    I really got Déjà vu vibes, when I saw the Sword of Eden.
    And it came to me, when I saw the big holographic head. That this must how Mimir must have really looked like. If the mythical veil wasn't in Odin's memories.

    Btw, in ACIII, in one of the conversations with Shaun, Desmond says that the First CIv knew about the Toba catastrophe hundres of years before it happen. So this is not exactly a retcon, they're just inconsistent. This is from the first time you can leave the animues in the game.

      I took that as they didn't take it that seriously and until it finally came up them and tried to come up with several way to avoid destruction. Furthermore judging by what Odyssey and Valhalla was going for the ISU clearly had political issues and infighting which delayed the tasks even more.

    26:22 I wouldn't read too far into it. I'm sure Juno and Minerva meant human centuries when talking.
    Also, it's not too much of a stretch to assume the Isu had a different calendar system, but that wouldn't change the length of a year! The Mesoamericans, which had Isu connections, used a base 20 calendar, so they counted years in multiples of twenty: 20 years in a Ka'tun instead of 10 years in a Decade, 400 years in a Bʼakʼtun instead of 100 years in a Century, 8000 years in a Piktun instead of 1000 years in a Millenium, etc. But a Mayan year was still roughly 365 days.

    • @ryanthacker86
      @ryanthacker86 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the idea that they just keep it vague...keeps the element of mystery to it all. This one line of dialogue could have messed up all past assumptions but also could have just made the mystery more, erm... 🤔 'mysterious' 🤷‍♂️ and I kinda like that.

    • @Ivandsi
      @Ivandsi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely reading too much into it, every thing was kept vague enough that Minerva could have meant they were busy with other things (rather than just the war against humans) before they payed any real care to the catastrophe even if they knew from before.

  • @darknicebr
    @darknicebr ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I think this "human count" was to justify a hole in the Odyssey script where Aleteia says that humans killed each other with spears more than 100 thousand years ago. When we had access to a document that said that humans were not made that long ago, but in the Xisu era (I don't remember). I think Ubisoft didn't remember this super specific manual that said the Isu war started 10 human years before lol (Google translate) 🇧🇷

  • @naseeb1962
    @naseeb1962 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    Don't you think that the name "Blazing Sword" and the scene with the Valkyrie and the 2 humans could be connected with the biblical episode of Adam and Eve, clothed in animal skins, kicked out from the Eden by a Cherubim holding a flaming sword?

    • @jordansimeonov1501

    • @indiana_holmes

      I'd say that's a pretty solid comparison. It definitely fits with the Valkyrie outfit AND the "blazing sword" and cowering humans.

    • @trinc5621
      @trinc5621 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      huh yeah, that's a pretty good comparison and theory. We already know that isu technology was associated with biblical lore from the bible hence pieces of Eden, the apple, story of adam and eve (Them being the first humans to revel against the isu). So yeah it would stand to reason this is a good possibility. Valkyries and Angles both could be seen as servants (and/or) warriors to the reigning (head) God(s) in Norse and Christian mythology respectively. The God(s) being higher status and prominent isu members (Odin, Juno, Jupiter, etc). Plus we know how the same isu reference is perceived differently based on the culture and time period of humans. Hence, it stands to reason to the Norse it was a valkyrie with a flaming sword; to the Christians, it was an angel.

    I'm trying to sort the post launch into a proper Timeline and my best take for this is its just before she head to Norway although it could be after since Eivor doesn't seem all to shocked to see the Isu tech. Great video, this was by far the best batch of free content.

    thank u very much for the work, maybe it can triggered some inconsistencies, but i still can see Idun and Rah Cel'eze being the same elements, the name of how humans eternalize the isu in the folclores isnt the same names of how they were called in they own era, even minerva sayed in Assassins creed 2 vault that 'Minerva' was only one of her names
    I understand the worries about how the A.I talk about the "human Centuries" but i think the way th A.I speaks and the way how Juno and Minervas speaks, must be considered as well, Juno and Minervas, are true Isu, capable of more empaty, and speaks in a way how humans can understand, so when they talk about centuries and years, they talking about in human time scale, and the A.I still made a literal distinction betwen the time scales, because it dont worry too much about the manner of how it speak will affect the listener
    Maybe just only a few Isu knew about the cataclism centuries before it happens, but they were too more uncertain about the scale of the destruction in te beggining too give a propper attention, maybe they were even completeley doubtfull about the event existence, u know, isu predictions calculations are full of variations and those shit, in abstract, the were in negation until was too late to do something about it, and the wars betwen theselves and even humans made everything more dificult, it was during those wars that the possibility of the cataclism became more in the "public Domain" and every isu knew that they going to die

    Maybe the ring initiative was ran by two people and considering that the game is kind of filtered through Odins memories of ISU and the mythological veil. Maybe he just thinks that the operation was run by one person instead of a joint project or maybe he simply considered his friend more important, so only believes that she was responsible.

  • @indiana_holmes

    Idun is phonetically similar to Eden...
    I wonder if that's where they're trying to claim the name came from. Perhaps Idun eventually became recognized and pronounced as 'Eden.' So Idun is like the overseer or mastermind of the 'Eden technology' (Pieces of Eden) throughout the ISU world. However, Idun is not responsible for the literal creation of each tech. Kind of like a CEO.
    Think Elon Musk and his technology. Tesla cars aren't designed by him, but by his Company - Scientists and Engineers. So Rah would be the Engineer behind the Rings of Eden, but Idun would be recognized as the creator or founder of the Rings of Eden project or initiative.

    I think it's silly how that Ubisoft went with the two female protagonists just because they thought it was more popular.
    And I know people mentiom the notes etc that somehow prove that the woman was the original character..
    But i can disprove the odyssey one easily..
    I can prove Alexios was the original character because if you look closely.. all weapons with all poses are perfect with Alexios.. however.. if you use a spear with Cassandra and climb or bend in certain ways, the spear goes straight through her body, especially when running and climbing, the spear goes right through her butt.. proving that Cassandra was a re skin, and that Alexios was the original character and they filmed all the moves with him.. and not.. Cassandra. And yet they chose to use Cassandra later on in valhalla, just because she was more popular.
    And i thought it was especially silly how the well known male Odin is re born as a woman, simply because they thought it'd be more popular like Odyssey..
    But its done now.. so we cant do anything about the crappy dlc in valhalla.
    But luckily we can choose to be Alexios and Male Eivor so Odin dlcs dont look ridiculous.

    Suttunger is Saturn, so Juno, Jupiter, and Minerva are based in NEW YORK at the grand temple. So the jotuns are in New York, the fire giant faction in Ragnarok I believe to be Zeus, the leader of the GREEK Pantheon. I have two supporting facts that support that, firstly, that's the only faction that uses Kassandras character model from Odyssey, and in Odysseys map there is ALOT of volcanic activity in that area, Atlantis is under a volcano... Whilst the group of isu that Odin belongs to are located in eastern Europe. Now freyja was vanir so that's another group of isu that we haven't fully seen. My best guess is she either belongs to the Celtic Isu or possibly a South American group. There are 9 realms, 9 different Isu civilizations.

    You fail to undersatnd that leap year and leap day. Originally their was less that 12 months on a calendar. So if you take into consideration that 2 thousand years since the Julian calendar was created under the romans around 53b.c. the date we used wouldnt need to be the same as how the Isu interpret time. For example the original roman calendar was based on the cresent start of a moon cycle. Also consider the effects of not having leap year for 75000+ years. Now also take for example a civilization that got thrown to rock bottom who argued about the earth being flat or the center of the solar system for much of written hystery. How would an ai who is not connected to the grey have a clue how we measure time? We dont count our age by seconds. We dont care that around 33 years we are a billion seconds old so when juno trys to compare time her life would be like comparing yours with an ant. A second becomes irrelevant unless tied to a singularity or event.

      That's a possibility indeed - it's not a big deal, and it's not even a proper inconsistency, it could be clarified in multiple ways by stating who came up with the idea and what position both of them had within the Rings of Eden Initiative

    This begs the question, when we saw the olympus project subjects, were they real beasts or the drugs and pheromons in the air. Same to the mummies in origins. It may also explain why we never see isu chairs or furniture, just huge slabs of granite and obsidian with glowing parts

    • @indiana_holmes
      @indiana_holmes ปีที่แล้ว

      The Mummies and Afterlife in Origins were kind of poorly explained as illusions created by the Piece of Eden that was messing with everyone's minds, but the monsters in Odyssey were humans who were literally transformed into monsters by interacting with Pieces of Eden. Only Kassandra (who was part ISU) could safely handle them. Eivor even had some difficulty in the Crossover story, but I'm sure she would have been able to overcome it even if Kassandra hadn't been there.

      @@cakeassassin6277 no, it's the artifact that you go pick up in the desert. It's missing when you get to the inside of the temple and you have to go find it. The guy's camel took off with it and wandered into the desert. I suppose it's a combination of the artifact and the temple's defenses affecting anyone near it, but it's because the artifact was removed.

    There is the possibility that they knew for centuries and started investigating centuries before, but ubris and politics stoped them from acting early, and when they started taking it seriouslly it was too late. ( same as the climate cryssis, not clever writters)
    And by human centuries, maybe he is comparing human notion of time with his computer ai or with the notion of time in the gray, we dont exactlly know how much time in the gray, animus, ygdrasil equates to human years.
    Or maybe they count their years in hexadesimal.

    • @AccessAnimus
      @AccessAnimus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, that's a possibility, but like I mentioned, if that were the case, it would be inconsistent with Minerva in AC2 stating that they realized there was going to be a catastrophe hitting the Earth only during the Human-Isu war.
      As for the notion of time, surely the Isu had a different one, it had already been stated in the lore before - what I was pointing out here is that making such a stark difference now, after 15 years of content, will invalidate or at least scramble many interpretations and parallels that have been done in the past
