    Dude thanks man, I am installing a 2in level kit on mines,and your video is by far the straightest/easiest way to go.

    Just installed 2” leveling kit on 2018 f150 following this way of install. By far the easiest way to go. Only thing I did different is I separated the upper ball joint which just made it easier to remove strut assembly. I was able to line up the LCAs to get fastened exactly where they were prior to leveling install just by light prying and zipping the nuts on with a impact wrench when they were in the correct position. I did mark them with a paint marker but it really wasn’t too necessary as you can clearly see where they were originally fastened by the wear marks from the bolt and nut head. Had alignment done afterwards and only thing off was the toe by less than a 1/8”. Thanks for the video. Installed two different leveling kits on other trucks without pulling the LCA bolts and it’s way easier this way.

    What about setting the preload on the lower control arms? Sitting the truck on the ground before tightening them? Otherwise looks like a great method.

    Thank you SO much for this video! I can also testify that it worked perfectly fine for me on my 2017 that has spent it’s life in Canada and Michigan. Yeah, it has seen a lot of salt. I am not an auto tech, but am fairly handy. I think I had about 5 hours into the job all together. I had difficulty getting a couple of the lock nuts off of the end-link, but used a heat gun to and they came off just fine once I figured the issue out. I took it for an alignment the next morning and everything is fine. - thanks again!

      I try to make things as simple as I can, I did the drivers side and kind of had to figure it out then I did the walk through on the passenger side. I don't remember if I state this in the video but its in your best interest to get an alignment done upon completion.

    Out of 10 videos this one looks twice as easy as the rest. I'm upgrading UCA so I do have to remove upper ball joint and bushing bolts, so I just need the strut to drop out of the way (it already has level kit on it) thanks for showing this method.

      I did it to my truck in roughly 40 min 20 min per side, all i did was take out the two lower control arm bolts, and then take out the lower strut bolt and boom the strut dropped right out from the bottom and i installed spacer... literally only 3 bolts all the same size

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are eccentric bolts, so rotating them will change how far in or out the LCA is in relation to the mount. You should see some alignment grooves on the bolt head side to give you an idea, but just mark where the cam lobe is the largest against the mount so you can put everything back. An alignment shop can fine tune everything after so no need to be exact just close enough.
