I wonder why they didn't just make a general kitchen expansion pack ... where you can make your own icecream, sell waffles and have your own restaurant ... oh wait, I know why 😅
If you have "Get to Work" you can already do that. Heck, with the selling tables that are in debug and with other packs, you can already sell the food, just can't use the small appliances on another lot.
I think most of the time they don't plan ahead and rushed their DLCs, that's why the game ended up with a lot of samey themed DLCs. We had multiple DLC that revolves around cooking, taking care of environment, etc...
One thing that frustrated me is that you can't order any of the new pizzas or sell them in restaurants. I had been planning on opening a pizzeria with the dineout mod but I guess thats out the window...

I'm glad you mentioned the past selling tables and how similar Home Chef Hustle's table is a rehash of those. Most reviewers made sure to skim over it, or didn't mention it at all.
You can sell food from those tables too but this new one differs in the following ways: 1) with this one sims by portions of food like slices of pizza when you put out a box instead of the whole thing. 2) with this one they eat whatever they buy in front of you. The old stands they would just buy like a whole box of pizza and then it would be gone. 3) Because they eat in front of the stand and will sit down on chairs and seating if you place them nearby especially if they are picnic tables, they can also be affected by the food you sell in mass and sometimes there will be custom buffs. For example, someone sold poor quality pufferfish nigiri and they killed several sims and then got a buff saying they were an agent of chaos. This also works for things like potions and selling plasma and meat to werewolves and vampires. 4) You can cook on the stand with the appliances that came with the pack and several other appliances like the ice cream maker 5) You can name the stand and also choose a custom icon for your stand now, I don't think you could do that with the old ones 6) The old ones will be manned by random npc sims selling stuff if you put them down on the community spaces that came with eco-lifestyle. That doesn't happen with this stand.
I just hate how the aspirations are locked to pizzas and waffles.. what if I wanna sell something else and still have an aspiration to match my desire to run my own food stand?? Why couldn’t it have been a generic ”sell producrs of perfect quality” instead for example ”pizza of perfect quality”

Something you forgot to mention in your review which I think is important. If you have seasons you basically can not sell anything in most worlds most of the time. It won't let you make stuff in the rain which is annoying.
I holed up in the inside of the rec centre in San Sequoia and that worked, my home lot it was snowing, so I thought I'll go another world, and it was raining there lol, so I just moved a table and set up in the canteen, got quite a few traffic that way lol. The cas may be underwhelming (but I love the earrings), but the kitchen is fantastic! Charming modern kitchen. So I don't feel like they are "bloated." It's just so nice to see a good stuff pack. I like the concept of paranormal stuff, but I never play with that sort of thing.

Like, we could hang an apron on the wall and click something like "Put on aprons while cooking" Also, I'm surprised at CAS. I wish this was just a cool kitchen stuff update or something. How much more kitchen themed stuff do we need?.. also. The little Doge in the background is so cute
I say again, the whisk looks like a noose. The counters look a whole lot like the Into The Future set from Sims 3. I guess I'm one of the few people who likes the Cool Kitchen furniture. The only difference I can seen in the stall is that you can bring your appliances. But in my head, without playing this pack, it makes more sense to have the food already cooked and then sell it on the stand because of the time it takes to sell things on a stand. So the difference is that you can cook with these small appliances at the stall itself. But that is really unrealistic. If you are going to set up a stand like that most of your food is going to already be cooked and you just sell it. Which is the way the retail system works. What seems to set this apart really is that they actually eat the food after buying it. That's the really big thing, so go back to Get to Work and replace all the bakery displays with this to have a truly functional bakery/restaurant because they will then buy and eat the food. I guess I find it really sad that it took them what? 9 years to fix it so they will eat what they buy when sold by your sim. Wait. The food goes bad on the table? Ok so when I tested out the selling tables that we already have in game, the food acted as though it were in a fridge and didn't go bad. It goes bad on this one? No, no, no. Two weeks ago, before the update, I had a sim that sold drinks and food from the yard sale tables. It worked, it was not locked out. I think I used the ones from that concert thing that is available in debug. If you want to use it easily, just make a tiny room with just the table on it so you can add it to any lot. The only difference in this one is that you can have the small appliances with you, but like I said thats unrealistic really. The only thing in this pack that is special is the appliances really, and truly its the mixer since it works for recipies other than what comes with the pack.
Im content with just the Cool Kitchen stuff pack tbh (i rly liked the counters and cabinets), but ngl the ice cream machine got boring in less than a few minutes, and i quickly forgot about it. So most likely I would've completely forgot about this stuff pack on day 1 of getting it (which im not). I forget pizza even existed in the base game because i never order it. Should've basically been the update to Cool Kitchen. Thank you for looking over the pack! Naming the stand "Blue Waffle" was funny xD
I really do love cooking in game, collecting all recipes (THAT YOU STILL CAN'T TRACK). I love meal prepping and frugal living and really think this goes well with the boho/homesteader style I love to play
I love this pack. My sim owns a flower shop and a food stand. I always wanted her to sell flowers and coffee so I hired 2 employees to take care of selling the flower arrangements while the owner takes care of selling the food. It's like a huge money trap. She makes soo much money off of doing that.
i just got this and i love it! i bought 5 dlc's plus the free romantic garden for Christmas. i only had $50 to spend, and it fit right in the budget. and i got everything on sale to boot!
I put my stand at San Myshuno. Some stands pop up, so my stand disappears in my family inventory. I found it, but the pizza oven, and all the pizzas made vanished in the Great Void. + i bought flour to make drought, and the flour were not reconized. Yes, two bugs in ten minutes. Nice job, EA
So we basically have a kit/stuff pack for every room except for a bathroom. Anyone noticed that? We only have a bathroom clutter kit... I want mordern built-in toilets
2:24 A what now? I love when Satch says something in different language even tho I don’t understand what it is 😂 As much as I’m bored of playing Sims myself, I watch Sims videos from him anyways cuz he never disappoints Love ya Satch and thanks for your hard work. ❤ P.S.: Cute dog in the background
Idk if it is just me but this stuff pack is good and has good quality objects and stuff but it just feels a bit lackluster like there isn't as much gameplay as paranormal and has as much as like nifty knitting. I feel like people are just excited because it comes with a new kitchen set and there hasn't been a stuff pack for 3 years. I just thought that since there hasn't been a stuff pack for 3 years there would be like loads of new gameplay and lots of new stuff. I am happy with the pack its just I think they should have take a different theme instead of cooking like hobbies or something like that.
So what about the mixer bursting into flames? Like I get it’s an appliance but that is the last one I could see bursting into flames on its own, plus if it does catch fire it can’t be extinguished due to routing issues
So listen to me! It’s ok to gameplay items split in packs ok? Ok! The nectar making (although recycled from Eco Lifestyle) works great for Horse Ranch! But splitting appliances? Movie hangout for popcorn, cool kitchen stuff for ice cream machine and this cool kitchen-dine out-city living pack for 3 more?! Especially when they are the selling point. If there was ONE pack focused on the appliances it would’ve been ok. Imagine a pack with waffle, mixer, oven, popcorn, ice cream, maybe a crepe maker, a hand mixer, air fryer, deep fryer or blender. This could possibly worth the money (if it worked ofc because EA could never make something that is not broken)
i really think this pack kept the same standards of the recent stuff packs, what means that this pack is GREAT, i'd give like a 8,5: the build mode is just perfection and gets 10, gameplay could be a little more complex in terms of selling and you could even be able to hire people to sell more, to have more labor and make more money so i'd give like 8, and the cas is literally perfect for the content, it is perfect for chef things and there are actually a lot of usable and good clothes and mainly hairstyles so i'd give like a 7.5 overall, i think this pack have A LOT of quality and it has kind of the same standards of paranormal, but maybe a little bit lower, and it has a lot of quality in items, build mode, clothes and loads of details that make a lot of difference not just for someone who wants to have an autonomous career of selling and making food, but also for everyday stuff, this is a solid and good 8,5
I agree, i actually loved this pack more than i thought i would, and it gives me an incentive to change up my sims diets. Normally ill just feed them grilled cheese for their entire lives, but i actually feel like cookings pretty fun with this pack. I understand its not for everyone, but i honestly think its definitely the 2nd best stuff pack after paranormal 🎉
@@Biscuitee i feel the same!! i really feel like those recent stuff packs since tiny living have been having actually really amazing and creative stuff, and home chef hustle is no exception, i also consider it the 2nd best stuff pack
It's a shame that they didn't take more time for the CAS but especially the Build/Buy because there was so much potential for more decor, like you said.
I was praying this was going to be a sell to order - like an omelette station. Sigh. I've always been able to sell food from the yard sale table, though, so this is no different.
1) i hate how the corner cabinet is just a shelf, i wish they had the corner shelf seperate from the cabinetry. 2) i kinda dont like the the new build objects on general. like to me theyre kinda dull idk maybe its just the green color scheme that seems a bit blah to me 3) i will end up buying it probably for the pizza oven and waffle maker...lets see how long i can last without it
DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE THAT YOU NEED THIS TABLE TO SELL FOOD Ok, I made a comment but I just want to emphasize again in a separate one that you CAN sell food on the existing tables that are in the game, you just can't use the small appliances on the existing tables. But if you make food and then put it on the tables that came with the concert thing that are in debug, you can sell food and drinks. I haven't tried on the other table, but I will do that soon and add a comment to this one if it works. Don't fall for this being the only way to sell food in the game, with those existing debug tables you can do it in basegame without even buying another pack.
Just tested with the Jungle Adventure table and the Eco Living table and you can sell food on those tables too. Just do "View Inventory" drag the food or drink into the new window, the click "Stock Table" and start a sale. It works for food. Do not fall for needing this table to sell the food. You only need this new table to bring the small appliances. AND when I put the food in the inventory for the table, it acted like a fridge setting the times for the cupcakes from 24 hours on the counter to 16 days in the table inventory, same sort of thing for a drink made on a bar. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE THAT YOU NEED THIS TABLE TO SELL FOOD
Yeha you can sell them but townies won’t actually sit and eat anything they buy from you and that’s what I am looking forward to. I’ll get this one on sale prob
@@dalkayI'm not saying don't buy it, but they keep talking as though this is the only table that sells food, and its not. So if someone is buying just to sell, don't get cheated.

You could always sell food on the yard sale tables - it's my favourite way to make money in rags to riches or 100 baby challenge. It's really easy to make lots of money selling individual plates of baked food - the better your skill the more money you make obvs. Sims 4 is just re-hashing anything they can nowadays eh 🤦🏼♀️
???? I use a yard sale table and sell food and produce all the time? What do you mean it was locked? Sure, people didn't like partial portions (ie 7 servings instead of 8) and some foods weren't coded to give you money, but my sims have been selling food from the yard sale table for as long as i can remember
So. I don’t have Dine Out, Cool Kitchen, or this one. Which has better Build Mode items? I know Dine Out is broke af, but I’m on PC and am aware of Carl’s mods!
Thank you for your honesty Satch! I was disappointed to see how positive people are being about this pack. It’s literally all stuff we already have packaged slightly different but people are eating it up 🙄
I don’t care about the gameplay. I’ve never understood the hype around food and cooking in the sims. BUT as someone who spends 70 percent of my gameplay in build mode, I really want that kitchen. Now, if only I could convince myself it’s worth ten dollars.

I have to admit, almost all my attention was taken by the beautiful, cute doggy next to Satch :D
I really do love cooking in game, collecting all recipes (THAT YOU STILL CAN'T TRACK). I love meal prepping and frugal living and really think this goes well with the boho/homesteader style I love to play
Preparing and selling food reminds me a lot of Sims 2 Open for Business and selling food from display fridge
I was literally waiting for this
I love this pack. My sim owns a flower shop and a food stand. I always wanted her to sell flowers and coffee so I hired 2 employees to take care of selling the flower arrangements while the owner takes care of selling the food. It's like a huge money trap. She makes soo much money off of doing that.
9/10 playthroughs - only cooking and eating Garden Salad
i just got this and i love it! i bought 5 dlc's plus the free romantic garden for Christmas. i only had $50 to spend, and it fit right in the budget. and i got everything on sale to boot!
What happened towards the end? Lol
So we basically have a kit/stuff pack for every room except for a bathroom.
Anyone noticed that? We only have a bathroom clutter kit... I want mordern built-in toilets
All of the clutter is probably in a future kit 😂
Spat my drink out when I saw the name of the food stall 😂
I actually like your new backdrop. It includes a dog, and dogs are always a plus in videos XD
No they're not. Get a life.
@@dalpaos0974 Oh yes, "get a life" says the dog hating troll LMAO you can't make this stuff up I swear XD
2:24 A what now? I love when Satch says something in different language even tho I don’t understand what it is 😂
As much as I’m bored of playing Sims myself, I watch Sims videos from him anyways cuz he never disappoints
Love ya Satch and thanks for your hard work. ❤
P.S.: Cute dog in the background
I think this was going to be a kit and they bumped it up a bit with some counters because they knew the community wanted stuff packs back
Omg this!
Satch What is the little doggy's name🥺🙏🏼
My First Home Chef Hustle Stuff, I laugh whenever you try to say that!! 🤣❤
I have free CC that is more exciting than furniture in this pack. they should collab with Felixandre
This hat looks like a cute, happy knitted poop. That's all I wanted to say. 🤗
i really think this pack kept the same standards of the recent stuff packs, what means that this pack is GREAT, i'd give like a 8,5: the build mode is just perfection and gets 10, gameplay could be a little more complex in terms of selling and you could even be able to hire people to sell more, to have more labor and make more money so i'd give like 8, and the cas is literally perfect for the content, it is perfect for chef things and there are actually a lot of usable and good clothes and mainly hairstyles so i'd give like a 7.5
overall, i think this pack have A LOT of quality and it has kind of the same standards of paranormal, but maybe a little bit lower, and it has a lot of quality in items, build mode, clothes and loads of details that make a lot of difference not just for someone who wants to have an autonomous career of selling and making food, but also for everyday stuff, this is a solid and good 8,5
I agree, i actually loved this pack more than i thought i would, and it gives me an incentive to change up my sims diets.
I don’t understand how they looked at everything they’ve released and were like “what we need most is more kitchen stuff” 🤷♀️
It's a shame that they didn't take more time for the CAS but especially the Build/Buy because there was so much potential for more decor, like you said.
The only sims reviewer I trust
I was praying this was going to be a sell to order - like an omelette station. Sigh. I've always been able to sell food from the yard sale table, though, so this is no different.
That is literally the prettiest Doggy I've ever seen!!! 🥰🤩 But also I Agree best kitchen, but a blah pack 😒
There is a mod override that makes your sims always seat down when eating. Love that mod
This has just reminded me how infuriating not being able to work at your own restaurant in the sims is.
Another kitchen pack.? Omg, give me the grim reaper and cars, real spooky stuff! No wonder I have not bought anything I awhile. Well, years.
I love your reviews Satch. But I think I love that dog more 😍
I spotted a doggo, instantly a great vid✨
Get a life, plz.
OMG you have a shiba? I have two. We’re all watching this video right now on my tv and my dog was going crazy seeing yours lol
Cute Shiba Inu in the background❤
1) i hate how the corner cabinet is just a shelf, i wish they had the corner shelf seperate from the cabinetry.
2) i kinda dont like the the new build objects on general. like to me theyre kinda dull idk maybe its just the green color scheme that seems a bit blah to me
3) i will end up buying it probably for the pizza oven and waffle maker...lets see how long i can last without it
DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE THAT YOU NEED THIS TABLE TO SELL FOOD
Ok, I made a comment but I just want to emphasize again in a separate one that you CAN sell food on the existing tables that are in the game, you just can't use the small appliances on the existing tables.
The pack doesn’t show up as being available for purchase on my EA or game start up pages. Since installing the update random visiting and NON cooking Sims have either spontaneously burst into flames or have died after turning into blocks of ice! I don’t have any CC or mods in my game ‼️🤦🏽♀️🤬🤬🤬
Omg, yhe dog in the background is adorable
Awww the dog in the background
Heheh cute little shiba in the background 🥺
You could always sell food on the yard sale tables - it's my favourite way to make money in rags to riches or 100 baby challenge. It's really easy to make lots of money selling individual plates of baked food - the better your skill the more money you make obvs. Sims 4 is just re-hashing anything they can nowadays eh 🤦🏼♀️
????
I use a yard sale table and sell food and produce all the time? What do you mean it was locked? Sure, people didn't like partial portions (ie 7 servings instead of 8) and some foods weren't coded to give you money, but my sims have been selling food from the yard sale table for as long as i can remember
you naming the food shop “The Blue Waffle” has me screaming
So. I don’t have Dine Out, Cool Kitchen, or this one.
Which has better Build Mode items? I know Dine Out is broke af, but I’m on PC and am aware of Carl’s mods!
Is that a Shiba? Is it yours? What is his/her name? 🤩
Thank you for your honesty Satch! I was disappointed to see how positive people are being about this pack. It’s literally all stuff we already have packaged slightly different but people are eating it up 🙄
sweet doggo on background🐶
I don’t care about the gameplay. I’ve never understood the hype around food and cooking in the sims. BUT as someone who spends 70 percent of my gameplay in build mode, I really want that kitchen. Now, if only I could convince myself it’s worth ten dollars.
