      Why isn’t anyone thinking about the new Druid weapon. You drop the legendary, smash your weapon and then kun (mana) and then another big thing. That is 3 cards (and the weapon) for a really scary board and it is not that hard to pull off.

      Anton Almgren Or just play New Druid legendary -> Faceless -> Twig reset mana -> Malygos (you have 2 extra copies) -> 2x moon fires for 32 dmg OTK.

    I asked this in the comment section of several card reviews: Are we sure that silence removes the "reequip part" from valanyr? since it doesnt say "give a minion deathrattle: reequip this"

      That means that it would be immune to silence, but shuffles and transforms still shit on it.
      The other thing is that, the only "after death mechanic" we have in HS is deathrattle, so maybe blizz thinks that it's self explanatory.

      we do have "when a friendly minion dies"-effects so it wouldn't be too outwordly to think valanyr can ignore silences.

      Even if it doesn't give the minion 'death rattle:...' silence would still remove the buff as it would remove any buff. Any buffs are listed on the blue scroll under the card and silence removes these.

    What happens if you play Bladed Gauntlet and Mayor Noggenfogger? Can you set up an OTK with 30 armor and those two cards?

      John Red I don’t believe so, as noggefogger’s random targets are only things that could be targeted before. For example, minions won’t randomly attack their allies

      Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work. Stranger things have happened in this game but the mayor is pretty strict about things at least finding legal targets.

    Kingsbane could be used in a mill rogue deck to give one extra card in your deck each time you use it so that you take less fatigue damage in the end. Just a thought.

      Because it was too oppressive as removal, the nerf wasn't just for pirate warrior. The card had been an issue literally forever.

      Cyan Light its not an issue it was used because there wasn't anything other than that to use. It was staple for control decks cause you couldn't compare the other warrior early cards with other early game class cards.

      It's true you can't necessarily compare cards from different classes but even so playing Fiery War Axe on turn two was statistically much more powerful than playing Frostbolt on turn two, as years of data demonstrated. It was so efficient that simply getting it in the mulligan was a viable wincon in certain matchups, assuming the rest of your deck was in a vaguely reasonable order.
      I'm not a huge fan of the way the nerf was handled and disagree with the dev team's apparent idea that players simply can't handle complexity of any form from the basic cards, they definitely could have tagged some sort of effect onto it without melting minds and it's especially obnoxious since King's Defender already existed so the weapon is just strictly worse in formats where both exist. It's still obvious that a nerf of some kind was a good idea and fixing the core problem of it consistently being one of the best turn two plays in the game was a good place to start.

    Kingsbane can get you out of fatigue if you just play it and kill it with your hero power every turn, so that's pretty neat.

    I think Kingsbane could be okay with Fatigue Rogue. I mean, you are going to draw a bunch of cards anyways when you play that deck. The rogue class has that card that gives weapons lifesteal, as well as some attack buffs. Maybe a rogue could just dump all the other non-fatigue cards in place of Kingsbane and weapon buffs? And stab all their problems away? I'm saying that like it's a question because I'm unsure myself.

      The Kingsbane is the answer to rogue's lifesteal problem, however if you're depending on 1 card that needs to be drawn early then you probably lose, especially if you had to replace your tempo cards with weapon buffs.

      theStonerKid69 No, it's bad. You have weapon for 3 that stops *all* fatigue damage for a turn, it's balls, you can play as many murlocs as you have mana for after this without any risk. And you want to replace this one card(And it's duplicate) with probably 8+ cards that you need to play in order to not even stop fatigue, but to heal for few hp.

      +Hit if my knowledge of event order is accurate (which it probably isn’t) I _think_ that Tirion’s normal deathrattle would go off and then the Val’anyr deathrattle, overwriting the Ashbringed. That is assuming it works like deathrattles added after a minion is played, where the first deathrattle put into play goes off first. Since the deathrattle is added in the hand though, I don’t know if it works the same.

      No. If you got to choose it would say "choose an animal companion..." or "discover an animal...", so it probably won't let you.

      I think this expansion just have tons of ambiguous texts: to my side does not say, random but probably will be random, deck of wonders text is: shuffle scrolls in your deck, when drawn cast a random spell and does not have (target chosen randomly) like yogg and grand archivist. Some spellstones doesn't specify if you must upgrade them in a single turn or you can for example overload 3 mana in 2 turns for the shaman card or play 2 spell in one turn and 2 in another in the priest one. I mean... i guess we'll know when the expansion is out.

    Twilight's Call isn't a clunky, powerful card, it's a very straightforward, moderate power card that will occasionally do something bonkers.
    It's the same principle as something like Duplicate. Most of the time it just provides a nice, solid value. Sometimes it does something completely bonkers. It's almost never bad. Twilight's call can't provide fat bodies, and it only works in decks that have a fair amount of deathrattle cards, but Priest works well with deathrattle, so it's still playable in a lot of potential decks.

    I think a lot of people are missing a big upside about Dragonhatcher's Stats.
    Since it only has 2 attack it's really easy to pull out with Meat Wagon.

    kingsbane is a weapon you put lifesteal on and play buff pirates with. you can stay alive because of rogue board control and lifesteal. it can excel in fatigue because you can play this every turn and break it with hero power to never take fatigue damage, and hit opponent with lifesteal each turn! very exciting! play roll the bones with full deathrattle deck with this weapon + some buffs to help going to fatigue fast. also king togwaggle w/ mill has some potential in fatigue to just win the game instantly

    The Rogue legendary makes me really upset. That's not Kingsbane. Kingsbane is the toxin inside The Kingslayers, which are the two daggers Garona used to kill King Wrynn.

    This rogue legendary weapon Kings Bane is severely underestimated here I feel. You can infinitely resist fatigue with that card, by equipping, attacking and then hero powering to send it back into your deck. ALSO, I believe this weapon will apply poison and life steal effects in conjunction with blade flurry, since it holds onto enchantments when the weapon dies. That means full board clears, insane healing and no fatigue. That's pretty good.

      no, because blade flurry deals the dmg, not the weapon.
      Same thing with Shadowflame, if u shadowflame a poisonous or lifesteal, they wont trigger.
      They work the same way, upon cast, they check the attack of the weapon(minion) and deal that value as spell dmg, not weapon/minion dmg

      Benjamin Dougall it's a legendary weapon meaning you have a 1/30. if you do not draw this card in the early game and or mid game it will be garbage due to you wasting buffs on other weapons and even if you draw the weapon if you cannot draw the buffs it's trash. Also if the win condition is fatigue then jade druid, highlander priest, and quest mage win.

    Val'anyr is crazy with doppelganster/sauronite in your hand.
    The 2 mana warrior weapon seems really good for control warrior. You can get atleast 2 armor at the start of your next turn, which is not enough to be valuable, but if you get extra armor from a card in your hand, you'll quickly reach 5 attack which is already great for 2 mana.

    With the rogue Death Knight, you can cast Kingsbane on the second draw after it's been buffed a lot, then cast it again using the extra card. That will shuffle it into your deck. Then you simply use it up and another one will shuffle in. Rinse and repeat

    Are we sure the effect from the paladin legendary weapon can be silenced? I am not sure with the way it's worded that the "when it dies, reequip this" is applied to the minion or is just in the hearthstone ether.

    For kingsbane, mike donnais commented on its synerygy with doomarang, it will return the weapon with all its enchantes to your hand. So it synergises really well

    Dragonhatcher: It's a nerf to Evolve, and a buff to Malygos (basically he gains +2/+4). I think this card is meant to be used in combo decks

    Whats so difficult to understand about Elven Minstrel? Its a 2 mana minion with 2 mana draw 2 cards attached to it. It has more value packed in one card and its cheaper than those effects separately. Downside is you need to play another card before it, but tempo decks generally run a lot of cheap cards anyway. Tempo rogue will love this. It has insane shadowstep value.

    For the first card you showed I was thinking it would fit well in a Miracle Rogue because it allows you to siphon the auctioneers rather than just hope to draw into them.

    If I'm looking at the right deck list then, currently Big Priest only runs a single spell that couldn't have been cast before turn 7. It also only contains 1 minion that could be played before Turn 7. So you're probably looking at 4-6 spells cast before turn 7 in order to be in a survivable position anyway.
    2 Obsidian Statues and a Litch King for 7 seems pretty valuesome to me.

    Dragoncaller Alanna works with spells that are already going to be in most mage decks: Flamestrike, Meteor, Firelands Portal, Cabalist Tome...

    I disagree about Val'anyr, mainly because this card basically removes weapon removal from the opponents deck. Considering EVERYONE believes weapon removal cards will be a strong component of the next meta, I think this card will basically (in essence) remove a card from being played by the opponent (or at least until Val'anyr is destroyed) since they wouldn't want to give a minion in your hand the value of +4/+2. Additionally, with the hand-buff minions (Chaingang, probably the more popular pick) and divine shield minions, it's HUGE value to land this buff on those cards. If you don't then you still get a +4/+2 on a minion.
    Although the original cost is 6 mana, all other times it's basically a 0 mana weapon which continuously buffs minions. And since Paladin has a few healing mechanics in its deck, it seems like it's a very good fit for the late game. Even if Silence is a thing which will be prodominent in the next expansion, that removes the silence from being used on a card buffed by Spiked Ridged Steed. Overall, I think this card will be fairly common in the next expansion.

      actually it does not disables antiweapon meta: paladin usually run more than just one weapon, you wouldn't want to break val'anyr, but you want to break all the other weapons they have, and those from all the other classes as well; only one you won't want to break is druid's and still, it will eventually break

      how does this counter weapon removal? you equip it, attack, and it has one durability, if its not removed you just do 4 extra damage next turn and trigger the deathrattle yourself.

      The best comparison is justicar trueheart which did see play but one paladin isn't doing so well right now and 2 it is great value but is it better value than infinite jades?

    I mean kingsbane is decent at the start of a game for a rogue, it is a one mana 1/3 instead of your hero power. Sure it takes a card but it comes back into your deck again. I can see how if it does not get any buffs it would be a terrible top deck in arena.
    If you thistle tea or mimic pod it does it keep all of the buffs or are they each their own specific card? That would be a way to make it powerful.

    Possessed lackey looks ok in a wild warlock deathrattle deck but I want to try it in a discard deck because most of the minions are broken if you manage to skip their discard effect or flame imps five damage to face

    I think you highly underestimate Kingsbane. Deadly poison saw play in many rogue decks for years and it definitely isn't a bad card. On top of this, you can use Kingsbane with your hero power or Deathknight Valeera to make sure you never enter fatigue. You could enchant it with lifesteal as well and you have a solid endgame plan that is tough to deal with. It addresses one thing that control rogue was sorely lacking: how to beat other control / fatigue decks that can outlast you very easily (such as any control warrior or priest).

    Dragoncaller Alanna’s card text needs to be clearer. At first glance, I thought it was a permanent effect for the rest of the game that’s activated after you play the card. So every time you cast a 5 cost or up spell, it also summons a 5/5 dragon along with the spell.

    Bladed gauntlet is good against early game. After you play it, bladed gauntlet will always deal at least 2 damage (if you're willing to spend the mana to armor up). If you're going to remove a minion with your weapon, you're going to lose your armor anyway. So look at it from the perspective of "how much damage should this do to get value out of a 2 mana weapon."
    Bladed gauntlet is also a high risk/reward card for dealing with the endgame dragons, beefy druid taunts, and lots of priest stuff (funnelcaeks, obsidian, etc). The risk is that sometimes you'll need 3+ damage and just won't have the armor. The reward is that sometimes you'll have 12 armor and can slam down a Malygos for 2 mana.
    I like it. Still probably won't ever play warrior though.

      Yes, it tottaly negates those 4+ draws you force upon yourself in single turn from murlocs. If there was just a weapon that would stop all that damage for 3 mana...

      Milling is almost impossible to do these days but thank you for pointing that out, i wouldn't have thought of that. I miss milling people and then they friend me to bitch me out before unfriending me right after. Good times.

    Kings bane seems pretty op. I just know how easy it is to build a rogue deck that goes through itself super fast, then you can hero power whenever you want to control the destruction of your weapon.

      nothing really except recruit for some cards has specefic costs/tribes but since theyre giving alot of cards that effect now they give it a keyword.

    the rogue weapon can be very great with the rogue DK. you can equip twice the weapon per turn and you will never fatigue. Mill weapon rogue can be a nice deck-

    You're not considering the fact that kingsbane makes rogue completely inmune to fatigue, they just have to play the weapon, attack, then use the hero power and they have a card in their deck

    Why kripp comparing Doomsayer with new mage AoE? Doomsayer+nova works so different and prevent your opponent from playing minions on turn after.

      He wasn't saying they're the same. He was saying some mages might opt for the new AoE if they don't feel they need the doomsayer/nova combo. At its most basic level, it opens up a card slot, which can be a world of difference.

    Don't forget about the Mayor, Kripp.
    That gauntlet may yet deal a TON of damage to a hero's face because of him.
    Turn before the Noggenfogger: That weapon + any huge amounts of armor gain that you have
    Then the next turn, you play the Mayor, roll the dice, and maybe end up smacking the opponent in the face for like... 20- 45 damage. :3
    Alternatively, if we're going for single-turn stuff
    Barnes out the Mayor, play two "Bring it on" cards, then play the weapon and roll the dice for a face hit. :3
    It's silly, but it's definitely going to happen and end up in either one of your videos, or one of those "Lol so random! xD" Hearthstone clip shows. :3

    Bladed Gauntlet should've either had invulnerability on attacking OR the Fools Bane effect where you can swing multiple times at minions.

      polishhockeyfan Too op; Not taking damage is op as you need to have armour to attk, not taking damage means u save both hp and armour. A fool's bane effect is useless too as u need armour to attack, attacking once usually means you run out of armour, furthermore, this weapon only has 2 charges so I doubt it would be that good

    Are you kidding on kings blade, it's a direct upgrade to the rouge hero power, plus it also prevents fatigue damage. Equip, attack, hp to break it, redraw next turn. Add envenom and have permalink on attack. It's super strong and even becomes a combo enabler and is resistant to weapon destruction.

      not necessarily... on one hand you can say that about any 1 cost card...if its the last card it will suck.... On the other, if your last card is potentially a 5/3 with lifesteal and venomous..... I think you might have won... I wonder if minion cards that increase dmg will remain if the card is destroyed with the buff applied.. like vengeful blacksmith.. or w/e that enrage card is.

    Hey Kripp, you didn't even mention that kingsblade protects you from natural fatigue and with the death knight you literally can't fatigue after a couple turns.

    So, Bladed Gauntlet has potential. If the Armor Warrior deck is good, then they'll have a lot of armor, and if people don't generally play really big minions, then this can usually net 2 kills pretty easily. This weapon is a lot like Gorehowl, if you think about it. Theoretically, its attack reduces after you kill something, and it's always gonna kill at least 2 things. You pay a lot less Mana for a lot less value over time, but think about having the armor to kill a 10 drop, killing it, then also playing an 8 drop. That's pretty good.

      Yeah, it's like two shield slams. Shield slam is overpowered, so getting two overpowered cards for the price of one is probably also overpowered. Taking damage doesn't really matter in an armor deck, I think his analysis was weirdly way off. Your normally play an armor gain card before a shield slam anyway and warrior is getting even more tools to do that kind of thing, why would this be any different?

      Dead mans hand warrior is a bad deck and I doubt any of these cards will in any way make it better.
      And no, they don't have absurd amounts of armor. Not when priests are hitting your face for 10 a turn and Druids are spawning 9/9s.

      Plus in a game vs aggro in which you have little armor, using weapons to kill minions is not as good because it reduces your life total, so you dont need to use it, so it doesnt matter that is has littlr attack

      To actually answer the question, yes Dead Man's Hand is still a thing. It's getting a new AoE too. Obviously that won't see play because as we all know new cards never see any play (which is why all of the decks currently in the meta have always been the only decks in the game) and something something dead on turn five every game but if you hypothetically wanted to buy new cards and figure out how they might do things instead of queuing up Keleseth Rogue for the 1,000th time then that would be a good place to start.

    The rogue legendary makes it difficult to fatigue rogue doesn’t it? Play Kingsbane, attack, hero power and Kingsbane goes back in your deck.

    Kingsbane the legendary rogue weapon + doomerang? deathrattle puts it back into the deck but doomerang puts it into your hand as well so does it creates a duplicate? If so it would be some juicy value

      Kripp's reviews for cards in most cases are dogshit since he tries not to ever say anything close to "I think this card might be good" but will always be "well, i'm skeptical on it regardless." I personally think Kingsbane is going to be a staple in any rogue deck since they're added a lot of synergy to weapons in the last expansion. Even if I'm wrong, it will still be a great card for rogue in arena.

    Rogue can now prevent themself from dying to fatigue with Kingsbane, imagine you buffed it like crazy, draw your entire deck really fast, now kill everything your opponent play at you, then you only have kingsbane remaining in your deck that you will draw, equip, swing with then hero power, rince and repeat, what about that?

    The problem is that in the next trolden video after the expansion, someone will fuck around and throw a malygos or other high power dragon into their evolve shaman deck, roll a 8 into a dragon Hatcher and have it summon their token dragon winning the game.

    Ixlid seems nice in Jade druid. I mean; you can get two Fandrals in play that needs to be instantly dealt with or 2-for-1 Arcane giants. Everything else is just a nice bonus albeit it collides with spreading plague.

      That's assuming that they have stuff on the board that you cannot kill outright with the weapon, which is far from guaranteed.

      It's actually infinite value EVEN IF your opponent has weapon removal thanks to the weapon's deathrattle. Only way to stop the value is to silence a minion with the buff.

    The rougue legendary weapon will be good . That's what I think at least . Even if you have it in late game you can use the rouge hero to play the weapon twice so you can fill the deck with the weapon
    Edit: you can design a fatigue style deck and you can go with the new rogue spell that's destroyng random minions and do some deathrttle shit with n'zoth aswell . I really see potential

      I really want to know how the two interact. One want to shuffle it into the deck and the other wants to put it into your hand. Pretty sure they wouldn't make a copy since it seems like a Sherazin-style effect so it's a question of which one wins, I think the spell resolves fully first so it would go into your hand and then get shuffled from there into the deck which means it's not as good as it sounds but if it works the other way it's potentially insane.

      Doomerang returns the weapon to your hand. That means it doesn't "die". That means the Deathrattle doesn't trigger. So no, you don't keep the buffs.

    I just got a sudden realization watching this video. If Valanyr hits Dopplegangster and all of them die in the same turn you will get the deathrattle effect to trigger 2 times (each hitting 1 or several minions) plus a fresh weapon (which will eventually trigger the deathratlle a third time by itself)
    In this scenario the card is not weak against single target silence (It is sitll weak against mass dispell , devolve and the new Priest AoE if none of the copies die)
    Since Psychic scream is probably going to be all around the meta this probably won't work at least till Raza leaves the rotation.(This would also work on Saronite Chain Gang.)

    Put Only Velen and Malygos inside the deck. other than that fill the deck with many removal as much as possible.
    Once Vele and Maly get kill . play this with mind blast and holy smite Bam! OTK!.
