Makes you feel old doesn't it? I started following when I saw something on ESPN or maybe a magazine when he became the youngest to win a wsop bracelet. I think it was 99 or around that time. It's cool that he's still on top after all these years and we still see most of the same big names every year. But when they talk about 25+ years ago, it just seems impossible. I was already in college at that time. Lol
I dont think the man from twitter was annoyed with Daniel's emotions showing, but I can understand how "complaining for 3 hours" could get really annoying no matter who it is.
Can't believe I've been watching Daniel Negreanu for 23 years (2001), and he's essentially the same guy: solid play, read, commentary, analysis, emotional IQ, authenticity, openness, and an unquenchable desire to improve in all areas of his life; and he has. And best of all, he takes us along on his journey. Thanks!

Daniel’s got the new, big, beautiful house with all sorts of fancy bells and whistles, and I swear he’s most proud of the coffee maker.
It’s always the smaller things that create that dopamine effect.
Plus a coffee maker works mostly 💯 of the time. No day 2’s.

Daniel is living the life I have set for a goal for myself. I'm getting their slowly but surely. Thanks for being an inspiration not just in poker but as a person, in relationships, and for life in general.
How the WSOP tournament works. If this may insult your intelligence or you are the "I already know and it's an insult to think i don't" type then just stop reading. Lol A lot of people don't know but would like to or don't know how to find out, this is for you with no spoilers. There's not much out there explaining the tournament structure.
The tournament has 99 total events not counting the online events. It runs from May 28th to July 21st. The Main Event is #81.
The Main Event is the longest running event where each player will play 11 days total. It runs from this past Wednesday, July 3rd - Wed. July 17th. Almost all other events are 3 or 4 days. There are a few 1, 2, and 5 day events.
There are 4 flights in the Main Event, A, B, C, and D. Daniel is in C flight. C was off yesterday (Saturday) but plays today on Sunday then off on Monday. All flights begin playing daily on Tuesday the 9th. C flight had 2039 registrants. Daniel is coming into today with $37,900 ranked at 1535 out of the 2039 in C flight. So far the Main Event is up to 9,353 entrants with 6,966 players remaining. Tomorrow is the last day for late registration so we will then know if it broke previous year's records.
Most events are much cheaper to enter in the $600-$1500 range. There are still quite a few high roller events $10K up to $250K. The Main Event is a $10K entry. Most of the high roller events 10k and up won't have more than 500 entries, a lot with only 100 or less. That's why the Main Event has such a huge pot and is such a massive deal.
Payout structure is based on number of entrants. Payout for the Main Event will be announced after the end of registration tomorrow. Right now there is more than 93 million in the pot!!
Hope this helps someone to better understand how it all works. I have a PokerGo membership during the tournament so I can watch it live daily. I only pay for 2 months, but highly recommend during the tournament.

Good luck today. I'm in a similar spot and bagged for just under 40k yesterday. It's not easy when you go card dead for an entire level, miss on nearly all of your suited connectors after calling pre-flop raises, and get caught bluffing into the nuts, but it's a marathon. Grind, accumulate, avoid the at-risk situations.

Becker has 1.8 million in recorded cashes with his biggest score being 76k Landon has 1.5 with his biggest being 550k which he just got in April.

Funny this was my daily life in Vegas (Summerlin) everyday until Black Friday hit! Amazing the similarities too (except I did not have anywhere near the multi millions you do haha). I even had the pretty blonde woman with me too, who also had Bipolar disorder sadly... We would even go to that Whole Foods off Charleston that you'd often go to... In hindsight now, it was the happiest time of my life. The dream, great neighborhood beautiful house including a pool/spa with a full view of the Vegas strip in one direction, the mountains in other direction. I sure took it for granted! "LIFE MOVES PRETTY FAST. IF YOU DONT STOP AND LOOK AROUND ONCE IN A WHILE YOU COULD MISS IT!".. Really Happy for you Daniel, you really seem to be happy and thankful for your current life. You worked very hard daily for years, you earned it. Your Mom is smiling down and is very proud of you! Enjoy ;)

Daniel... do you have any videos on Bluffing? When to bluff and when to not? I feel like that's a hole in my game.
The biggest factor to take into consideration first and foremost is who the other players are at your table. I'll tell you right now, in many $1/2 live cash games, you want to be severely underbluffing as many players you face will not be strong enough to fold hands like top pair with a strong-medium kicker, even if the turn and river runout is terrible for them and favors your range, they are not thinking about ranges, they are only thinking that they have top pair. There's almost no need to bluff at all at low stakes, the only "bluffs" I'd run at these tables are strong draws like 4 to the nut or second nut flush draw on the flop or open ended straight draw on a rainbow flop just to fold out the players who didn't connect and either take down the pot then and there or isolate and get headsup going to a turn. Also note that most players at these levels are almost NEVER bluffing river, if your faced with a large river bet then you should be letting go of hands like top pair top kicker and even weak 2 pairs depending on the board, you'll save much more money than you'll ever lose from folding in these spots. Don't worry about your straight forward play being exploited, and if you ever feel like there are players who are catching on then you can always switch gears a bit. But my best advice is to just play a TAG strategy and make sure you're getting as much money into the pot as you can with your nutted/very strong hands.

I’ve had BPH and a Prostate infection, they suck but there are treatments.
