Love the video, just trying to work out where it is. I was on Skye last week with the good weather and barely seen a midge. Skye midges are the most vicious so it was a proper treat to enjoy the sun and hike the bad step ☀️

Did that walk last week, really enjoyed it. Stopped at the loch you camped at for some lunch and a bit of fishing (1 trout 👍) then up to the summit and back down the other path to make it a circular walk

It's actually called Murder Hole simply because it was 'moved' there under artistic license for a book I forget the name of. The actual Murder Hole was I think a well into which the bodies of mugging victims were thrown.

The midges are the bane of my hiking existence, I cannot stand them and ruines it for my some of the time. Apparently "Avon skin so soft" moisturiser is amazing and they stay away from you if you put it on so ill need to try it.

Thanks buddy, I agree, that's why I don't mention or post any locations on my trip. I still think it's possible to produce content like this to inspire others to get outdoors and feel nature for themselves. Regardless of location etc. One thing I believe: "You can't protect what you don't know". I think if more people got outdoors and experienced what me and you experienced, they world would likely be a better place, with more willing to take action to protect the "wilderness" we have left.
Sorry, but unfortunately it does inspire idiots from towns and cities who don't respect or look after the countryside. Leave their junk behind , toilet waste , tents , empty drink products etc etc It's shocking what they do to the countryside .... Don't go if you can't look after it.
@@EzeAdventurer on balance I'm sorry but I can't agree. If we want to protect these places our best chance is not to promote them. Maybe it feels like the least worst option but it's the right one. I strongly believe we have a new form of litter, digital litter, left by people who may in some cases have good intentions but are primarily following some kind of narcissistic trip. The younger generation are particularly prone to it. It's as if they don't feel they actually exist unless they offer up everything they do to the electronic ether.

Hello mate, I use an Exxon 48 and I find it's just the right size for me. I would encourage you to look for a smallish backpack like you're saying around 45-50L to encourage you to pack thoughtfully and keep it lightweight. I would say that if you're not filming, you should be fine with a 45L but will be snug. Perhaps a 50 or 55L could be also worthwhile to allow for future longer adventures, or winter gear taking up more room etc. If your bag is synthetic, it will occupy a lot more space than if it's a down bag etc. Still, keep gear down to a minimum for lowest weight, and maximum enjoyment! If you're unsure wether you'll need it, chances are you don't need it!

Can I ask what sized backpack you tend to use on 1-2night solo trips? Is 45L too small to carry tent/sleeping bag/pad/clothes/food etc?
Hello mate, I use an Exxon 48 and I find it's just the right size for me. I would encourage you to look for a smallish backpack like you're saying around 45-50L to encourage you to pack thoughtfully and keep it lightweight. I would say that if you're not filming, you should be fine with a 45L but will be snug. Perhaps a 50 or 55L could be also worthwhile to allow for future longer adventures, or winter gear taking up more room etc. If your bag is synthetic, it will occupy a lot more space than if it's a down bag etc.
Still, keep gear down to a minimum for lowest weight, and maximum enjoyment! If you're unsure wether you'll need it, chances are you don't need it!

There are some comments which tell you the general area then you can work it out from the shape when the drone gets high. It's shape is distinctive in Google maps.
