This is great, theres something so magical about early 90s backmarker teams. They had so much personality and passion, with shoe string budgets. The Jordan is one of the most beautiful f1 cars, I always really like the fondmetal. Thank you for uploading this.
It's interesting to see so much variety with the cars regarding the engines, liveries etc. I can see why many hark back to this era and openly say "This was the best"
Truly wonderful to see and hear! 1991 is particularly meaningful to me, as it was the first year I attended a Grand Prix at Silverstone as a 13 year old, a month and a half after this video was filmed. The Jordan 191 is a truly beautiful car and looks nicely planted on track. The Lamborghini's sound wonderful, but look a handful. I love how you can see into the cockpits and the driver's hands working the wheel. I can't wait to see your future uploads! 😊👍 I also appreciate your description / details written about the session.
I agree about watching the drivers hands. I love watching how they work the wheel as the accelerate out of the corners. I can tell you’ve got some great memories from Silverstone 😊.
brilliant vid, I love the old stuff, was massively into F1 from about 95 onwards, missed a lot before that really, I'm discovering the old V12s, thanks for uploading!
This is really cool to see, I was a huge jordan fan from the mid 90's onwards I'm a little on the young side for anything earlier but its so cool to see this footage from the weekend where they scored their first points 🙂 I've also seen the Lamborghini in the museum in Monaco, its an amazing looking car in the flesh, size zero sidepods before it became a thing. I miss the innovation and ingenuity of this era, now even with a solid entry (Andretti) its almost impossible to get on the grid. Losing the smaller teams was sad for F1, only corporate giants need apply now, where is the next privateer supposed to come from?
@@robhurley5258 PLEASE keep them coming, Sent chills down my back. I have some pictures I took in the pits during this era, would love to share them with you Rob
Excellent stuff: that Lambo is a really beautiful car. So much variety of teams to see then, compared to now with just 10 teams: monotonous and boring.
I'm from Montreal and I was there! I went every year from 1983 up to 1997 and I miss the roaring sound of those engines!

We certainly miss those days
Those recordings are a treasure. So immersive!
I was there. I can still smell the C12 of the beautiful Jordan 7UP car.

Everyone bangs on about how pretty the Jordan 191 is, but that Lambo's a looker too.
Absolutely!
The Jordan 191 and Larousse Lambo are the two best looking f1's of all time
A l'époque c'était tellement rare de voir la Coloni de Chaves en piste

The Lamborghini’s : )
Please upload more of these videos I can’t find home footage like this anywhere
Thanks, I will but it’s a slow process. I’m about 1/3 through my tapes and I’m saving the best for last 🙂
F1 now is nothing This is the real F1
Bad ass old racecars...they kept getting quicker and quicker as the session went on...but where were the Ferrari's, William's and the McLaren's?
This was pre-qualifying, so the top 4 in this session would advance to regular qualifying with Ferrari and the rest.
Fantastic stuff, Thank you!
You are welcome!

So true...
Hadn't seen that Lambo before, beautiful design indeed!
Brilliant stuff!

Very nice😊
The era before optimization.
Absolutely!
Pedro Chaves > Aryton Senna
Ricardo Rosset > Pedro Chaves
Which turn is this?
Turn 6
@@robhurley5258 thanks! Really appreciate you sharing this! 👍
BMS и Jordan сильнее остальных
Yes, most definitely!
F1 is now dead.
Unfortunately I feel the same way 😕
Lol ok sounds like the worlds moved on from the things you find entertaining, like dead drivers
I started following F1 in the early 80’s, and I sill enjoy watching it. It beats the heck out of stick and ball sports!
Been dead since May 1, 1994
@@dominicheslop8762 there will always be dead drivers
