Adele i just love you! Did you ever teach secondary art elementary or middle school? You are so detailed and thorough with your explanations and you r enthusiastic attitude is so cute and contagious. You just remind me of an elementary art teacher in how you present your lessons. I mean that as a huge compliment in your teaching skills. obviously, your skill level far exceeds elementary school. But it takes real talent to teach young children in a fun way that excites them and if your not well you should be. The schools need art educators like yourself. You make creating art so not intimidating and from watching your videos i realize how much i overthnk, overwork, and stress about my process. I end up ruining every piece because of this issue. From watching you create I think my biggest takeaway is that I need to simply simplify simplify. Thank you!
Oh my gosh I asked how you painted the flowers last week, and you showed us today! Thank you so much. I copied your flower paintings and did a large canvas of my own. It has my added flair to it but I LOVE my painting so much. It’s now hanging in my bedroom. I hope it’s ok to do my version but copying yours. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Judy
Judy, I am so glad you asked to show how to do the flowers because that is why I made this video. I am thrilled you created something you love and have it up in your house. Please feel free to create anything similar to mine and put your spin on it. That is one reason I am doing these videos, to encourage just that. 🌸
This looks deceptively simple but I will try it! When you make the much longer video I am hoping you make, it would be wonderful to hear you talk about shape, design, placement, composition Etc. Not asking much am I?!😆 I'm learning so much from your clear instructions and demos.
How cute are you. 😘 I really do like to know specifically what you want me to talk about so I can plan for it. Shape, design, placement, composition will be coming, as well as a longer video! 🌸🌸
Lovely painting! I have just subscribed. You give more practical advice in such a short time!!! Thanks so much. I really like the colors you have used in this painting. Its time for me to stretch myself and use some neutral tones. I seem to always go for the bright colors. Very inspiring video!
Thanks Valerie. That is precisely what I aim to do, share practical information in short segments so you can easily add them to your artistic toolbox. 🌸
I love it and am I going to try something like this. I have a question: before you start, the paper seems to be all white, but at the end, when you remove the tape, the bottom looks like pale brown...
WOW! Every time I watch one of your videos I think.... Now this one is my favorite..... Hard to pick, but I think THIS ONE is my favorite! What colors did you use? Background color? Yellow?
Hi Adele I thought you were using acrylic paints, even though I am sure they would do well, is watercolor a better option? Just love it all the same and have to have a go, thank you so much.xx
The china marker stays where you put it unless you either paint over it or erase it. Because it is water resistant it doesn’t bleed when water goes over it. It is one of my favorite tools. 🌸
Adele, this is such an inspiring video and a beautiful result. I'm going to have a go myself - would it be best to still use a raw umber base if I was going to use pinks? I was thinking a charcoal grey also for the base? Cheers, DEB T (NZ)
i would add a bit of yellow ochre with the raw umber to make it a warm color which would go well with the pinks. Good luck and let me know what you come up with. 🌸
I love to see the way you teach

Thank you so much. 🌸
When you mix a lot of paint for a large painting, how do you keep it from drying out?
I love your videos! Could you mention what colors you are using at the beginning, please?
Thanks! It looks like a combination of burnt umber (which I use in almost every piece I make), white, and some yellow ochre.
Love it Adèle! Will come to Round Top this week.
Wonderful. Can’t wait to see you. 💗
So lovely and feminine! Thank you! May I ask if you put any finishing coats on these?
Yes, I use GAC 800 in thin layers depending on what finished look I want
Memerising jst luvd it m gonna try it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yay! So good to hear. Try it and let me know how it works for you. 🌸

Very sweet, thanks. For the background color I used a mix of raw umber, white and a very small amount of yellow ochre. Hope this helps. 🌷
I
Thanks for that. I know exactly what the flower parts are now. 🤩🌸
Hi Adele I thought you were using acrylic paints, even though I am sure they would do well, is watercolor a better option? Just love it all the same and have to have a go, thank you so much.xx
What kind of tape is that? It seems so easy to pull without rip the paper. Thanks a lot! Very inspiring video!
Will the marking you did with the china marker be permanent?
LOVE this video!
The china marker stays where you put it unless you either paint over it or erase it. Because it is water resistant it doesn’t bleed when water goes over it. It is one of my favorite tools. 🌸
@@AdeleSypesteynStudio Thank you!
Just wonderful! Would you finish this with a spray or brush on protective coat?
Hi Joyce, you could finish with either but I use a matte or gloss medium.🌸
Adele, what paper did you do this one, was it kept plain or did you preprint or tint wash it ?
It’s beautiful Adele 💙
I didn’t prep this paper at all. It’s 140 lb. watercolor paper. 🌟
Thank you for sharing! Do you apply the background paint with a brush? If i may ask…. It came out beautiful!
Yes, I painted the background color all over with a brush. 🌸

This is beautiful! Did you use canvas paper or heavy watercolor paper?
Thanks so much for your comment. For this one, I used watercolor paper.
Thanks
Thank you for watching. 🌸
