    This is the most helpful video I have seen on TH-cam for Mazda 6 thanks for help

    More manufacturers should offer a v6 option in these kind of sedans. I mean this year Mazda 6 has a 4 banger, 4 banger turbo and a v6. And comes in auto and manual. Everyone should be doing this. An option for everyone

    You just went passed the most important part, that is removing the starter. 🤦

    I have a question. It's not about the starter. You have the exact same car so I'm homing you know. I'm looking for the turbine speed controllers. I've searched the top, sides, front, back, bottom and I can not seem to find it. I've seen many other models and theirs are so easy to find but for some reason, they aren't in the same place. I was getting desperate and watched your video to check and see if you had them under your starter before actually pulling mine to check.

    Great video but quick question I got a new starter and it has a gasket on it, does the gasket stay on or do I take it off before installing it?

    • @munnday86

      Mine didnt come with a gasket... I didnt use one.

      😅 I'd say have it on so it'll seal up any leaks and the component won't interfere with the motor ie. Seal tight/rust against each other n so..

    Is there a difference in the replacement between a 2.3 L and 3.0 L? Thanks!

    • @munnday86
      @munnday86  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Henry Romero yes i believe there is a big diffrence.

    • @RexiLCS
      @RexiLCS 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah alright lol, my car won't crank at all now and I believe it's the starter, but since mine is a 2.4 L, do you think it is still in the same spot (the spot of the starter) as your car? Thanks!

    • @munnday86
      @munnday86  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Henry Romero just seen a video for a 2.3. Its located on the front of the engine.. Easy to access from the bottom once the splash guard is removed.

    I got a 2003 Mazda 6 V6 3L and the mechanic said it would take 8.5 hours labor to replace the starter. How long would you say this took you??

    My 2004 Mazda 6s 3.0L V6 has 131,500 miles, and my starter is still the original.

    • @munnday86
      @munnday86  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish you the best with your 6. I sold mine. Only had 115,000 miles on it. It had a bad timing chain cover leak and oil leaking from the power steering pump seal. It had too many oil leaks for that low of milage. I sold it and got a toyota sequoia with 209k it and doesn't leak any oil anywhere. I love the 6 but had too many oil leaks :(

    • @marlon94124
      @marlon94124 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@munnday86 I had oil leaks coming out of my valve cover gaskets and I had my cousin replace them for me. Everything else is fine, but I need to get a new alternator. I only use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W/20 motor oil. My car has the 5 speed manual transmission and what I love about my car is the leather interior, driving excitement, steering feel, brake feel, and handling. I hope someday I can upgrade my transmission to a 6 speed manual. I cannot let my car go just for minor problems because of the size of my garage and the size of my car is just perfect for trunk space and passenger volume. Also the street I living on is narrow.
