@@cd2_ GS - matches where you have a day of rest in between that are played in a best of 5 and have a bigger amount of pressure, importance, etc. We all know that Djokovic is something special there and the best version of himself, everything goes in his favour there, while Sinner is still to prove himself in those matches if he has enough focus, energy, physical and mental strength. I want to see how Sinner plays 5th set against Novak.

He’s always been in a far better position to hit off both wings and put less strain on his body over time. If a career spans 20 years and your running around your backhand to hit the forehand as often as possible the way Rafa and Roger did, overtime your gonna injure yourself. Etcheverry's GIANT backswing on both his serve and forehand? Physically he lasts another 2 to 3 years at this level, and that's my optimistic outlook. Players with huge backswings like this tend to burnout. Such and unnecessary and energetically costly way to hit. Akin to Tiafoe's ridiculous forehand backswing. Visions of Gulbis...wasted energy for the same output. This is exactly where Djokovic actually excels: pure efficiency in swing and movement, likely in thinking as well. Nearly as bad as Sharapova's ultra unnecessary high ball toss on the serve, but she had better groundstrokes for a female relative to the other players. Etcheverry's gain for all of this output, not better than other pros really at all. Why train someone to swing like this? Looks cool to the uneducated, but is extremely wasteful . As he gets older, develops more scare tissue in these joints, and energetically even now in long matches/tournament, this is a detriment for his allocation of physical energy.

Novak will soon bring to his A+ game. This is aus open and he knows every inch of the court. He is the king in this court Even nadal can't do any damage on djokovic. With That kind of game, sorry to say, sinner, danil, carlos has really slim chance to win the title.

Saludos.-

Didn’t like Tomas’ strategy here. So many opportunities to close out points at net. Needs to play higher risk tennis. You aren’t to going to grind Novak down. You’re not Medvedev. You need to be more aggressive than him and force him to pass you. Easier said than done but he just didn’t take the right approach at all here.
