- Finally, an HD Upload of all the Elite sounds from Combat Evolved.
I made the first video containing "some" of the Elite sounds from CE when I was 14. I'm now 22.
It's crazy how that's now my most viewed video, and it's crazy cool to see how many people have used that video in their own. And thankfully, I'm here re-doing it entirely with EVERY sound from CE, ripped straight from the game files. I held off on doing this because as I got older, I figured someone would eventually just do a video with All the sounds. But not really, all the ones I found were either Super low quality, or had no download links to the individual sounds. Or it was a mix of both lol, so here I come once again, over Seven years later.
Some of these might be labeled weirdly and you have probably heard them in instances aside from the situation labels they have, but I was just going by the names in the game files.

It's crazy. I've seen some memes, as well as links for the original video just out in the wild. And some people I've met online have actually recognized my name for being the uploader of that video. It's cool to see how tight-knit the creative part of the Halo community can be, and how oddly wide-spread that video was LOL.
I'm also fully aware that this upload probably won't get anywhere near as many views or usage as the original has (and honestly, probably still will) but I felt like finally giving everyone a Proper upload of all the Combat Evolved Elite sounds, in the hopes that this will get more usage than the old one will.

I know most people will probably find it weird that I've unlisted it when it's so close the 1 million views, but I just want to make sure people are directed to this proper re-upload instead of that one, and I'm sure someday it'll somehow reach a million on it's own lol.
Anyways, thanks for checking this video out, and please feel free to use this in your projects. Again, credit for ripping would be nice, but isn't necessary. Do not try to claim the sounds as your own, they don't belong to either of us.

For a game that came out in 2001 yeah I agree. They did a fantastic job. Way ahead of its time.
theres a GDC talk about how they did the AI in CE, it was pretty cool to listen to. also its somewhat surreal that most if not all these sounds came from a backwards johnson

It's interesting how there are just a few English lines they know for taunting, seems like something a human would do when invading/defending against a foreign nation. Very immersive, they did so well on every aspect of this game, but the enemy designs are so unique for the time, nothing can compare.
Canonically, the Elites are very capable of speaking fluent English but they have trouble with "P" and "V" sounds.
I have to wonder who tf taught them English

@@padischli they'd been at war with humanity for a little over two decades actually, still a believable timeframe to learn some english. Of course none of it really makes sense, they all speak english in the next games.

Elites laughing after killing the chief made me so angry, that after respawning and killing them, I used to keep bashing them until the pool of blue blood was so great that it made the console to run the game slowly when looking at the scene.

These were my favorite Covenants when I played this game. Totally badass with their fierce growls, intimidating voice and horrible tempers. They sound so pissed off whenever they flip out!
