majora's Mask is one of the best games i've ever played, when i was a kid, both zeldas were amazing, I never compared one to another because they felt a lot different
The updated save system was completely unneeded. The very fact the game was on the 3DS largely solved the problem of possibly needing to stop playing and pick it up later, becasue you could just simply close the 3DS and it goes into sleep mode, which effectively what the Owl Statues did in the original version a mid run single use save. I also got suckered by it on the 3DS version, thinking the Song of Time had been saving my game, because for some reason it no longer did that, and I had to redo a large portion of the game becasue of it. They didn't need to nerf the Song of Time on us, they could have just an alternate save feature in addition, or not even bothered because it was on the 3DS that suspend and pick up function later was built into the hardware.
I know it doesn't make sense, but I always pronounced Cucco as "koo-koo" same as a "cuckoo clock". That's what I called them as a kid, and I'm sticking to it. If I were to try and pronounce it correctly though, I'd say "koo-koh", since the "cu" in "cuckoo clock" is pronounced "koo", and I think it likely they were going for the "cuckoo clock" bird connection when naming the cuccos.
I never thought I'd see the day Majoras Mask music played while watching Ocarina of Time. As a kid that would've confused me alot of which game is which lol
"... that three-day timer requires you to have some idea of what you want to do!" Hence why it's my least favorite Zelda of all :D I'm a lazy gamer. I just wanna go do the stuff I wanna do when I wanna do it. Day-night cycles are fine, but ticking clocks? Not my happy space.
Once you learn the song of inverted time the ticking clock doesn’t become that much of a problem. I feel like the 3DS remake made the game more palatable for those who didn’t like the ticking clock feeling.

We’re currently in a heyday of INCREDIBLE time-loop games - the best of which (Outer Wilds) wear their Majora’s Mask lineage on their sleeve
Ocarina of Time - Few sidequests, many dungeons

I think you’re right. Daruk pronounces it “Koo-koh” in a memory from the champion’s ballad dlc in breath of the wild
So according to NoA localization team the official pronunciation is Koo-KOH. I am assuming the Oh is like Ohio?
I also grew up pronouncing it "koo-koo"
lets goooo
Ok! Where we goin’?

I couldn’t not talk about Ocarina when discussing Majora.
