Idk what kind of “traditional ice cream scoop” you’re using, but that thumb press scoop would be way faster for me because the ice cream NEVER want to leave the scoop
Traditional scoop is metal for the reason that warm water makes it cut through the ice cream easily and the warm scoop doesn't let the ice cream stick to itself nearly as much. There's a reason every ice cream shop uses them.
He owns of the best ice cream scoop on the market with a fluid inside the conductive metal which distributes the heat of your hand to the part holding the ice cream in seconds and making it fall off. Not even joking
Only problem with the fluid-filled scoop is that the remaining ice cream can freeze harder where it melted. Not too much of a problem if you go through ice cream quickly but very noticeable if you tend to spread out a carton more

@Isaac SMM get off the internet and learn you can understand a joke whilst critisizing someone making a video on something they dont understand you mug
I worked at Baskin-Robbins for 5 years and can tell that most people don't know how to design or use an ice cream scoop correctly in the first place. The traditional metal scoop with no buttons or anything on it is best. Just run under cold water and skim the top of the icecream over and over keeping the wrist straight until a ball forms. Then it just slides right out because of the water. Don't mess with the basic design.
Some of the metal pieces like the first one could work better if you run the metal piece under hot/warm water for a few seconds then use it on the ice cream. It would help a lot as it will somewhat melt the ice cream that the metal is immediately touching, making it easier to plunge into the ice cream. Also works for regular spoons
“I may try 1 or 2 times to get it right” “Or 6 or 7 or 8, it matters how hungry I am” Me: or 9 or 10 or 11 or 100, matters how much I can fit in my mouth.

Grocery stores aren't open where you are? Or is it another reason. (I added this part just because I myself can't go to the store by myself yet because I can't drive and don't have a job lol)

Harvard University: “ You want a scholarship?”
No the problem is him not understanding the first one is supposed to take a core sample from both cookies and ice cream to make an ice cream sandwich, the plunger then lets it out
@Isaac SMM get off the internet and learn you can understand a joke whilst critisizing someone making a video on something they dont understand you mug
I missed Dan. Please, bring him back more often, I'm almost 100% sure there are enough gadgets out there in the world to do that.
I love this guy, now everyday before going to sleep i watch one of these improved designs videos and enjoy myself my daily dan formosa comedy
"but we could figure out something to do with that"
*Like eat it*
mood
Plot twist: he was left handed the whole time
This is gonna get randomly recommended to alot of people
Persephone avatar!!
Wendy Simien I love your profile picture 🥰
@@lovecatherinex2636 Aww thanks!
Have you read the Lore Olympus webtoon??
Some of the metal pieces like the first one could work better if you run the metal piece under hot/warm water for a few seconds then use it on the ice cream. It would help a lot as it will somewhat melt the ice cream that the metal is immediately touching, making it easier to plunge into the ice cream. Also works for regular spoons
Who else is just binging these?
He’s back! I’m so glad this is my second favorite series on epicurious he thinks of the needs of all. ❤️
He seems like the type of guy who would be friends with Bill Nye
Yvonne Lozano yoooo we need a crossover
"Design expert eats ice-cream for 20 minutes."
Haha

11:53 “We couldn’t afford a larger cookie”.
Shots fired 🔥 🔥 🔥
I love this guy. His charm really shines in these videos of reviews. Not to mention very informative of the items in question
I love seeing smart people get goofy
my favourite part is the amount of ice cream being consumed. I've never seen him so excited to eat the food for the gadgets before XD
13:26 "it is what it is"
Me: *"It iz what is izz"*
SillyFreak101 IT IZ WUT IT IZ
I've never watched this series before and within about five seconds I knew I was gonna like this guy. 10/10.

“I may try 1 or 2 times to get it right”
“Or 6 or 7 or 8, it matters how hungry I am”
Me: or 9 or 10 or 11 or 100, matters how much I can fit in my mouth.
Your comment has acc made my day 😂😂🙌
Salizzz • oh. I dunno what to say now.

Salizzz • ;-; ok
@@Siamiso WOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU DA BEST
Few things in this world are more encouraging than his pure unadulterated love for kitchen gizmos.
I like these so much better than the usual reviews because he offers suggestions for improvement. I find I am surprised sometimes with where he takes the design to fix certain issues.
12:38 Wrong colour for the timings
ye nice observatory skilly dude
Same at 5:38
I noticed too lol
Eh, we missed it. Get over it.

I lowkey eat from the tub cos i hate having to wash up bowls and shiz. Thank you for joining my Ted Talk.
yo Alex Same
I think it's safe to say that he reaaallly loves ice cream #relate 😂
Me: realizing I want ice cream
Also me: heartbroken cause I can’t even go to the store
Theres this magical thing called homemade icecream:D
Euchris Belver not if you have no ingredients
Grocery stores aren't open where you are?
Or is it another reason. (I added this part just because I myself can't go to the store by myself yet because I can't drive and don't have a job lol)
Asuma Woods same situation. Usually we get it delivered to our house and the ice cream melts before it even reaches out front door.
Dan at this point is a national treasure. Stay safe, Dan!
On the "core sample" item, I would remove the top button and instead put a "squeeze lever" on the side to release the ice cream, sort of like one from a handheld pepper mill.
This guy seriously has such a likable personality? idk but this guy is very cool 🥺👊
I love this guy. More of him please.
I love this chap due to his humour and professional insight. I would be very happy to test the wine gadgets (different video) with him.
