4 Days Wild Camping, Packrafting and Fishing in the Scottish Wilderness

- Join us on an epic 4-day wild camping, packrafting, and fishing adventure in the last wilderness of Scotland! From challenging hikes over rugged terrain to paddling through pristine lochs, we pushed ourselves to the limit in one of the most remote areas of the country. Our heavy backpacks were loaded with everything we needed: packrafts, paddles, camping gear, and enough food to sustain us for four days.
Portaging long stretches and hiking upstream at times, we connected four lochs over four days. We even stashed our gear to tackle a strenuous 6-hour summit hike, rewarded with breathtaking views from the top.
Camping in dream spots, surrounded by serene landscapes, we enjoyed fantastic fishing for brown trout-some of which made it into our pan to supplement our calories. The journey wasn’t without its challenges, as we faced a crazy amount of ticks and a thrilling thunderstorm on the third night. Sitting under our tarp, drenched but grinning, we couldn't help but revel in the wild beauty around us.
This adventure was an unforgettable experience with my buddy Matt from @ADVENTUREISMADE Don’t miss this incredible journey through Scotland’s last wilderness! Watch now and join us in the heart of the wild.

Wow, standing ontop of that mountain 😮 what a view and a golden eagle as well. So lucky Eze. Great vid as always, thanks for the upload

An enjoyable watch, more ticks than midge, you timed it right!
haha yeah would have been worse with the midge... I guess!! not sure this time.. !
Awesome adventure Eze. I enjoyed that heavy rain and you both caught some beautiful trout 👍
Thanks my buddy!

Thanks for watching!
Nice relaxing video, thank you!
Thanks matey! was going for less talking on this one, glad it came across that way :-)
Watching from the US, this is absolutely beautiful! The drone footage (and your choice of music) from your summit was pretty epic. But the ticks...😦
Thank you very much for watching !! Thank you yes all very epic, except the ticks... man they are still itching me now!
Loved the tranquility of this one buddy, so jealous you got to see the northern lights!
Thanks bud honestly were very faint with the naked eye, only realised it after looking at the photo the next morning!
22:00+ min mark was AMAZING. ⛰️
Thank you!
Nice film of the motherland pal. Thank you for being respectful and setting a good example. Many places are being over run due to social media. So glad we have midgie's. The guardian angels of the highlands
sending many home to never return.
Breaks my heart to see the skies in such a state. Nothing natural about that.
Motherland indeed! Totally agree re midges and ticks, guarding the highlands, love that.
What do you mean re broken heart and skies? The aurora lights ? It's a natural thing isn't it?
Cheers matey
Thanks for the nice reply pal. With regards to the weather im not talking about the aurora but the weather manipulation/cloud seeding which has been relentless of late and not just in Scotland but all over this earth. Very hard to talk about on this platform. This comment may not even be seen. Not the clearest of examples but around the 2:20 mark you can see the clouds are being manipulated by HAARP frequency. (Just google HAARP clouds and compare) The powers that shouldnt be and are never seen are manipulating the weather through chemtrails and HAARP on an almost daily basis. What astounds me is how many of the outdoor/connected to nature type of people including farmers dont or cant see whats happening and shut you down for being a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist. Its being mentioned more in the main stream corporate media lateley(damage control) and soon have to be admitted. People wont believe anything until the tell-lie-vision tells them its so. Screens and their projections have become the gods of the masses and this is a very dangerous situation to be in.
Sorry for the long reply but I must do what I can do and speak what I can see and hopefuly make a small difference. This is effecting all life. All the best and keep doing what you are doing. Inspiring people to get out in the wild and live life.
You tube are manipulating views and hiding likes and coments.

Thanks so much my Ozzie buddy! His video should be coming out soon too :-)
Stunning eze, u do get about and find all theses breath taking places. Nice to see you out with matty again. Didn’t envy you and all those ticks 😮. It was lovely to see those northern lights I also stayed up late with the camera. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Maxx

Espectaculares paisajes.
Class as always lads 👏🏼😁

What an amazing trip man! The brown trout we amazing, the ticks not so much. Surprised the tick was still walking around over you pulled it out 😮
I see it rains on you too 🤣🤣🤣⛈️⛈️⛈️
Haha you're not the only with the superpowers !! :-)
You got some mint footage up there Eze. Great to see you both out together in such a fantastic environment. I've used a couple if those campsites too. Beautiful place. We were there April last year n had perfect conditions n just before the ticks livened up.
Nice one lads, happy adventuring
Atb Rick n Billydog
Cheers Rick, I'm definitely more inclined to go there earlier next time, heck even in the SNOW to avoid those buggers lol!
it's really fun to watch
Thanks for letting me know, I appreciate that!
Epic upload Eze, love your chatter but this was also good with less chat, sometimes all you need is nature to see and hear. Appreciate your hard work. Love Scotland and the surrounding areas 😊
Glad you enjoyed it, yes exactly, wasn't feeling very talkative on this one and I felt the scenes and the nature were telling the whole story well !
Watching this right now mate 👍❤️
Yeah buddy!
The landscape at 1:55 doesn't look at all real. Too beautiful!
you're right!!
I have been in the Assynt area and fished many of the accessible lochs, but would never take on the lochs you visited, well done guys. The last time I visited 30 years ago I fished Cam, Veyitie, Urigill, Borralan and little Loch Awe, great fishing and the pub was great too. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Jim!
Great video Eze

Hi Eze your videos are superb I fished that first loch in 2001 to get round the foot and mouth restrictions at that time from my own area of Ayrshire/galloway the fishing was brilliant wish I had time to climb the hill the defensive wall up there looked impressive
on your video.
Can’t wait for the next one cheers.

Just came across this vid! What a great adventure! Can't beat a 4 day trip in Scotland with some beautiful views! Lovely filming and cracking edit +1 sub 👍thank you
Totally agree! Thanks matey keep up your good work too on your channel 🙂
Nice trip Eze! Epic view after the climb, beauty fish and I was wondering when the rain was going to show up.... Didn't realize there are so many ticks out there.
Thanks buddy, the ticks caught us by surprise... we didn't expect that many at all!
another amazing video cant get enough of them. cant wait to explore more of my home country this year and fishing! wish i had your editing skills lol!
Thanks 👍 my friend! Hope you get out there to explore and enjoy beautiful nature!! The editing skills come with practise, I started with zero skills. If I can do it, you can do it!
looked like an awesome few days! Northen lights, hiking, fishing, a slow worm and plenty of beautiful scenery ticked 🕷 really hope to get myself up Suilven soon, love its prominence over the surrounding area, you got some beautful views!
Thanks Paulie !! absolutely stunning area. the tick situation is definitely something to watch out for, not sure what preventative measures can be taken, but they must be taken.
to be honest the northern lights were barely visible with the naked eye, I woke up took some photos and fell asleep, only the next day I realised looking at the photos that there was something there !
@@EzeAdventurer ticks are a nuisance! I just tuck everything in and apply deet if I need to, doesn't help if you're sleeping with a dog 😂 the lights were probably obstructed by the cloud, it was the most active night for over twenty years.
@@EzeAdventurer Im no expert but i live local in the highlands so quite used to all the ticks/midge etc. Best to slightly twist when pulling them out :) As its much more likely if pulling them straight out their head can get stuck inside and thats a cause of lime disease!. Lavender is rare in scotland but if found it does have anti Tick properties and can stuff them in the top socks to avoid them from crawling up your legs. But anyways great video man nice seeing familiar places :)
@@Neil.c04 Thanks for the tip, definitely should have been twisting, and ideally with a tick removal tool. Awesome land, my hear belongs to Scotland...
@@EzeAdventurer I enjoy watching your videos a lot and has motivated me to try what you do! Tick removal tool probably does the job the best!
Wow, what beautiful country! You sure were a tick magnet! lol I couldn't believe how many you had, crazy. I have had a few but you probably had more than I have in my last 10 years! haha! Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure. :) :)
hahah I had only had a couple previously so it definitely caught me by surprise too!!
Nice one Eze, Assynt is a stunning location i love it up there . The brown trout fishing is brilliant and the mountains are stunnning , Suilven is so impressive . A bit of a tick nightmare you had ..Cracking video , cheers Stevie ..new sub
Thanks Stevie welcome aboard buddy!
Looked an amazing trip! Those ticks looked horrendous! 😳
Surprised to see others on top of the mountain
yeah stunning area, there were a few others, but we got a quiet moment to ourselves

Great video as always eze . I'm actually heading to the same place in June. So you beat me to it! Lol but lucky you dude on seeing eagle . I'm up Scotland 3 times this year so hope I see one in natural place .
Enjoy mate you're in for a treat - just beef up your ticks / midges game mate. The ticks are seriously out of control. Leaves you itching for over a week

really enjoyed this one matey, looking forward to reliving it when you post your video, and also to a larger epic adventure together in the future :-)
@@EzeAdventurer haha I know mate. Cheers bud, hopefully have it done this week 😁 Definitely, going to be epic for sure!!
I'm still itching from the tick bites (over 100 estimated)!
Amazing video as always! Would be really nice to give a bit more insight regarding the location(s) and how to get there. But that said, I have enjoyed this video as I do wit all of your videos! Keep it up!
Thanks much for watching! definitely kept it more quiet on this one , let nature and the scenes do the talking for once... I don't disclose some locations as I feel it'd be irresponsible to do so, given the unfortunately high number of people that just camp and trash places... :-(
Love Suilven and that area. I was almost up there last week, but sadly didn't get the time.
stunning area isn’t it
@@EzeAdventurer yeah, love it!
Regarding ticks, have you tried taking garlic capsules?
@@AndyMacaskillSecond person to memtion garlic! How much in advance do you need to do that?
@@EzeAdventurer I'm not sure. I just take 4000mg daily. You could probably start it 2 days before your trip and it would be effective.
@@AndyMacaskill wow that would be epic! Does it affect your breath smell?

The best! Scotland 🏴
Great production, first one of yours i have watched. Beautifully filmed and excellently paced editing and perfect music. Gunna watch some more! Craig - Doco maker of 35 years :-) ps: where is Matt from ? Do i detect a Teesside accent?!
Welcome aboard buddy!! Appreciate it! haha yeah he's from very close to there!!!
Can you get Ugly Stik fishing rods over there (made by Shakespeare)? They’re almost unbreakable compared to average rods.
The trout looked delicious but Ramsay would tear you apart over that risotto 😂
hahah the risotto needed to be more moist or something? I left it too long maybe as I tried to catch more fish! Yeah I have that rod on my wish list, but I don't need it for now. I love my little cheap rod, telescopic, packs away so easily, does the job
Hi Eze, just started watching your videos about a month ago and love it! You have a real calm vibe and a great respect and appreciation for nature and life. Just wondering how good (or bad😁) the coconut milk is though?
Thanks for watching! The coconut milk is delicious!! seriously give it a solid 9 out of 10. Especially when it's warm! Matty loved it too. Can;'t recommend it enough, FULL of calories at like 700 calories per 100g !!
@@EzeAdventurer Thanks, I'll give it a go
Hi, great stuff as always. I’m planning on going camping in early June for 4 days in the Highlands, probably around Glen Affric. I’m not really sure what sleeping bag to bring. I was looking at a RAB with comfort at -7 thinking it was overkill but could use for future trips but now I saw you took a 5c comfort bag… Is 5 clearly enough? Thanks
oh man that's totally overkill! Even this bag was slightly too warm for me on this trip!! Nothing worse than a too warm bag, I'd recommend yes a 4-5c comfort one for spring, summer and a -5c around that for winter.. please note the insulation (sleeping pad) arguably plays a larger role than the bag itself. I have a thermarest x-therm with HUGE R-Value of like 7.3 or something, which means in the colder months, barely ANY cold seeps from the ground up. This essentially BOOSTs the capacity of the sleeping bag, at the very least it maintains its TRUE comfort rating. Also Rab / thermarest are accurate with comfort ratings, some brands bullshit you there so beware.
Hi Eze, as always, I thouroughly enjoyed this vlog. Loved your little bracelet ;) Wanted to ask where you get your music from.
Thanks so much!! I stand with Israel 🇮🇱.

Hi eze what a cracking video where exactly was this as I’m interested looks and was amazing I know its Scotland but where if you don’t mind me asking ,you seem to capture the most amazing shots from the drone and on foot the eagle at the beginning was awesome what a fantastic sight to see I’ll need to check your buddies channel out, always good to have a friend with you just in case as you will know what I mean those ticks man you were covered what can I say just love your content man keep it up take care and god bless have a great day 👍👌❤️⛺️⛺️🚣🏻🚣🏻🚣🏻
thanks so much buddy look around the IV27 postcode area, close to Suilven
@@EzeAdventurer thanks mate 👍
When do you think you picked up all those ticks? That looked rough. Sometimes you'll get one embedded and it can be extremely painful to remove with tweezers, I still have the scars to prove it. That's why everyone should be carrying a proper tick remover, not just tweezers, it looks like a little plastic lever but you actually twist the tick out. It works on those really bad embedded ones without causing any more damage to your skin.
Throughout the whole area, but mostly when walking through the tall grasses etc!! Yeah def tick removal tool coming next time !
Favorite Adventure Channel. When you going Full-time, Eze???
Thanks you legend! I don't think I could EVER support my family with TH-cam alone...
But the idea is hopefully work in a way that allows me enough downtime to run with TH-cam as far as I can take it!
@@EzeAdventurer I totally understand - In order to make that happen, I'd look into corporate sponsorships or even becoming a business partner for a niche survival product. Maybe a Eze Blend survival Food!???! Eze blend Survival Electrolyte??? I really think that could be the pathway to profitability and more adventures :)
@@jasonallinder9916 Thanks buddy appreciate the confidence vote!!

It would be great if you included the name of the mountain you climbed; which looks freaking amazing! Names of lochs...general area. Just a few basic geographic bullet points.
Thanks I tried to keep this one to little talking, letting nature do most of it.. the mountain was Suilven, stunning area, usually unforgiving with weather and winds from the West.
How did you get there in the first place walking the hole way ?
We drove significant distance, about 2-3 hours NW from Inverness
You definitely don't need to filter fresh water 💦 in Scotland. Also the ticks won't bother you if you eat raw 🧄 garlic regularly.
I agree re the water! I don't filter many times, but I scooped up some water and there were a couple of little bugs swimming around, which put me off that time. Good tip re garlic... although may breath may become lethal eh? lol
@@EzeAdventurer The bugs adds protein...and the garlic 🧄 keeps away vampires 🦇
@@Globetrotter-1 Perfect! lol
Completely wrong. In fact you couldn't be more wrong. All water sources in the highlands can contain harmful bacteria, rotting plants, minerals, natural or man-made chemicals, as well as dirt and there is a risk of Weils disease from rat pee in still water (one good reason never to drink beer from the bottle in a pub is that rats may live in the cellar where the bottles are stored) and the even more unpleasant Cryptosporidiosis. Just because it looks nice and fresh and you are all full of enthusiasm because you are on a walk doesn't mean it is. I worked for Northumberland water so I know what I'm talking about. So please dont give out any more 'advice' as you'll get somebody very ill.
@@urbanbowman61 What a load of waffle and completely wrong. I've been drinking unfiltered fresh water from the lakes, rivers and streams for 66-years and never, ever had a problem. In fact most of the people I know do not use filters. Also most of the farms I know in the mountains have been drinking untreated water supplied direct to their homes for many generations. Just because you're fearful of everything under the sun, doesn't mean that it's right. 😂
And by the way...I ALWAYS drink beer direct from the bottle. Rats 🐀 give it more flavour.
What watch are you using?
Garmin Tactix 7 bud
Hi Eze, how are you enjoying the rebel 2k? looks like a cool packraft, no option to buy it here in the US I believe?
Love it. Super happy with it!! I think they ship worldwide.. I think it's still worth it. You'll pay the price without VAT, but then pay duties and taxes on import, which may still turn out good price in total..
@@EzeAdventurer I may need to reach out to them directly, tried to check out with it in my cart but didn’t allow shipping to US. It looks like a great raft at 2kg - looks like a great option since I don’t have a canoe personally.
