I'm in Florida now but I lived in Colorado for 3 years. You can NOT tell or show people what the Rockies are like without actually being there. It's as much a feeling as it is a sight.
I live in Florida and just went on a cross country drive to Boulder, then Montrose, then Las Vegas and back... its only been two months but I can't wait to go back, a feeling I did not have about Florida while I was there.
I lived in Florida from 1993 to 1995, I now live in The Rocky's. You would NEVER get me back to Florida. So I get it. Grew up in Michigan, lived in Oregon for 8 years, Texas for 5 years, never live in the south again. Flat, swampy and humid, hot 10 months out of the year.
I'm a Colorado native, as was my Father and his family. He was part of the crew who strung the original cable for the gonsola! You've done a wonderful job of showing just how beautiful it is here and how incredible the mountains and the mountain towns are. I wish you could have shown the amazing wildlife of the area I.e. elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats.. Not to mention mountain lion and bear!. I'll see you for my bi-yearly trip to Tampa!
Just be prepared for the terrible traffic. Not trying to be pessimistic but the traffic and overpopulation has gotten really bad up and down the front range
Thank you for all the travel videos. We live on a fixed income and we can't afford to go to the next town over. I love seeing all the different places. Colorado are my favorite ones.
I live in and was born and raised in Estes Park. I love the detail that you go in to about all the things and features there are to do not just in Estes Park but the whole state. You just earned a like and a subscriber.
Dec. 2023 hiked to Emerald Lake RMNP, then drove to Breckenridge ttook free gondola to ski area, drove abck to Houston. My wife very happy because has never seen such a beautiful place. Happy wife happy life.
Hi, was a tour guide from’85 to’89. Based in E Park. RMNP tours. Driving the big red bus. Best part of my life! Ran from E Park to Grand Lake. I now Live in San Diego. I’m 84 and USAF air traffic controller, retired. Was also a technical illustrator for Beechcraft & Boeing after my military retirement. Good talking to you all. Have fun.
I live in boulder and videos like this brings in to many tourists. I live on a mountain right by boulder falls and it kinda sucks because my yard is over crowded. Everyone throws there trash on the ground and i have to clean it up. Good video. I really enjoyed it. And so yeah this is Colorado. Its beautiful and now its overcrowded. And people are rude. They deface the mountains with spray paint. It makes me cry.
Another great video Randy! While watching these videos I remember why this is my favorite TH-cam channel. Your amazing aerial videos, music and detailed facts about each location makes this channel the best!
Never visited there, was never a tourist. I was a resident of Denver/Estes Park from birth all through my early years till I went to college (CU/Boulder) where I resided another 12. Wait - I did visit all three much later, as a "German" visitor - several times, with my laddy, who knows and misses the RMNP and Boulder. Glorious.
Thanks for what you are doing. I lived 5yrs in Lakewood Colorado and worked all over the great and beautiful state. I had to move back to Oklahoma due to the covid crisis. I miss Colorado so much and you take me back to places I have been and love adding thing's I didn't know about.
I used to live in Colorado and will be back after years away soon. I have told so many friends about it and send them links to videos. they are all nice of course but I recently found you and these are the PERFECT videos to help them see and hear just how great it is ! the PERFECT mix of information/narration, ground views and aerial views !!! THANK YOU and we are all already looking forward to watching more together! Plus you have inspired them to start making concrete plans to come out !!!
You did a great job capturing the outdoor beauty of the area. Grand Lake and Estes Park is a favorite Colorado Rockies escape. I hope your arm is ok as I seen that it was wrapped. Thank you for sharing your trip!
Thankyou, yea the arm is fine, it was from a bike accident in Telluride which will have it on video, will show in 2 weeks. Was mainly trying to keep the scabs from being exposed to the sun.
What a fantastic video randy thankyou so much it bought back lots of memories ive been fortunate to visit estes 3 times and grand lake once, estes parc is my favourite place in colorado i just love it so much, kevin farnsworth from England UK.
I lived up in Grand County for a couple of years and worked for Grand Co Rd and Bridge. I loved it up there and got to explore all the back roads and trails. My dog misses it as much as I do…………
In 1974 I was able to land a summer job with the National Park Service. Our work schedule was 1o days work-4 days off. My job with the NPS was to work with 4 other people on the hiking trails. We would spend 10 days on the trails, keeping them clean and safe. Also, we would pitch our tents off trail, then build fires to cook our meals. After the tenth day, our boss would pick us up, then drive us back to our living quarters called: "barracks". This was my first time being alone by myself, since I was from Arlington, Va. Anyway, I came across this clip, and I recall those days. I remember meeting my cousins from Kansas City in Boulder. Being with no car, my only transportation was hitch hiking. I thumbed from Estes Park to Boulder, and also a trip to Denver. I met some nice people in Colo. We, also, partied a lot. Drinking age was 18, and recall a place called: "The Rock Inn". Enjoyed your video, makes me want to go back.
I'm from small town Wisconsin and gonna be going up to Estes in a couple weeks! Thanks for this! The layout you use for guides is much better to base the area off than google maps.
I love your videos, your doggy and you being apolitical! Thank you for showing me Boulder, CO. I may move there one day :) I'm looking forward to the Florida Keys video later today 😊
I visited Estes Park a few weeks ago and watched this video to reminisce. This video def captures a lot of the beauty of Colorado! When I go back, will have to check out some of your suggestions!
I've lived in Colorado my whole life!! Grand Lake is my absolute favorite❤️❤️ If you're in Estes Park you need to tour the Stanley Hotel. Make sure to rent a Pontoon and enjoy the beautiful view!
Grand Lake is a very beautiful and atmospheric town. It is famous all over the world because the great American hero Marvin Heemeyer lived there. So many people have visited Grand Lake and Granby or are going there for this very reason.
Another excellent video. That area is beautiful and owns a place in my heart. Keep posting your quality content, it is not only informative, professionally mastered and narrated, but also very relaxing.
I am a 4th Generation Colorado Native. I Live in Denver but My family has owned a cabin outside Grand Lake Since 1971 and that is my most favorite place on the planet.
Love this series. You provide awesome details and random stuff that travel videos often don't do. I'm heading out to Colorado for a week during the summer and will definitely use these as a reference point
Great job… We stayed at the Grand lakes area. One of our favorite places to visit. Hope to get back there soon. So beautiful and so much to do. A must see for all.
This is my neighborhood! Now living in Cape Coral, but wow, you really could have done a video of Estes and GL alone. The trip up hwy 34 from Loveland (south of Ft. Collins) is a much nicer drive up to Estes. It would've been worth it to go that way. Boulder is a great city, (its the people who ruined it). Telluride, is stunning! Be sure to go up over Ophir, and Imogene pass for some absolutely breathtaking views. The down side of Black bear pass (from the Telluride side) has bridal Veil falls and is worth the quick trip up that way. You won't be disappointed!
@@gregz.155 Don't know what Hick and Polis is but I saw a Thai boy toy in booty shorts and a trans Marilyn Monroe with an impressive beard all within my first five minutes... be prepared
We live in South Carolina and are headed out to Denver/Grand Lake area next week. We've never been to this beautiful state, but have been up and down the east coast, eastern and western Caribbean. Thank you for a great and scenic video!! We are so excited to visit this region.
Thanks Beverly, yep was, I've been back for a couple of weeks editing. Takes about a week to edit each video and theres going to be 4 videos of Colorado. Great to hear from you. I hope your channel is doing well.
Great video with some bold drone flying! Seems like drone flying is legal in Colorado towns. We're going to Glenwood Springs soon and I'll be taking my Air 2s with me.
Great video! Love the area and have been there many times before altitude sickness sent me to lower ground. Wish you'd mentioned the Frozen Dead Guy famous in Nederland! Such a story!
Our daughter went to college in Lakewood. Been up there many times and seen a lot of things to do. Wished I would have come across your videos sooner. Apparently we missed a few things. So much to do there.
I can't believe you missed Overlook Hotel from the Shining! Good video anyway! And from 19:45 to 22:00 I do not understand how anyone can deny God. Thank you!
Really liked the video. There is no way to cover Boulder, Estes and Grand Lake in one 24 minute video, but I think you were able to capture the vibe of each place as well as it could be done.
Fabulous video! Estes Park and Grand Lake are AMAZING. Though I loved the video, what you can capture on video or photos doesn’t come close to showing the majestic beauty in this part of God’s stunning planet. You stay in a state of ahhhh, don’t you?
Hello Randy, First of all I hope you are ok with your elbow, I noticed you have a bandage ??? Was just up in Nederland last week, you have a choice at the Traffic Circle, continue to the second right, and go to Estes Park via the Peak-to-Peak highway. Or go to Boulder...why??
I'm in Florida now but I lived in Colorado for 3 years. You can NOT tell or show people what the Rockies are like without actually being there. It's as much a feeling as it is a sight.
True
So very true! I just came back from Colorado and the photos and videos do no justice to just how majestic it truly is.
I live in Florida and just went on a cross country drive to Boulder, then Montrose, then Las Vegas and back... its only been two months but I can't wait to go back, a feeling I did not have about Florida while I was there.

Thank you for sharing the beauty and wonder of Nature. It lifts my countenance!

another amazing video. Grand Lake has a special feel to it, an awe inspiring God's country type of feel. One of my favorite places in all of Colorado!
