Thanx for the video. I know its al lot of fun jamming around with the JP8080 especially when you love Trance music. I have the JP8000 and i play it almost every day😊
I jealous, would love to have my hands on a Virus C :-D Im quite sure you can make some really good sounding track with that one. Don´t use hardware that much but found it really inspiring to play around with it now so kinda hooked....hehe
I love synths, and Trance!!! Wish I knew how to play like that...I have a Arturia Keylab, forgot the model...a TD-303, Maschine Mikro MK3...and a LOT of synths and instruments (VSTs) ...also on iPad have SynthMaster
Sounds like you have plenty of gear to create some awesome music then :-) Just digg into it an have fun and trying to recreate some famous songs is a very good way to practice I think :-)
hehehe, if I continue with that my then my next videos will only be with lights :-p But it´s all about setting the scene right? :-p Yuppy, they sure did. And funny that 20 years ago you were strange and a drug addict if you enjoyed that genre while now its become more and more infused into pop music 🤓
Thanks for the positive feedback mate :-D And a little bit eeehhh that you reminded me of that, only a few years now before it´s my time to feel the wrath of the rubber glove :-X :-p
Never say never, suddenly you come over it by an accident ( thats what happened to me here ;-) )But as @cortruisse says, the JT-4000 is a nice and extremely cost efficient alternative :-) And since they are releasing an updated version soon that might be some good $49 spent :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic Its just a toy with serious limitations. Practically useless due its construction flaws. Almost bought one last year for fun, but after several months of waiting, I cancelled my order. What update do you talk about? I found nothing about it.
I´ve read about that that several places and if you had two of them then yeah, guess the synth is way past its expected life span of certain parts :-) But i´m just borrowing it so for me the tiny piece of paper does the job for now 😅
Great job, did all the remakes use the jp8080 for all sounds? Less sidechain should be used if at all though, sidechain was mainly a thing in french house back then as Im sure you know ;)
Thanks for the comment mate :-) All sound except the drums/perc, fx and piano is from it. A lot of them are layered several times to get the right sound. Since it takes quite some time to recreate all these tracks sidechain really helps since it really shortens down the mix to make it sound ok. But sidechain can absolutely be overused and just look at modern EDM for that 🥲
@@CBSoreidemusic yeah it takes time to layer the right sounds. Thats why having more than one JP or JT can be helpful 😆 Actually I suppose with the JT you really could buy more than one sonce its cheap. I never use sidechain if Im making oldschool trance, simply because if they could do it without then, it can be done today as well. I used to love the daft punk use of it but EDM destroyed it and today music just sounds shit!
@@AnalogFlava Think with what I see on Reverb.com you can get around 40-60 JT-4000 for the price of one JP8080😆😆😆 So then you could layer it from here to the moon and back again!
Tenacity melody sound very cheap.. you need original preset from nord lead and jp-8080 can do this.. you need just square with pwm with LFO1 triangle and X-mod with noise on 2 osc a bit 3/100
Hey there! Most of the ones here I made myself which is why their not all 100% correct 😅 Some i´ve downloaded ages ago, don´t remember where. But if you google specific trance song titles + midi i´m sure you´ll find lots of remakes that can be downloaded :-)
You certainly captured the feeling. I can see the silhouettes of dancers packed together under a strobe in a warehouse now.
Thanks a bunch for kind words :-D Was hoping they sounded good enough for to be used in a real setting so that was really uplifting :-)
absolute FIRE
Thanks a lot for the feedback mate 😁😁

Thanks for the kind feedback :-) Oh, I´m jealous of you as I would have loved to have one of those. Would surely play with it all the time as well :-D
Thanx for such a great video. You my eyes be wet with nostalgic tears. You did a very good job while recreating those tracks. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!❤
Thank you so much for the kind words and awesome that you enjoyed it :-D It´s easy to get nostalgic with that music yeah :-)
feel like I was listening to my MoS comp.
Thanks a lot for the feedback, hope it brought back good memories then :-)
Superb stuff! Communication by Armin has to be THE ONE! Absolutely ethereal! 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Thanks a bunch :-) Hehe, that one is quite the classic as well yeah :-D :-D
hello from a fellow JP8000 owner!!!
Hello there mate :-) Then you are a lucky one, Im just borrowing the one I have now. Hope you get to use yours a lot :-D
@@CBSoreidemusic I do enjoy it! Who doesn’t love that super saw!?
Good point! :-D
I have this one at top of my rack. + Akai Z8, Waldorf Rack Attack, MAM MB 33 II ... Roland JD 800 ... Thank you for these tunes!
Sounds like you have quite a nice setup there, shure you can make lots of goodies with that :-) Thanks for the feedback :-)
very rare and beautiful video.. some tracks sounds like 100% original.. Selu Vibra, Viola very beautifil
Thanks a lot for the feedback, awesome that you found them to be so close to the real deal, more boost here :-D
A good trance track never fails to make me smile! Maybe I can recreate (or even create) some with the help of my old Virus C.

mdma synth!
Merci ! 👍👍👍👍🙏
Thank you to for watching :-D

damn! I thought I was a great trance fan and yet I didn't know a single one of these..
Hope this gave you some new names to search up and maybe you found some new favourites then :-)
fanatstic lots of goodie stuff here
Thanks a bunch for the feedback 😀
Hermoso Que viva el Trance. Greetings from Mexico
I couldn´t agree more :-) Love Mexico, I was in CDMX and Puerto Escondido earlier this year and loved everything about it :-D
@@CBSoreidemusic Trance forever, always welcome to Mexico :D
C sharp has been a favourite since i first heard it. Great opener
Awesome, cheers :-) Love it like heck here as well, such a great example of beautiful melodic Dutch Trance :-D

The key takeaway from this fantastic music video is: BUY MOAR LIGHTS!
Man trance producers did leave a cool legacy behind, didn't they?

Some new songs (to me) to check out nice work!
Cheers mate :-)
Incredible Job! However, if anyone remembers these songs its about time to schedule your colonoscopy! They recommend it at 45 now :(

harika
Thanks back at you :-)
wow! amazing!
Thank you! Cheers! :-)
This is my dream synth. Probably never gonna get it in my entire life. It has incredibly growing high price.
I've had one years ago, and recently got a Behringer JT4000 and it's a pretty good approximation for under $100

Why not???

i'm gonna dig up my jp 2080 for sure :-)
You should sell the preset bank :)
Haha, cheers, will think about that :-)
The volume pot must be a common problem, Ive had two of these both with the same fault, its a cheap fix though.

Tracks have to be short now for the low attention span, tiktok generation.
I created these videos for me and those who like the genre, not for tiktok ;-)
