Behringer JT-4000 track - Chasing Euphoria. 100% made with this synth except for the drums 😊
I wanted to create a track using only the Behringer JT-4000 and here is the final result. Evolving space ambient atmospheric music with all sounds coming from the little synth except the drums, with a video filmed at a small lake in Norway.

The Arturia MicroFreak has been out for 5 years now and is quite a unique piece of synth magic. Some hate it while others love it because of its weird design look and how to use it. Thanks a lot mate 😀
Great little Synthesizer, For the money.!!!!!
Completely agree with you :-) Will put out a track soon thats 100% made from it and tried to push it to the max :-D
imagine, for a moment, that it is possible to go back in time; then go to Bach or Mozart and say: "Here, try this". Who knows what would happen...
I think they would have created some really beautiful, melodic works :-D
God was there: Circa 1993-2005 🙏
God this is sooo good. ❤
Thanks a bunch for liking it :-D
Pretty sure this is Rank 1 but I can't remember which one ? ^^'
Just found the full video :D it is Dutch Force - Deadline, one half of Rank 1!
@@NiamorH Spot on! It really has the Rank 1 sound yeah 🙂
Goosebumps.
Thanks for that mate 🙂
@@CBSoreidemusic What plugin do you recommend to get these JP8080 sounds?
@@talsavyon1426 I only used the hardware synth here, but you can get pretty close results on VSTs such as Spire, Hive, Synthmaster, Diva etc 🙂
Mate this is class! ❤
Thanks for the kind words :-)
Definitely on my wish list 🔊🔥 Great channel btw New sub here😊❤
Thanks for the positive feedback, really appreciate it :-D
Cool video So we’re all these presets?
Thanks mate :-) Yuppy, most the presets were from a free Preset pack called " Trancentral" from the Arturia website. Rest was whats included with the synth.
@@CBSoreidemusic Cool just finally got round to ordering one, do you run it through a DAW? I plan to hook it up to Ableton 😎 VST’s are cool enough I just want some knobs to fiddle with to help with my sound design education / journey ☺️
Sorry just saw the Logic workflow 😂 Do you write your own Midis or play out the Melodie’s? I’m taking keyboard lessons in the hope I can pick up some musicality 😊
@@MP-mr8rj Good for you, you wont regret getting one :-D You can do way more with VST´s these days but there is something about tweaking the knobs and experimenting. And you learn quickly the logics behind what makes what sound, how and when while playing with it 🙂 And since you can import samples and presets into this one its quite a powerful synth 🙂
@@MP-mr8rj I wish I got keyboard lessons when I was younger as I cant live play for crap :-p I wrote the midis in after listening to the tracks but trial and error and recorded each separately into audio files :)
Went back to my 20's again... Missing that superior trance sound!
Awesome! :-) Missing that sound too😪
This is pretty cool! We need more Gregorian chant in our ambient.
Thanks :-) Agree, loved that kind of choir ever since hearing Enigma´s "MCMXC a.D." album ages ago :-D
You make me happy, thx! 💞💪🏼
Cheers, really motivating to hear that :-D😇
great and funny unboxing! 😂😂😂
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback and great that you enjoyed it, both content and humor wise :-D
Are the drums coming from the jp8080 as well ?
Hey! Nope, non of the drums or perc/fx instruments + the piano comes from it. But all of the synth sounds is straight out of the box from the synth :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic I sampled a chunk from your strange world section into my korg es1 running it behind the same arrangement on a behringer crave and rd9 etc ,when i turn up the filter on the es1 ,it sounds almost like there's a jp8080 in the room 👌👍
Please do more of these. I just came back from a trip there and this brought back many memories
Thanks for the positivt comment :-D Awesome, where did you go and what was your fav place to visit? Pienza, Montepulciano and Siena is probably my go to places there :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic I spent 4 days in Pienza. For 2 days I rented a scooter and got to drive to Montepulciano, Castiglioni d'orcia, Abbadia San Salvatore, Montecchielo... I got to see Siena afterwards for 2 days. Siena was very busy compared to val d'orcia 😂 As for my favorite, I'd have to say Pienza and Montefollonico. Both are very pretty and quiet, which is generally what I look for! But my favorite stretch to drive on was Pienza to San Quirico d'orcia, that road has some beautiful views If you're able to film any of those that would be really cool!
My goodness..... Im so jealous of your trip 🥹😁 I´ve so far only seen the area with trains/buses and in cars going from A to B while going to a work location so not many visits to the really small villages. Would love to take a scooter trip around the area, must the be most most authentic way to experience the area :-D But 4 days in Pienza..... yipes! I had 2 days there and I still pretty sure that 70% of my blood consists of the extreme amount of Pecorino cheese devoured during those days 😅 But I know what you mean the stretch to San Quirico d'orcia, I was there the first time in October and the colour was awesome :-D
I'm so happy to see people nowadays recreating that good old trance🥲🥲🥲thank you!
Thanks for positive comment mate :-D Hope it brought back some good memories, sure does that for me every time I put on an good oldie :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic cool! Yet I wasn't lucky to see these times myself (I didn't exist :)) I'm searching for stuff on how old trance is made, because the modern one has absoulutely different sound and quality. Oldschool trance is the best!!!
@@aleksdizhe Then you have a lot to look forward to as you will find lots of gems out there :-) Would recommend the "In search of sunrise" and "In trance we trust" early mixes, you find sooo much goody good stuff there, great for inspiration to hear how they are built up :-D
@@CBSoreidemusic thank you!!!
Keep it up, you are clearly talented. The small number of viewers is obviously just the beginning.
Thank you so much for the motivating words, really appreciate it 🙂🥹
Cool performance! Still waiting to buy next upgraded version with midi connection to plug a midi keyboard. Did you play all melodies on the tiny keyboard?
Thanks mate :-) I connected it to my mac and used a Kontrol s49 through the DAW :-) But did play with it during a flight recently and used to small keys to record some ideas so it works for inspirational purposes :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic Well done! :)
@@babonneau Thanks 😀

Awesome music BRO☺♥♪
Thanks a lot for the feedback, much appreciated :-D
Mate can I ask how you got this working with logic? I bought this November 2023 could never get this to play through my speakers with IMac, interface and Logic Pro x
Hey there :-) I connect the usb to the mac and then I choose External instrument in logic ( Think I show where it is in the "How I recreate trance tunes with a Roland JP-8080" video". It´s the same principal as how I then get audio in shown in the same video. I use a 3.5mm jack from the headphone out on the JT-4000 to two XLRs that goes into my audio interface, then create a audio track and set 1-2 as the input. :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic I'll give this a go again, thank you so much

Thanks a lot for the feedback mate 😁😁
You should sell the preset bank :)
Haha, cheers, will think about that :-)

The JP-8000 is a 49-Key Synthesizer while the JP8080 is a rack version with no keys :-)
@@CBSoreidemusicbasically one can get the same sound on jp 8000 which you are playing on 8080...

harika
Thanks back at you :-)
Out of jp8000, nord lead 2x, Yamaha an1x, and waldorf blofeld which is better in terms of trance music production...
I have only used the JP8xxx out of the ones you mention there so not sure about the others. But the JP pops up almost every time you search for trance synth ( as well as the Viruses) so I would guess that one stands out. But read that many use the Blofeld to so that might also be a good option.... much cheaper too :--)
Just revisiting this after having some issues with my setup and the stereo image when I record my jp8080, so trying to troubleshoot...are you recording straight to your audio interface, or do you record via mixer first then audio interface? Id like to know basically if the stereo image I am hearing is straight out of the JP8080 direct to your DAW and also if internal delay was used or if a plugin is used in the DAW? Cheers mate!
Replied in the other post :-) But yeah, what I showed here is the straight out of the synth to the audio interface. I have issues with the volume pot so If its not being pressed as I showed in my first JP vid the imaging is completely off. Is your working perfectly or? As for plugins I used the Valhalla Supermassive one both for reverb and delay, so that might be why some of the patches sounds more massive than straight out of the synth :-)
Somethign weird is going on with phase throughout the video
Hmmm, so strange. Must have been something with the export I guess? :-O
Tracks have to be short now for the low attention span, tiktok generation.
I created these videos for me and those who like the genre, not for tiktok ;-)
Baseline reminds me of Wonder by Armin & Tiesto
Armin sure used that style for his basslines back then, miss it :-)
