The stupid part comes in from the opponent, who is the reigning champion. Because of his pride, he refuses to abandon the game even when there's only one glass remaining and, obviously, dies, even though all the people watching are telling him not to do it.

Not even your goodest boi Mabari has that, the guy is protective af. My main/canon Warden is a city elf, so Zevran's my ride or die, never leaves my party. Part of me is salty at how dirty they did him post-Origins, especially considering the other LIs get big parts in the sequels and/or spin-off media, but another is glad they can't warp or destroy his character. And hey, at least this also makes him the only LI that is actually canonically by the Warden's side at the time of Inquisition (yes, I will take every splinter of bone thrown my way).

On top of invisible enemies being quite rare anyway. I just don't think the fairly niche, if not very rare item, is quite worth the strange RP decision to mutilate your character, albeit a very funny one.
And yeah, I suppose I can see it being a desperate option for a character, but if you're willing to go the potential lobotomy route, then just dive head first off an elevation into a rock, and hope that works lol. OK, but hear me out in this one. Three facts most intelligent (or at least educated) characters would know, as they are common knowledge amoungst academic circles.
      1. Volothamp "Volo" Geddarm is an academic who has written and published several books on monster behaviour and anatomy, alongside books on the magic, history and geography of the realms.
      2. Volo is a known associate (and it is believed a former student) of the Archmage Elminster, one of the most powerful mortal beings in all of Toril.
      3. Elminster is one of the few publicly known leaders of a group called The Harpers, a secret society of powerful adventurers who pose as travelling entertainers in order to hunt down threats to the realm.
With his association to Elminster, his garish costume, and attempts at trying to be an entertainer, you could assume Volo is a Harper in disguise and is therefore more competent than he appears (he isn't a Harper or competent, but it is a logical assumption).
Now as players with access to outside meta-knowledge we know he's a second rate Wizard who gets most of his information from tall stories told by drunken adventurers in bars and that his interactions with Elminster are mostly the latter calling out Volo on all the BS he writes, but that's information most characters wouldn't have unlike the three points listed above, which most academics would know.

A classic one is the battle against Rubicante in Final Fantasy 4. He's the Fiend of Fire (or Archfiend, or Autarch, depending on which version you play). He's red, wearing bright red outfits with a fancy red cape, and his attacks are pretty much all fire-based. You don't have to be a veteran of JRPGs to think "using fire magic against this guy would be a bad idea." And yet, it's oddly a great idea in all phases of the fight. See, Rubicante is a big believer in a fair fight. If you hit him when his cape is down with even the weakest fire attack in the game, yes, you'll heal him a pittance, but he insists on responding in kind, throwing a strong heal back onto your entire party. But when he pulls his cape up, his elemental affinities flip, and he somehow becomes weak to fire attacks.

A famous example is cross-examining a parrot, a literal bird, during a tense trial where you're tying to save your rival from being framed for a murder he didn't commit. If you get too many you turn into a zombie for about 30 seconds, attacking other raids members. If however you get one stack you are protected from Forgall's Megadeath spell. The issue is that the first two times he casts Necropurge there is no Megadeath follow up, so you need to avoid those overs entirely.

Anyway, as a young pally, I realized I could not get through that rough zone without a rogue (to unlock the doors etc). Once we got to a waterfall where we had to jump down, etc, (which there was a small pool that you wouldn't die in if you landed) I "divine aura'd" (invinciblity for 15s) and jumped down making it safetly. Cave Story. There's a point in the game where you see Professor Booster teleport into the room you're in and fall down a pit. If you go down and help him he gives you a jetpack and then dies, which also locks you into the bad ending. If you want him to live so you can get the games best ending you have to ignore him and jump over the pit. He'll eventually get out on his own, complete his work on the jetpack he would have given you if you followed him and then give it to you later in the game. There are still a few other ways to lock yourself out of the best ending, but leaving one of your allies to die is the most counterintuitive step in reaching that ending.

Lady Y is on the short list of Bosses who are not immune to Zombie.
Seriously in the original you could just cast Zombie on her and than just chuck a Phoenix Feather at her face for a two move win!

That Skyrim location has to be an Assassin’s Creed reference, SURELY. It was the first thing I thought of when I got there. Never tried jumping off, though… (No piles of hay anywhere!)

      Assassin's Creed - 2007
      Skyrim - 2011
If nothing else, the timing seems reasonable.

Core Keeper crystal meteor: you can find a meteor in the desert biome of the caves and just getting near it will give you radiation that slowly kills you. If you are stubborn enough to endure the slow death you can mine the meteor for a chunk of it. The chunk can be carried around and while it debuffs your defense it makes you and your allies attack stronger along with giving off a decent amount of light. Oh and the item description says you are suffering from radiation poisoning still as long as you hold it.
