- Welcome to a third instalment of this play & explain series with some 500NL action for you all. This session was a lot of fun to record as we found ourselves in endless bluffcatching spots. If you're dedicated enough to stick around to the end, I review some of the more interesting hand histories using the solver. Enjoy!

One of the best P&Es I’ve seen in a long time, high level and super clear. Thanks!
Thank you mate! ♥️
Obviously next RIO coach, nice intro videos.
RIO if you're watching, sign me up please and thanks 🤣
Amazing mate love these long vids! Thank you! 🔥🔥🙏🙏
3rd video I’m watching so far of yours today, I would definitely stick with the play and explain versions. They are the easiest to watch and it’s the most pure form of learning, given we are learning how you process the game in real time as a Human would. Much more gets learned this way as opposed to when a coach breaks down a few older played hands. Just my 2 cents. Great work and ty 🫡
I really appreciate the value in your videos .TY bro !!!
Great content! Thank you!
Top uploader. Top fan boy 🕺
Keep it up Si. Loving it
your`re a Machine!
Great video, cheers geeza
Nice video 👍
Hi Simon. I'd probably get in trouble if I mentioned this in the Elite Discord, but I just have to tell you. I think you are very much the star of the show in that Discord channel. Your content is better than any of the other coaches by a country mile. Thanks for bringing it to us.
Elite Discord - please elaborate :)
Great video ! I think the Q6dd is not showing up in the flush draw filter since it is a combo draw and will fall under that
Firstly, pretty nicely laid out thought process + clarity in approach and so well put together for new players to draw value from it and be future official students :)
Thank you for the quality content.
I am going to go ahead and keep this particular topic FOR LATER :p (only because I am so new to the cash games scene, and I'd rather prioritize the value part a lot more for NOW).
May I please request River value betting (for max value) play & explain? :)
Yes mate, I can definitely do this ♥️
pushing out content 👀😊
Another great P&E - maybe do a video about 4bet pots.
Last video I think, you had a hand vs a (percieved) MDA player and you mentioned something I have been thinking about, isn't it easy (since access to MDA data/strategies seem to be quite available) to exploit players who predominantly play MDA?
If you can figure out what they're upto then yes, absolutely.
The downside to play exploitative poker is it leaves you very exploitable yourself and you always have to be one step ahead of your opponent. If you're not, you're in big trouble.
Hey man great vid! What's your reasoning for going 11bb from the BB vs the 13bb 3b size instead?
Cheers
I prefer being a little bit more linear so that I can cbet more flops. Bigger and more polar pre means bigger and more polar post.
Loving these videos man, Keep it up.
~43 min w22 otr -- If our boats are always jamming river and then we use a smaller sizing for hands like AK/AJ, are we often folding to a c jam with those? This is what always complicates things for me on river when using multiple bet sizes, where the smaller size is strong, but not nutted. I feel like if opponent is aware boats jam pure and then a bunch of other stuff goes into smaller size, he can turn a bunch of stuff into bluff against the smaller size?
He can do this but then you can definitely just click call anyway 😂
Think if we're overly concerned then just ensure you mix hands like 22 on your RNG for the smaller size as well.
Great vid just subbed just a heads up alot of peeps watch from there phone could you zoom in on table as the action appears so we can see
Really like the review at the end. What software do you use for the RNG?
Jurojin 🙌🏻
Do you think the Q6dd diamond villain line would make sense with KQ/KJ. As the line is so incoherent seems like it could perform quite well especially as those hands aren’t worth 3 streets?
Think those hands just want to barrel the turn to be honest. AK on the other hand would make sense checking turn (KQ/KJ can improve to straights, AK can't and they're basically the same hand).
The river size depends how he perceives me and how often I'm going to x/r. It would be a torch to do this sizing if I play well as I'll just x/r him to the moon with boats on the river (which I'd like to think I would do).
In the 22 hand it was COvBB and you´ve put BTNvBB into the solver, suprisingly if we were to remove BB donking range otr, we have no jams otr and 22 are much closer to check back than to jam. Otherwise I really like your videos, keep them coming :)
Clearly I'd melted my brain by this point 😂
Just looked at this in the solver and that's pretty mental! The power of position, eh.
Great content. Defending T8s vs a 4bet seemed like a play I wouldn't make. Most GTOwiz ranges also don't defend T8 at all, even fold some suited broadways like QJ, JT vs a 4b. Also, what do you think is a decent fold to 4b stat? Like 45-50?
Yeah, I'd aim for about 40-45 if you're playing in lower rake environments.
@@pkrelmo thanks for the insight :D
Hi Simon - you talk about 100/200 players overfolding to 4bs and therefore being exploitable. How do you think players should balance this against the pool, the majority of which will under 4b themselves?
It depends on where you get 4b from. People are going to under 4b EP v BB but they aren't necessarily CO v BTN. So I'd overfold to the former but call "optimally" vs the latter.
Min 25. How have you made that call?!?! Too good 🎉😅😊. Wp Simon
Thank you mate!
Absolutely not agree with solver this ato , have same points as you there :D
Solid content
What if the b30 IP are the friends we made along the way 😂
I think Q6dd would have been classed as a combo draw in GTOwizard and that's why it wasn't showing up.
😂😂 can’t believe I missed that
Those river calls are disgusting 😩 👏
lfg
1:04:16 because its a combo draw
could you share your results from this year and the number of poker hands you've played?
Head over to my instagram mate, I’ve posted my results on there 🙌🏻
I'd like to think I have flushes there
😂😂😂
