Pokemon evolution has been one of the most beloved mechanic since we first witnessed it in Pokemon Red and Blue, but have you ever thought to yourself about a time where you wouldn't want to evolve your Pokemon? Not because you like the design, but for a extremely valid reason? Well, in this video I go over the Top 10 Pokemon that you would probably rather not evolve; ranging from mere-weaklings to pseudo-legendary Pokemon. What will be on this list? Find out now! Items like Eviolite and Light Ball don't double/boost the base stats, they boost the stats the Pokemon has in the game itself, which makes these items 20x times better :)
That's why Azumarill is so good in Competetive because it basically gets a Sword Dance for free with its ability. (Otherwise it would have a 100 base attack which would be mediocre at best)
Just saying, Trubbish can be evolved while keeping it's 'Tool Drop" with the Shrine of memories.
Shiny Magcargo is what regular Magcargo would look like in real life.

@@Speed001 We haven’t seen all fire combinations (with no added things to change color) as we can only reach certain temps. The Dex says it’s literally hotter than the sun, it’s color is the estimated color of that temperature as we’d see it (our view would be wrong as it’s actually outside our color range).
It’s shiny is based off of nothing actually, prior to gen 6 shiny coloring was just determined by a palette swap

For the TCG pick, it should really have been the Night March archetype, mostly through Joltik and Pumpkaboo. Night March was, at its time, one of the strongest decks in the format, and evolving these pokemon would make them lose the Night March attack. So yeah, that

I noticed that too. Abra can learn hidden power fight, though, and THAT would be the one to use.
Well I don’t know. Houndour is a dark type and dark is super effective against psychic, so if Houndour gets even one hit in, it almost definitely wins. Abra would have to one shot him on the first turn.

I had the game when I was little, but I couldn't read English at the time (not my native language), and every time a Pokemon wanted to evolve, there was something written about pressing B, so I kept pressing B every time... yeah, I thought I had to mash that button to get a chance of evolving my Pokemon, so naturally... I never evolved any Pokemon.

Actually, Shiny Magcargo makes a lot of sense being violet/pinkish: You know that there's is the concept of colour temperature, stating that a thing of a certain temperature would emit light of a certain wavelength and thus appear in a certain colour. Since Magcargo has a super high body temperature it would actually emit light in the violet spectrum. And that's why it's actually the best pink shiny there is. It's still a pink shiny though...
The only Pokémon I ever found use of the everstone for, Vigoroth. Genuinely interested if anyone else does the and when playing gen3. Always loves sloth’s so I liked slaking but slaking just seemed shitty to me. Losing a whole turn might be worth it if the stats were doubled but slakings star bonus compared to vigoroth isn’t even that much. Plus vigoroths crazy high speed mixed with generally decent stats makes him a good Pokémon, however when combined with his ability to negate sleep moves like hypnosis and sleep powder make for easy wins in battles that can often be either genuinely difficult or just plain frustrating
I think shiny magcargo needs more credit, looks more purple then it does pink to me and purple fire is dope af. Never had one but id take it over shiny bidoof anyday

You would also want to hold Shroomish's evolution until lv 40. Then it learn spore which can put to sleep with 100 accuracy. Breloom doesn't ever learn this move. When you finally get Breeloom with spore you'll get a excelent pokemon hunter for shiny hunts or the like. Breloom can learn false sweep and can have technician as Hidden ability which made it more effective. You can also give a silk scarf and teach it sword dance if you want to be in the safe side.

I’m sure this has been pointed out, but Dobbs multiplying a stat with light ball or eviolite is not just increasing the base stat, but the number itself.
For example, with a light ball, pikachu’s Special attack becomes the equivalent of a 150 base special attack, not 110. Doubling the stat doesn’t double the base, it’s a more complex formula than that.
isnt it dependent n the stat, for example doublade turns to q 225 def cause 150 times 1.5, but other times, for example with idk honedge, eviolite gives it 150, evs and ivs are taken into account, but 31 ivs at level 100 i think just adds 14bst to every stat, and evs can add up to 32 bst?

I have a Shiny Magcargo in my Ultra Moon game that I caught legit in the Ultra Worm Hole and its usual fiery red-orange is a lavender color so it really looks like a glob of paint when shiny! I love Shiny Magcargo. It was my first legit caught shiny in my Ultra Moon game so it is very near and dear to me in that game! Lol

This is truly how OP mega pseudo-legends are.
I have a friend who straight up wishes every starter Pokemon line ended at the middle stage. So far the only exceptions have been Venasaur and Primarina as the only final stages she likes, and then the few starter lines she just fully dislikes in their entirety.

9:18 I don't think that's how prankster works. I was under the impression that it increases the priority by 1, from -6 to -5.
He did word it incorrectly, but the example strategy he mentioned still works - Roar doesn't become a +1 priority move, but Copycat does, which will copy Roar during its own priority slot.
I believe that Joltic/Pumpkaboo with Nightmarch for the TCG one would be a better pick.

In it's pokedex entry it says Mega Houndoom suffers from its horns hurting it. I wouldn't want to hurt a doggo. I don't care it has "doom" in it's name, it's still a good boy which doesn't deserve to suffer

That's not how move priority works with Prankster. Prankster gives status moves +1 priority, meaning it goes up one stage in the priority bracket. So Roar would go from -6 priority to -5 priority.
If you ever feel like doing a theme battle you better try this blaziken set out. When used correctly you will go super insaiyan.

The reason shiny magcargo is pink is because in its pokedex entry it is apparently nearly 3x hotter than the sun and when magcargo comes out of the poke ball a huge explosion is supposed to occur and it makes magcargo pink so its shiny does make sense. Shiny slugma is cooler though.

Speaking from the earliest generations, I kept a Haunter, because I liked it’s sprite way more than Gengar. I loved in Silver how you could get a ghastly so quick, I made my Haunter my ‘starter’ and kept his lv higher than my others 👍🏻
