Yes as frustrated as it's been at least you can always look back on bracelet #7 in your favorite tournament and your still up in the series 20,000 instead of down 900,000 where you were a week ago keep it going much luck 👍

I’m living in Stockholm for the summer and on my way to play cards I often see this homeless guy standing next to a 7/11. One time I decided I’ll make his day so I bought him a smoothie, milk, water, a few bags of nuts, a couple of candy bars and a pack of cigarettes. (I don’t like smoking cigarettes but the only time he’s ever asked me for something was when he asked me if I had a cigarette so I thought why not give him what he wants even though I don’t really like it. His reaction was ”no way man no way”, made me feel great.
Nice of you😊! I try to do the same, when I can afford it. I found that a small conversation or a long one, also is very meaningful for both ends. It’s the small things we all can do, that changes the community we live in❤

Daniel, thank you very much for this great vlog. I really appreciate your honesty and transparency about your feelings when you are in the same situation as many of us recreational players are so many times. Your desperate efforts to win hands, running into better hands all tourney long, and all these things. Was under the impression that you professional guys are much better in dealing with things like that, staying cool and contained and I like to see that you guys go as nuts as I do when busting or permanently having second best hand. Thanks for showing the human side that openly.

Your discussion on ICM and essentially anything is more equity than potentially nothing and the amount you risk in the short term that could hinder your long term longevity. There was a prime example of that with a well respected poker pro on day 1 stream. Individual was UTG+1 and raised to 2,500 with AKo.. SB (55) and BB(QQ) both called UTG then 4 bet to 13k with AKo. UTG+1 folded their AKo with SB and BB as well. UTG took the pot with AKo took the pot for like 9k. I'm sure there are plenty of people that would have went in but it was a pre-flop decision to not even get involved for the long term vision and the potential short terms gains/risk.

I know you guys take great care of the dogs and someone probably told you this, but just in case: You can vary with their food and go for a bit more salt in it to make them drink a bit more if you think they will drink more with some incentive. Just an option to talk about with the vet if you havent already. For instance; we give the urinary versions of the big brands sometimes. Most have low calcium and a bit more salt. One of our dogs gets that food periodically to make her drink more, especially in the summer when al she does is vegetate in the sun. If not needed, its not recommended to give all the time. I don't carry cash, but I've offered homeless people food before. I was on the old Vegas strip super late and someone asked for money. I told him I'll buy you some McDonald's down the road here. He was very happy.
I went through a Burger King drive-thru once, I had a coupon for buy one get one free tender crisp chicken sandwich. Saw a guy going through the trash looking for food as I was pulling out of the parking lot and I just handed over the free sandwich to the guy. I can't imagine being hungry and desperate enough to have to eat from the garbage. :( Awful place to be.

I'm the same as you Daniel, whenever I see someone in need I give them pretty much whatever I have in my wallet, which is never alot lol. But it feels really good and you're helping someone else who's not as lucky.

Not Wanting to chew you out Daniel but I think your raisewith the j8 straight is as much of a punt or bigger than the guy loseing first hand with his 10s full that you had a shot at yesterday. Just saying. But good luck in the main anyway.🤑
It's absolutely not at all comparable.
1. TT was the 4th nuts on that hand. This was the 2nd nuts.
2. Much much deeper stacks in that first hand. This was at a later level and his opponent had less than 1/2 starting chips.
3. Daniel wasn't risking his tournament to try and get value.
Now I do think an argument could be made that Daniel could fold pre or on flop and just not risk this situation coming up. Personally I usually do not chase gutshots in spots where it's very possible that someone could make a higher straight like here. But on the river there's just a lot of value to be had by raising, and you're burning money long term if you're not raising there.
Oh, and I forgot one.
4. Daniel has a blocker to his opponent having the nuts. The TT had no blockers to hands that beat him, but actually did heavily block one of the hands that could possibly call and lose in T8.
I agree but I would have folded the two flush draws and higher straight… so for me…on the turn am gone a mi yaad!

When you get into a tight place, and everything goes against you till it seems as if you couldn't hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that 's just the place and time that the tide will turn. You have to stay cool, there will be moments when it doesn't go your way, play with more patience and play your best holdings in the best spots, things will turn around 🍀🍀👊🏼

My second favourite poker player, the other Dan, Harrington series of books 15 years ago or so did more for my turnament play that anything else i have ever read specifically it introduced me to M theory and changed how i fundamentally think abkut my chip stack
Man, the day ones are brutal. No one plays theory poker and you see 4-5 way action for the flop, it's the worst
