by the demographic of viewers of my channel, the main age group of people showing interest is 55-64, though with the increase of councils reducing speed limits, increasing the use of average speed camera’s, making provisions for police camera vans etc etc, that may change in the future. As usual, thanks for sharing, and showing your love for RE’s.
The double-cradle frame (look at the welding 👍) engine, transmission and tank are top shelf. The rest mostly is no frills, but a perfect platform for customisation. Thats why I love it.
Now at 67yrs. and retired I will be acquiring a RE Interceptor 650 in the near future. I did not own or ride a bike for the last 20 years when I sold my BMW R100RS. Nostalgia to the late 60’s and 70’s is calling.
I am 68 years old, and bought my Euro 5 'Inty' new last October. Having been off a bike for a while, I wanted ideally, something like a 650 Bonneville. Obviously the required price for that was out of the question, but when my brother turned up on his Inty, and let me ride it, I was sold. It defo doesn't disappoint. It is an ideal all rounder. We cruise country side and highway alike without any issues, and I would say it would make an excellent tourer too. I have changed pipes and silencers, colour coded side panels, and a rack, which is only fitted when needed. I have changed the handlebar mounts for the Motec units, which raise the bars one inch, and pulls them back by the same, and I have added a colour matched wind deflector and a custom seat. It's clearly my bike now and I love it. Great report Mr Darcy. Keep em coming!
66, riding since I was 18, bought mine when I was 64, having sold my Tracer 900 and “purchased” two new knees. Now my beloved second bike, have raided Hitchcock’s accessories, and waiting for scrambler tyres. A real Blues breaker. Cheers.
I'm 33 with a Honda CRF300L for my first bike. I love it for forest roads, but thinking of getting the Interceptor as a city bike. Its a great bike for the price. I love the looks / sound and I don't need too much power.
56years and I have had other motorcycles beforehand but i find the RE Interceptor is the perfect every day any time any where bike. It’s very customizable and that’s fun to buy stuff for it and try different things. I will definitely never trade it or sell it, it’s that classic looking modern bike you just want to keep your entire life!
Thanks for another great video. I appreciate all the work involved. 55 years young and love ripping around on mine here in middle America 🇺🇸. I love the scenery where you film! God bless and safe travels!
I’m 72 and my daily rider has been a vintage ( ‘84) Honda VT750 Shadow Custom, but not liking the riding position anymore and looking to downsize a bit. The Int650 is at the top of my list and intend to have one this summer,if all goes well. Great looking and sounding bike. Thanks for the review 👍. Cheers, Dan 🏍🇨🇦
As a 50 Year old Motorcyclist the Interceptor is absolutely all the bike I’ll ever need…had my full license for many years and never once had the urge to ride anything with more power. Didn’t know about the Dambusters practicing there as Derwent Reservoir in the Peak District was also used as a stretch of water to test the bouncing bomb - an ingenious method of destroying dams, designed by Sir Barnes Wallis from Ripley in Derbyshire.
Im 26 and bought one of these as my first bike about a month ago. It's absolutely perfect for me, and as you said a very affordable way to get in to a reliable modern classic. Cracking video mate 🇦🇺
I'm 59 now still love my bikes, I've put a deposit down today on a Royal enfield super meteor. Primarily because of you and your father, I'm selling my Ducati multistrada as I've lost the desire to ride it as it gives me panic attacks. I'm going to re teach myself the joy of learning to ride again, and what better bike to learn on. I hope your mother tries again to ride. Dave
I’m 50 years old and have been riding over 30 years. 2023 Interceptor 650 is at this moment my only motorcycle and I absolutely love it. It’s funny how we come back around to appreciating the “beginner bikes” as being the ones we want to ride the snot out of every day.
I brought a 2022 Orange Crush Interceptor new as my 2nd weekend bike and love it to bits . I have put slip on mufflers and K&N air filter that's opened it up nicely . I have a sports bike with 75hp as my daily and when I jump on the Interceptor the ' Grin Factor ' out ways the 50hp RE with ease , and that SOUND ! . I am 55yrs old and been riding for over 40 years , from 500cc 1952 ES2 Norton's to late 80's Japanese 4 cylinder 140hp rockets .
Same as always, loved the video! I’m 29 and have just bought an Interceptor as my first bike. Initially I was looking at the likes of the XSR 700 but crazy insurance premiums meant I went for something a bit more tame, but am still very happy with the bike. Perfect for modifying and will find out over the next few months how well it’ll cope with some multi day rides around Wales!
Hi great content as usual! I past my test (full license) back in the day at the age of 18. I am now 56 and have returned to motorcycles after 20 years away. The interceptor was the perfect bike for me and I just love it.
im 26 years old and im aiming to get my A license then buy the interceptor here in portugal, i love this bike really affordable beautiful and the sound is completely amazing.
44...I've had mine for about 1 1/2 years. It's a very fun bike, but I find myself riding my Speedmaster more often. My 16 yr old son however loves it and rides it every chance he gets. I've kitted it out with new suspension and knobby tires for cruising around on all the gravel back roads around here.
Great video, absolutely love the interceptor, i brought one a year ago I've spent around 1500 pound on aftermarket parts making it own,I've owned Japanese bikes all my life so time to enjoy the scenery, fantastic bike, im 58 years old and still in love with motorcycling. 🏍👍🇬🇧🙂
64 years now. I have been riding my entire adult live, got various bikes ever since, mainly big endurance bikes. During the past years I enjoyed my HD Ultra Limited, did some long trips on it together with my wife. Love this bike, I really do. But when I am driving alone, I thought it would be a good idea to get something smaller, more agil. Bought a 2020 Interceptor recently. Did some modifications towards a scrambler style. What can I say, I love this bike as well. When entering my garage, I am spoilt for choice now.
yup 70yrs old, an a biker for 55yrs, trail bikes, roads bikes, harleys and Cb1300;s, in shed, and now looking for an Interceptor to see if will cross the world and back..great video as I have never since an Interceptor in the flesh as was wondering about size and height..plenty of videos of views from helmuts or with little guys, but 6ft, and 85kg..no do many , so thanks
I’m late to the party, 39yo, got a Hunter350 2023, sold it and bought an Interceptor 2024 0km. I don’t know how to describe it, this bike is just too good to be true. A truly masterpiece from Royal Enfield.
Im 69 years old, have owned many bikes and still have a small collection. Im a longtime fan builder of street trackers. This RE 650 makes a great platform for this style of motorcycle. A blast to ride!
67 years old. I bought one and have had it for 2 and half years. I think its a great bike, like the Bonneville it is a modern bike and rides like one. I preferred it to the Bonneville 900, (not the 120 that's awesome).
It’s a very good point you make about the license system we have here. It puts so many younger riders off and is ridiculously expensive and long winded🤯
I also forgot to mention that a riding school won't lend you a bike for the test unless you have done the whole course. Also you cannot ride a A license compatible bike to the test on your own because you are not licensed to ride it until you have passed, so it's a catch 22 situation.
Thank you Mr Darcy! Really appreciate all of your reviews and TH-cam films. You and your dad have made winter months and shoulder surgery recoup much easier…. 62 yoa and returned to mc last year after about 15 years without a bike. Purchased a RE Classic 350…. Love every minute I’ve been on it…. But already searching for a bit more power…. Perhaps the interceptor will suffice in near future! Thanks again
34 yo form Argentina here, I'm getting mine this Friday, very excited! Loved your comment about getting a Triumph next, exactly my plan (a Speed Twin 900 in my case) in the meantime I'll surely enjoy the interceptor
62 and riding since ‘79. I have tooo many bikes at the moment. I like the interceptor but I think I’d go for the Super Meteor. I do have a T100, a Daytona T595, a Tiger 955i, a BMW R1100RT and a Enfield 350T but I just got a Meteor as a runaround and I’m loving the smaller bike Bert get that Super Meteor ordered before I’m too old!
I’m 69 and have a Continental GT 650, I love it having made a few tweaks but to be honest, I would have loved it when I was much younger had they been available. I’ve never been a fan of sports bikes and in my opinion 4 cylinder bikes lack character compared to twins and triples. Both the Interceptor and GT are great bikes for today’s busy roads where high performance sports bikes simply make no sense.
I love these type of bikes, I am 26 btw. Moved to Mexico a year ago and have a Honda Wave 110. When I was back living in Germany, I had a Bandit 600, did the upgade from A2 to A and then got a Inazuma 250 with 24hp 😀
73 years old and currently riding a BMW R1200S. The RE 650 Interceptor looks and sounds just like the bikes I lusted after in my teens. In a year or two when I can no longer bend my knees and back sufficiently enough to ride the R1200S, the Interceptor is top of my list as a replacement.
Let it rip potato chip! Love the bike and your enthusiasm. Maybe we should ask, who doesn't like this awesome machine. Hang on to sixteen as long as you can!
67 years old and been riding bikes all my life - Amongst those when new - Yamaha RD350, Honda CB400f,Suzuki GT750,Honda 750K1, Kawasaki 900 Z1B. Yamaha RD400. Honda CX650E. Honda CX500. Gotta say though the 2020 Interceptor gives me the most pleasure to ride - Its fun to ride and so easy to maintain. Or maybe i am mellowing in my old age! Cheers Ian (from Queensland).
54 years of age and it's my first bike, fell in love with it when I first saw it in the showroom and fell in love with it all over again riding it out of the showroom.
Beautiful bike. 52 now and after 12 Years of non-riding (a bike) I think about it to get one again and this one is (with the T120) a great choice. We´ll see. By the way ... stunning landscape ... like in everyone of your videos. Unreal. I think I gotta take my family and move there. 🙂
I’m 74 years young and ride a pointy plastic modern bike. It’s perfect for me as it’s light, low, very economical, cheap to insure but above all, great fun to ride. All my contemporaries keep telling me I should be riding an Enfield but I like my pointy plastic bike too much. (The fact that it’s got 42 bhp has a lot to do with it).
I bought a R.E. Interceptor last year, summer 2022 when I became 50 years old. I sold the Interceptor in the end of April this year. It is a good bike to ride. In the summer of 2022 I rode it across Norway in 8 days, from the South (Oslo) to the North (Finnmark). I sold it because I found it top-heavy to move around in the garage, and I did not like the look of the slim rear tire.
Young man, bought it in 2019 and now I’m 54. A great machine by RE. Needs customisation to feel the ride better. I changed it to an adjustable clutch lever which made it more comfortable. Reduced the height by two inches using aftermarket accessories in rear shock absorbers. Changed the silencer which reduced the weight significantly. Made changes to the slanting of the handlebar using aftermarket accessories. The bike has now become an amazing one to ride .👍
I was at first ignoring the 650 Royal Enfields while researching my first bike, but I am slowly starting to seriously consider it - especially since the 650 Bear was officially revealed.
60, have a Downton drag with extras, red roosters, engine guard, tour seat, clutch and brake handles from Hitchcock's, ect..love it also have a 67 bonny 650, I ride it but it's a 4 speed so I go for coffee or ice cream, lots a compliments for both, fun
Great bike ,I've had mine three years, done 10,000 miles on it now ,no issues, I bought it as a retirement present to myself as a sunny Sundays bike but I ride it more than my other bikes (a 2014 650 Vstrom and a 2000 SV650, the Vstrom is for two up touring with the missus and the extra luggage😅) the SV was project rebuild. now as I enjoy it so much! It does it all, a short fifty mile evening ride or a five hundred mile camping trip around Wales no problem. Some people complain about the seat, the more you ride it you get used to it . As for my age I'm 68 and have been riding since I got my licence at 16 , never stopped, I dread the day that I will no longer be able to ride. So I take every opportunity to ride. Great review, cheers 🍻
Good review ...In two weeks time I'll be 50 and love owning this bike ! happy 21st for then!....the bike can be hugely improved with a DNA air filter in combo with new pipes ( enfield precision ) YSS front forks and anything you like on the back - went for Hagons - keep up the great vids
The Royal Enfield's are beautiful bikes. I test drove a Int650 last weekend. I ride a HD Softail Heritage Classic. I will have a RE or 2 when I get the room.
My first road bike was a 1972 Yamaha XS650 these vertical twins are so cool. Ive owned many touring bikes Goldwing and Harleys still have a road King. But recently purchased a triumph thruxton got great deal on it and really enjoy it. I was seriously considering the Royal Enfield interceptor. And probably would have purchased one. I'm 68 years old and have cover @ five hundred thousand miles touring I'm at the point that I want to trailer my bike to the area's that are my favorites and want a bike that is lighter easyer to handle and my riding pals are on the same page with me so this type of bike is a real winner in my eyes has great looks riding feel and sounds. And are showing up at the spots two thumbs up 👍
Saw an Interceptor last night, with a seat cowl like the Continental. Looked quite small and attractive, like the Continental but with more comfy handlebars.
I'm just going through the comments and every single comment makes me so want to go get one tomorrow morning! Been thinking about ir for a while and I reckon this really is the one. Great channel, by the way! Cheers!
Greetings Darcy. I'm 65 and bought my Interceptor (INT here in the US) new in March, 2020. I've always loved the 1960's style British Twins and the INT certainly looks the part. Glad to see the 'Old Man' is recovering well.
44 years old, and went with the sister bike, the GT650 Continental, as I preferred its overall look and styling. One comment I keep hearing is about it being a bike that is great as a starter bike before moving on to something with more power. I have always had litre Japanese sports bikes, and I have more fun riding this around country lanes then I ever had on a GSXR or a Fireblade because you can actually ride the bike hard and to its full potential without feeling like you are on the edge. It gets to 60mph more pretty quickly, and will go beyond that quite happily, cruising at 75/80 on motorways with no issues at all. In this day and age, that is really all you want to be doing a lot of the time with the amount of speed cameras out there. Yeah, I may get to the cafe 90 seconds behind my mates on 1000's or 1200's but I arrive with a far bigger grin!
Another nice review. I am 61 and have the interceptor and continental GT and enjoy them both. Good luck with the license upgrade, it does seem to be a bit of a pain to do the whole thing again, they should have an upgrade ride with an instructor who confirms you are all good, like the CBT.
I'm 49, yes I've got the full license, I rode a Honda CB 650 R, no I didn't like it for the useless ammount of power which only resulted in tremendous cost for tax, insurance, fuel and tickets and yes I've happily downgraded to a Honda NC 700 X DCT. And from this ancient point of view I can asure you: 1. You're absolutely right. The RE Interceptor is a terrific piece of iron! 2. Considering my NC 700 X DCT believe me there are people out there not knowing what this funny lever on the left side of the handel bar is 🙂 3. Don't tell me you don't know the proverb "who brakes loses". - It's no bad idea getting a little hint on the use of the brake levers once in while. 4. You might not like it, but it makes sense to do the test again. It's the states clumsy atempt to keep you safe. Make sure you become an old biker! (Hint: Don't go faster than your guardian angel can fly.) I really like your show and I would hate to see it end just because a few horses went wild.
70 years old and got one. Compliments my Super Meteor 650 and Scram 411, even had a Meteor 350, but that was too tame. Been riding bikes from 1969. So enjoy every moment of it, while you can. Once a biker always a biker.
sm650 or interceptor?
Exactly the same here and just bought a Honda NC 750 for touring. You’re only 70 once!! 👍
No matter how many times I watch Darcy in action, it's like watching his Old man. I'd be a proud father.
@@madhavtrivedi9500 I have both sm650 and Interceptor
@@paulshenton6527interesting. Do they feel the same power wise. I just tried the SM but it’s been a year since I test ride the interceptor.
I'm 19 and I own one as my first bike. Fantastic bike. You'd never get bored of it.
Almost 78 , I have had everything and have come full circle to a 650 twin it is a bike that makes you smile, as it wafts you along.. My pals with Interceptors are between 50 and 80 years old here in western France. Lovely little bike.

That's my favorite part about motorcycles, even more than riding them. Just researching and upgrading parts and customizing it. And then waiting for the parts to come in the mail.
I’m 27 and just got one for my first bike. So much fun, amazing looks, and I get a compliment every time I take it out!
I am 66 years old, started riding at 13. Just purchased a 2022 Royal Enfield Continental 650 GT. The appeal of this motorcycle at this time in my life, is phenomenal. It's awesome reading these comments and seeing such vastly different age ranges.
I'm 23, mines arriving this Friday. And the RE buying experience feels like walking into an old fashioned pub, everyone's really welcoming and nice. Never had this before!
Yeah, I noticed that too. You won't be disappointed. Congratulations on your bike, stay safe, and rock on!
I have got an Interceptor and I am 59 years old, have recently upgraded the suspension and exhaust which makes a really good bike great.
I am 60 and have the gt650. Love love love. What did you choose for suspension upgrades and how big of a difference do they make?
I just treated myself to a 2015 Bonneville T100 for my 30th birthday, and couldn’t ask for a more suitable first bike! I would have got a brand new Interceptor if I hadn’t found such a good deal on this T100 (only 2500 miles and well under the £5k mark) 👌
Royal Enfield really are making great machines these days!
@@RalphPerreca also 69 so very well done to you and enjoy and stay safe ……had my licence for over 50 years
Hi , thanks for the review. I'm 56 and got my motorcycle driver's license last year and I own a Mark 3 2021.Oh and I'm from Montreal Canada.
I am 36 yrs old and started riding a year back. Interceptor 650 is my first twin cylinder bike and I absolutely love it.
@@mindbomb2000 love my interceptor and himmi, also have a ct90.. a total departure from the others, it's a fun little goat. 😃
Great real world review ! on a real world motorcycle ! with a bit of history and beautiful countryside thrown in 👍
32 year old guy, Utah USA.
Pay for your wife to do her license.
Great bike!
Thanks for the info! I'm pleased with the stock power, but a bit of a bump is always welcomed.
i believe this was on purpose in order to offer the 750 soon.
@@olekebollekemololekebollek7215 absolutely 👍
Cheers.
I'm 35 and have a Super Meteor 650 and Classic 500. Had a Himalayan before too!
I'm 33 with a Honda CRF300L for my first bike. I love it for forest roads, but thinking of getting the Interceptor as a city bike. Its a great bike for the price. I love the looks / sound and I don't need too much power.
Great to see you back Mr Darcy 👍🏼
Great review with some history and lovely countryside
Cheers, Dan 🏍🇨🇦
i own an interceptor and im 20, bought it like 3 weeks ago, absolutely love it
As a 50 Year old Motorcyclist the Interceptor is absolutely all the bike I’ll ever need…had my full license for many years and never once had the urge to ride anything with more power.
Didn’t know about the Dambusters practicing there as Derwent Reservoir in the Peak District was also used as a stretch of water to test the bouncing bomb - an ingenious method of destroying dams, designed by Sir Barnes Wallis from Ripley in Derbyshire.
Bought mine six months ago, had a Himalayan before. 70 now and no regrets, a great all round bike!
Im 26 and bought one of these as my first bike about a month ago. It's absolutely perfect for me, and as you said a very affordable way to get in to a reliable modern classic. Cracking video mate 🇦🇺
56 years old. Have been riding one since 2019. 5 years now riding interceptor. Am happy with it. Its fantastic. I take it out only for long rides. ❤👌👍
The bike is well capable of long rides and touring ,you'll enjoy it 👍
I’m 23 and just got this as a first bike. Love the styling and simplicity
I’m 34 and had one for 3 years. It’s a great bike. Brilliant allrounder. I prefer it to my Thruxton 900.
34.. been through my sportsbike phase and loving my Interceptor life now
yup 70yrs old, an a biker for 55yrs, trail bikes, roads bikes, harleys and Cb1300;s, in shed, and now looking for an Interceptor to see if will cross the world and back..great video as I have never since an Interceptor in the flesh as was wondering about size and height..plenty of videos of views from helmuts or with little guys, but 6ft, and 85kg..no do many , so thanks
66 years old. Bought myself one as a retirement present. I have never been without at least one bike since I was 17.
I'm 60 this year and have an interceptor. Started riding in 1980 at 16 at 17 and had an Yamaha RD250LC hooligan 2 stroke 😎🏍
71 years old. Added 650 Interceptor to 1997 Harley FXD and 1955 Matchless 350. Love it. Did 2,000-mile round trip to SW France without any problem.
67 years old. I bought one and have had it for 2 and half years. I think its a great bike, like the Bonneville it is a modern bike and rides like one. I preferred it to the Bonneville 900, (not the 120 that's awesome).
I am 37 and just got a new one. I love motorcycles with a classic personality.
Awesome enjoy your new bike 👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome, enjoy the Interceptor when it arrives 👍🏼👍🏼
62 and riding since ‘79. I have tooo many bikes at the moment. I like the interceptor but I think I’d go for the Super Meteor. I do have a T100, a Daytona T595, a Tiger 955i, a BMW R1100RT and a Enfield 350T but I just got a Meteor as a runaround and I’m loving the smaller bike
Bert get that Super Meteor ordered before I’m too old!
I'm 24 years old and I bought interceptor 650(Baker Express) 2 years ago and still use it for my daily commute. Very good motorcycle.
64, Interceptor 650, Honda VTR 1000, Yamaha MT09 Tracer GT. New Zealand.
68 and have had motorcycles my entire life- mostly Suzukis and other Japanese bikes. But since I bought this last year, it's pretty much all I ride.
54 years of age and it's my first bike, fell in love with it when I first saw it in the showroom and fell in love with it all over again riding it out of the showroom.
I just bought one as my first bike! Only 24 years old but I love the retro style so much.
I am 32 and I own the new interceptor variant with the blacked out engine casing and alloy wheels , absolute loving it
Beautiful bike.
I am 19 yo ,been having the int 650 since a year now. It definitely has character
Always enjoy your opinion on the bikes . Honest and to the point . I have decided to stop riding but I stay subscribed and continue to watch
I live in Texas, I'm 37 years old, and I just bought one.
Cheers!
Thank you and great to hear 👍🏼
70 yrs old with an upgraded Conti 650.
Love it !
And from this ancient point of view I can asure you:
1. You're absolutely right. The RE Interceptor is a terrific piece of iron!
2. Considering my NC 700 X DCT believe me there are people out there not knowing what this funny lever on the left side of the handel bar is 🙂
(Hint: Don't go faster than your guardian angel can fly.)
I really like your show and I would hate to see it end just because a few horses went wild.
Interesting perspective, which I think will encourage other younger riders to consider this bike. Good job. 👍😎❤️✅
