Thanks for visiting Rocky Mountain Nat’l Park, we’ve been to Estes Park, I love this state. Glad Jonathon could come. I see it’s been a while since this video.
I really enjoyed this video. I am going to be moving Estes Park I currently live in Goodland Kansas which you had to drive through to get to Estes Park. But what put a bigger smile on face was when you said y'all going back Arkansas because Arkansas is my home state I am looking forward to watching more of your videos Thank you for sharing
great video...no goofy crap like so many others. good steady camera and nice commentary. actually learn stuff. its very beautiful scenery! thanks for sharing!
My wife and I enjoy watching your videos...we may or may not be living vicariously through them when we are not camping ourselves. We take very similar camping trips except we glamp in a Taxa Cricket!
Thank you for watching! We do the same with other channels as well when we can’t get out as much. We have looked at those Taxa Crickets. What do you think of them?
@@CodyandKellieThe Cricket is great! We bought the Tiger Moth first, then upgraded to the Cricket and it is perfect for us. It is the perfect combination of comfort, simplicity and minimalism, and keeps you immersed in nature.
Another great video. I especially like to see your camp setup, in-camp activities, meal preparation, and daily activities. Will re-post it on my Facebook page.
We have done The Loch a couple times..never been brave enough to do Sky Pond, but our daughter & son-in-law did while we kept the twin grandson's on one of our trips. Mary's Lake is where we camp too! love RMNP, but it is getting waaaay too crowded these days!! A lot has changed since the 1st time we went camping there!! BUT guys, go to Ridgeway/Ouray area..we dry camped last fall in our 5th wheel right off 550 where you do Ophur Pass..so magical!! I loved it so much there..great spot and those gold aspen just set you mind & soul right!!
I camped in Estes Park in 2005 and had a wonderful trip. 1.5 weeks in New Mexico and went to many of the places in your video and then 1.5 weeks in Estes Park. Hiked sun up to sun down, fly fished many streams and mountain lakes, and just sit looking at the beautiful mountains. Planning a return trip. Keep up the great work with your videos and looking forward to your Utah shows! See you on the other......
We bet you had a great time! Hope you return soon. Thank you and we will try our best to get you some good content on our trip to Utah. See you in Jun! Also, don't forget to text me so I can help you with your Arkansas trip.
Planning my trip to COLORADO next summer and watching your earlier videos are hilarious! Love you guys and cant wait to sign up for your HAMMOCK YOGA seshs! 😂
hey miss Kelly,I can only imagine how y’all felt after that hike, that is way above my age group😂😂just remember, when ur that tired,a glass of wine will always make it better🍷
Great video thanks for sharing. Learned a lot about sky pond....heading there end of this month. I’m hoping w Covid there will be fewer people. We’ll be in Moraine Campground so hopefully a little less driving to the trailhead. Thanks for the helpful information!
Hey guys, just wanted to come back and comment. I discovered you prior to my trip last month to Denver for RMNP. I stayed in Estes Park (Airbnb) and we hiked The Loch (couldn't make it to Sky Pond unfortunately). We loved driving Trail Ridge Road, and I couldn't be any more thankful that I made it there before the wildfires have gotten out of control on West and East sides of RMNP. Your video was amazing, great inspiration. While I was not able to try the restaurant in Boulder...if you make it back there is an empanada place in Boulder called Rincon Argentino. (MUST HAVE). Peace out and happy camping.
I'm a US expat living in Istanbul, Turkey and slowly working my way through your vids. They are amazing. My dream is to return soon and take a car trip to many of the places you've featured. RMNP just went to the top of my list.
“This is an aspen and you can tell b/c of the way it is. Good tree.” Ha! I don’t remember what those videos were called, but great flashbacks. Nicely played.
What a beautiful video with breathtaking views..loved it..I also visited RMNP recently and made a video too...I loved this amazing place..full of natural wonders....it takes you to a different world altogether...!Regards!
You have to visit Leadville soon and see where the Arkansas River starts. My son Josh and his wife Liz are staff at Colorado Mountain College and I'm sure happy to show you around! They acquired a nice yellow 70's VW recently that would be a hoot to drive around in Summer. Sure they'd loan it to you...Take care.
I asked my grandparents which state was the best overall and they said CO with out a doubt I must go see this for myself.Have you ever thought about Smoky MT Highly recommend in the fall check out Dandridge, TN there is an awesome cavern there on English Mountain.
Surprisingly, the Rockies are much younger than the eroded Appalachian Mountains and the Appalachians are among the oldest on earth. Both awesome mountains.
This may be off subject, but may I ask what people in Granby area use for bug repellent to make your area comfortable can you use anything do the zappers work.: I am new to colo. . So any help is good help is the kind of stressing out this week cuz I'm going to go visit Saturday thank you
I was wondering what the measurement were for the ingredients to your pancake recipe. Just your normal batch if you don't mind. I really would like to try it.

When we are primitive we normally leave the table and bedding in the tent. Not to worry to much in an established camp ground we would leave dishes and other stuff.
You always show cool places. Its nice how your Brother comes along and you guys get along so well. Loved the hammock yoga smiles.
I love your videos and the upbeat music goes well with all your scenery. You guys rock!
Thank you!

Boulder is quite a trek ! Especially for tired hikers. Looked good though 🍗
Estes is usually fun. Thanks for taking us to sky pond.
Yes it is. The food is so good though. Thanks for watching
I love watching you guys have fun! ...Also I'm glad I'm not the only grown adult whose first thought about the pika was Pikachu. 🤣
We’re happy you enjoy it. I wonder if that’s where they got the characters name from 🤔

It's funny when you were recording the pika I had to Google it and my first thought was the same, is Pikachu one 😂
How Beautiful !!! Thank you thank you

This is an aspen. You can tell it's an aspen, because of the way it is! :) love that quote

It’s an amazing experience driving across this country for sure!
I loved your video! We're still trying to decide whether to visit here or Petit Jean Arkansas in May. We'll definitely do both eventually.
Thank you for watching! They are both amazing places.
Awesome video 👍😃 I'm glad I'm subscribed 😃

Look's like a great trip out to RMNP,, though I think the Altitude, may have messed with you a bit. Kelly's Salmon always looks so good.
Thank you, but it did get to us on that trail. Got really light headed.

It is on our list for sure! We so want to see the start of that mighty river. We would love to have yall give us a tour! Thank you for watching!
I just hiked sky pond 2 days ago and we got to the parking lot at 4:30am and we only found 2 open spots! Worth the hike
though!!
Its crazy how fast it fills up. But your right... so worth it.
Little factoid: Aspen bark is photosynthetic, it can grow even when the leaves drop off in fall.
Mowcowbell that is amazing. Did not know. Thanks for watching by the way.

I thought I had seen everyone of your videos and yet this one just popped up on my recommend. How did it sneak past me?
Surprisingly, the Rockies are much younger than the eroded Appalachian Mountains and the Appalachians are among the oldest on earth. Both awesome mountains.
I stood in the loch barefooted back in April! There still snow on the ground.
We don’t think we could have placed our feet in that water. Thank you for watching!
My home state...beautiful! Did you get a chance to see the Satnley Hotel?
Thanks for watching! We have never heard of that hotel. Where is it located?
It's in Estes Park. Parts of the 1980 film the Shining with Jack Nicholson was filmed there.

We use an essential oil bug spray
You seem to hike pretty light for 3 people. Water? Minimal food? That’s 10 miles rountrip, right?
Love the channel, I subbed...
10 miles round trip. We do carry our water filtration to be a little lighter and a few snacks. Thanks for watching!
I was wondering what the measurement were for the ingredients to your pancake recipe. Just your normal batch if you don't mind. I really would like to try it.
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1 cup yogurt
2 eggs
@@CodyandKellie thank you so much.
The elevation is high, right, so that is why lightheaded?
How long did it take you from the campsite to the start of the trail and how long was the hike from the beginning of trail to sky pond? Thanks
It was about a min drive from our campground to the trail head. The hike took us about hours.
@@CodyandKellie what is the name of the campsite? I'm trying to make plans but everything I find is so far away from the trailhead :(

how long did it take you guys to do the bear lake to sky pond hike?
It took about 6 hours. We only stoped a few times but not for long.
just curious, is it safe to leave your tent and your table when you're out hiking or did you guys packed all of that up?
When we are primitive we normally leave the table and bedding in the tent. Not to worry to much in an established camp ground we would leave dishes and other stuff.
how long did you guys take to get the top?My family will have a trip there in 2 weeks.
Sky pond took 4 hours to reach the top.
the dude with the beard looks like one of those spanish explorers from the 1500's.
Your beard looks fake! Love it..
Thanks for watching!
can he slap me with his beard silly
