*SPOILER ALERT* Has anyone noticed, after the movie, when the credit rolls and the actors names are shown with their respective characters, where characters who are very close to each other are shown side by side. Like Newt and Tina, Jacob and Queeni, Dumbledore and Grindelwald. So, i thought Credence and Nagini will be shown side be side. But, guess what, *NO*, Credence is shown alone in the credits. So, then I thought, okay, maybe Nagini will also be shown alone. But, again, Surprise! Nagini is not shown alone in the credits. *NAGINI IS SHOWN SIDE BY SIDE TO KAMA YUSUF* Also, in the movie, during the climax, where every one is fighting the blue fire. Like how Tina saves Jacob from the fire, *Nagini is saved by Kama Yusuf* the same way. All i am saying is, Is this detail a hint that in the upcoming story there is *something* between Nagini and Kama Yusuf?
@@dorotaallen9309 how did he have a tounge and talk through the movie -_- well he fixed it you fucking dolphin he's the thrid strongest wizard in history.
idk Google it that was uncalled for honestly just explain it calmly. And with an insult like “fucking dolphin” I can tell your intellectual capabilities are not high.
Johnny Depp makes Grindelwald believable. He displays the difference between Voldemort and Grindelwald perfectly. If you think about it, Voldemort rules by making people fear him, and they don’t buy into his agenda past gaining power for themselves or protection from the dark lord. Grindelwald made his follows fear the muggles, but not him, almost presenting himself as a humble and kind man. He also seems to display a certain level of approval for muggle born witches and wizards and seems to understand that inter marriage is vital for the magical kind. So he differs from Voldemort in that he is a master manipulator and Voldemort is more a racist man with a hair trigger temper and a lack of love. I just love the stark differences between the two characters
TBF I can’t blame him, I know his father was enslaved by merope (Voldemort’s mother) but aside from that he’s an actual prick of a human being, as he casts aside his son,has a very selfish personality and looks down on people because of his family and his rich lifestyle which is just disgusting
All the couples in this movie got hit in the heart. Newt and Tina: Tina thought Newt was engaged to Leta.....and of course their moment was beautiful and awkward. Queenie and Jacob: Not only did Queenie put an echantment on Jacob, but they argued AND Queenie joined Grindelwald and broke Jacob’s heart. Credence and Nagini: Credence joined Grindelwald and nearly got Nagini killed. Theseus and Leta: Ok there were lots of heartbreaking moments, especially in the flashback with Leta, where we found out that Leta returned Newt’s feeelings...but then fell in love and got engaged to his brother. Not too mention she shouted “I love you!” towards the brothers and lost her life, and personally I think it was for both Newt and Theseus, because we have proof that she once had feelings for both.
Jasmine Tran I think she was saying toward Newt for so many different reasons I know she was engaged to Theasus but that doesn't change the fact that she loved Newt and she did so many things to be with Newt in school I just have a stronger vibe of something that she was saying it towards Newt.
EJ Bice Yea it’s why I believe she said it to both. Because yes she had more experience with Newt, BUT if she didn’t love Theseus WHY WOULD SHE WANT TO MARRY HIM?
Jasmine Tran Yeah, I also believe the I love you is for the two brothers but more on Theseus. I feel like the movie wanted us to believe at first that Leta is still in love with Newt to create tension between Newt and Tina but at the end, the director’s like, just kidding! Leta’s really inlove with Theseus! What else could be the reason why they’re engaged? It’s just another plot twist.
Well, the pheonix didn't turn into it's full form itself. Grindelwald did something to it and it is likely he knows much stuff about phoenixes due to his past relationship to Albus Dumbledore. So another trick maybe?
Grindelwald definitely was lying. Why wasn’t the Phoenix following Credence everywhere? He was “in need” since the first movie. So Grindelwald did something sneaky.
My theory is that a part of Ariana's obscurous is in Credence, and so Grindelwald is talking to the obscurous, not Credence when he says "Your brother" or whatever... That might explain the pheonix, it's responding to the part of Ariana, not Credence
My theory: I think Grindelwald made "the Brother stuff" up cause he wants to get rid of albus dumbledore He thinks creedence can defeat dumbledore so that is why he is trying to set creedence up against dumbledore with lying about the dumbledore family mistreated him etc He actually pointed at this in the second movie if you're alert you will notice it
Even I had the same thought bro. Looks like even for Grindelwald, like Voldemort also, Dumbledore will be the only wizard they ever fear. . So mainly it's for stalling Dumbledore
I’m thinking it’s kinda somewhere in between. There is no way he doesn’t care about Dumbledore anymore but at the same time, he wants him gone, it’s not really that conflicting to feel both, so he could be keeping it for security AND sentiment.
Why Grindelwald needs to kill Dumbledore if he knows that Dumbledore CAN'T hurt him?? He could've conquer England if he'd wanted to, Dumbledore couldn't touched him.
The idea that Credence is Albus brother is completely nonsensical. If we consider the age difference between Dumbledore and Credence in this movie, this age difference must be at least 20 years. If we look at Dumbledore's timeline, this was when Dumbledore's father were in Azkaban and his mother had been killed by Ariana, since she died when Dumbledore had just gotten out of hogwarts. So there is no possible way that this can hold true. So Grindelwald must be lying, which I'm all for
@Booper Dooper I could definetely see Grindelwald lying or that the obscurial of Ariana latching onto Credence and that would therefore explain why he's the only obscurial known having lived past childhood. I definetely think the first is more likely though
I don't think Grindelwald likes Muggles. He's like wizard-Hitler by saying they are the superior race. He says that muggles have their own right to be but not so as the wizards. More like tools and slaves.
definitely not "wizard-Hitler" He doesn't hate muggles. He just wants that the wizards rule over all people including muggles and that the wizards and witches are no longer in hiding...
I totally agree with you on Queinee and Creedence story... I also think that Queniee is under imperius curse that's the only logical solution. Grindelwald needs her for legimacy, I think he charmed her after the scene in the house( and btw that teapot was trying to put Queniee a drink, that must be somekind of potion to get her, but she didn't drink, and that's why she stand against Grindelwald for first when he enter the room). And yeah the movie could have been a bit better, but I think that the greatest mistake in making this movie is that Rowling herself is writing a script and scenario... I think that she put so much things in one film, and she's keep forgeting that this is not a book :/
I didn't even care about queenie in the end, happens when you you try to write a movie like a book where some of the 20 subplots adon't really touch you
I loved that movie. I was crying when I left from the cinema. I agree with you about Credence and Albus. I don't believe that they are brothers. This relationship must be one of Grindelwald lies. PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO FOR LETA. I DIDN'T WANT HER TO DIE. She reminds me Snape, who sacrificed himself for the Wizarding World.
Μαρινα Σαμ. What if they’re not brothers but he is a Dumbledore? What if Credence is Ariana’s Son. We know that when she was young three muggle boys saw her doing magic and did “horrible things to her”, but thy never went into details. Whatever it was, it was enough to turn Ariana into an Obscurial. Perhaps she was raped? I know she was only 6, but maybe there’s some magic involved.
@@ethanartz3706 You have a point. We don't know what exactly these kids did to Ariana. So Credence can be her son. But I cannot believe that he is Albus' brother. It doesn't make sense.
Biologically speaking, humans (Muggles and Wizards alike) gain the ability to reproduce during 12-13ish.. Why can't they be cousins..?? Now we know that Albus' Grandpa had a Phoenix, and Phoenix keep on regrowing from their ashes, thus being immortal.. Do we know for sure how many kids did his grandfather have? All I believe is that Phoenix is Fawkes and it will shed its two strands of feather soon (just my theory, after all Tom and Harry share Fawkes' feather as their core to the wand)
@@vinodnaidu1993 I am 19 and I could give birth to a child since I was 9. So maybe Ariana could. As for the phoenix,I think you are right but I don't know. Is Credence a Dumbledore? It doesn't make sense.
@@wingardiun-leviosa If you say so, but six.. Let's not get into real life situation.. Let's see from story standpoint: 1) Credence aka Aurelius is a young adult at best.. Lets even consider him a 20.. 2) Ariana was 14 when she died, Dumbledore was 17 then.. Credence by that theory should already have been an 8 year old boy.. Jude Law, however, has mentioned that it's a 45-46 year old Albus we witness, so do the math.. 3) Just like Harry and Tom were descendents of the same bloodline (Peverells), it is a high possibility that they share their grandfather's blood, not father's or sibling's.. 4) Also, from a writing standpoint, why waste so much time on Credence origins if all Grindelwald was going to say was a lie..?
I disagree with people who have to say that this movie isn't good. And this video proves the complexity of the story. Seeing the wizarding world through better graphics and SPF was just... magically mind blowing. To me, that's enough to love this movie. But the story line was itself spectacular. I think this is a more mature angle of the wizarding world, for we see it through newt, and not harry, a young wizard who has just come of age. And morgan...you did it again! I am your biggest fan, and my only request to you : never stop making these wizarding world videos. I live for them.
I disagree with you completely. I thought this was by far the worst Harry Potter related movie lmaoooooo and I grew up reading the books and watching the movies. But hey if you liked it then good for you. We all have our own opinions. That's all that really matters. As long as you love something who cares what anybody else thinks lol. Just expressing my opinion
Sruthi Surendra the plot of the movie and action sevens are very well put and entertaining but I will admit there is a few glaring problems that “probably” cause people to hate the movie: 1)Appeparting in Hogwarts- It’s mentions god knows how many times in the books probably in each of them that hogwarts is enchanted to prevent apparation in or out of Hogwarts, but the ministry just apparate into hogwarts like they own the place. 2) Professor mcgonagol is shown in the movie prob as an Easter egg as a young teacher when I don’t even think she was born in the crimes of grindleward timeline, which makes doesn’t make sense. There is more but this shows that the developers ( I think Warner bros ) are always being true to the Harry Potter source material, however the movie was amazing in my opinion
Thank you for this! Liking the positive review. I’ve seen quite a few negative ones, but overall I enjoyed it a lot. There’s a lot that could potentially be plot holes or errors, but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt until future films come out. If handled correctly, the dumbledore plot twist could be great. But they have to be careful not to mess up any more timelines. They’re treading on thin ice. Only blatant timeline error that I hated was McGonagall.
Honeslty Mcgonagall didn't even bother me, the fact that Jacob retained his memory because all of a sudden only bad memories are affected bothered me, the fact that we see people apparating in and out of hogwarts constantly even though it's supposed to be impossible bothered me, the fact that newt used accio succesfully on the niffler even though Rowling herself said it was impossible to cast on any living object whatsoever bothered me, the fact that Newt, a zookeeper out of all people who honestly sucks at casting spells against other wizards is all of a sudden everyones last hope to defeat grindelwald bothered me, it feels so forced just to give the writers an excuse to have him as the hero, the fact that credence or corvus lestrange or aurelius dumbledore or whatever he is literally exploded the last movie but he turned out just fine bothered me. Honestly, what was the point of the first movie if every impactful moment like credence dying and jakob losing his memory and Grindelwald being captured is undone in this movie literally during the first 20 minutes. It's almost like they didn't realise they had to make a sequel to it at the time and now they were just like "it's rewind time". I usually don't have high standards when it comes to movies but I really hated this one, it was written like it was a book with 10 different subplots and 10 different points of view but that shit just doesn't work in movies. None of it made sense, no one could follow what was going on, it was a mess and most of all it was just extremely boring because of it. I just can't understand how people can unironically like this movie, Like I get different opinions exist but I really think there are just general concepts on how to make an actual movie that were just completely done wrong here.
Arvid Tonder Yes thank you, MovieFlame! I wanted to watch your video so thank you for the spoiler free part. I'll probably see the film tomorrow so I'll check the rest of your vid afterwards
Grindewald isn't holding the blood oath close as a memory of Dumbledore. He's keeping it close to keep it safe because it is leverage against Dumbledore.
My boyfriend and I just watched it! He wasn't a fan of Harry Potter of Fantastic Beast but he said the movie was epic and he's definitely in love with it. So glad I got your notification right after I got home, what a beautiful day!
@@anonymoushuman8443 Yeeeeessss! Such a good guy, even though not all muggles/no-majs are bad, and also if he wanted to stop the war, he could have just killed Hitler, to me he's more like Magneto and Killmonger if they have a child played by Captain Jack Sparrow
So I have quite a lot of problem with the movie... 1. As we know from the original series it is possible to perform nonverbal spells but I think there is just too much use of them. Of course the wizards in fantastic beast are mostly very talented and succesfull but even Voldemort and Bellatrix are mostly perfomrming their spells via saying it out loud. 2.An auror that uses an unforgivable curses?? If he wasnt under the imperius I dont know what to say... 3.I think there are too many new characters and all of them are introduced way to short. I mean Leta is briefly mentioned in the first movie but then she plays a huge roll in the second and dies. My understanding for this character comes mostly from your video about the life of Leta and not from the movies. Theseus Scamander is also briefly mentioned in the fist move but the complex and difficult relationship they have is not shown very much which is pretty disappoining since difficulties between brothers is a important topic in the original series. Who the hell is the woman that hepls Newt with the creatures in London? Where did she come from and why is it shown that she has feelings for Newt when her roll is so little? If you havent read the books you probably still know who Dumbledore is so it isnt that bad that he os not introduced at all but Nicolas Flamell... With the dark theme of the movie it clearly wants to be seen seperate from the HP movies but I think they relay way to much on the viewers knowledge of the original series. So they should have introduces Nicolas Flamell with a little bit of a backroungstory (Just like they did it with Slughorn in the movies). Naginis short introduction is okay since we will hopefully see more of her in the following movies but in this one she says like 7 words and 3 of them are Creadence... Not happy with her roll. 4. The backroundstory of Newt and Leta is too brief. When I think about the scenes of Snape and Lilly growing up I am touched and the dialoges show their feelings but Leta just stares at Newt all the time and seems more like a second Hermoine who is bullied for her scills rather than an haunted person with a dark secret. 5. To me it didnt seem like Grindlewald couldnt stand the baby dying but rather as if he simply didnt care and just let his followers do the dirty work. Which I also see in him swiching places in order too prevent HIS tongue to be cut out. 6. "I do not hate muggles,but..." doesnt seem like he actually means it. Sure it is a good point that he was shocked by WW1 but I do think he just developed the fanatic thought of wizards beeing more worthy than muggles. Sure he says otherwise but also he is just a carismatic leader who manipulates the peolpe ariund him. 7. Queenie loved Grindlewalds speech even though he said like 2/3 of the time how muggles are so different and just the last sentence was about love. If she isnt under the imperius I am pretty disappointed that she doent act like the Queenie we mwt and loved in the first movie. 8. Is it just me or are the wizards in FB way more powerfull that in the original series?? I mean walking as a part of the wall, gold dust to track down waht had happend at this place... Sure it isnt in conflict with the canon but I think it is just a little too much. 9. Quite a lot of use of Polyjuice Potion... Does everyonbe has a bottle of it in his pocket? 10. Why did the old woman in the ministerium attack Leta? Isnt she allowed to look up her own familytree? 11.The blood pact is clearly added to the canon and was invented just to build up another storyline and plottwist. Also am I completly wrong or didnt Dumbledore and Grindlewald already duel what ended up being the cause of Arianas death?? I am sure they vowed to never fight against each other beforehand so shoulndt they have died when fighting against each other right before Ariana died? 12.The age contradictions. As you mentoined McGonagall (she wasnt born then)and Dumbledore (1927 to 1943). Additionally the Dumbledore in the flashback of Nwet and Leta looks like the Dumbledore in 1927... 13. Why does Dumbledore teach defence against the dark arts when it is clearly mentioned in the original series that he just taught Transfiguration? 14. When did the wizarding wolrd decide that suits are out and long robes are in?? They are all dressed pretty muggely Those are just the main points... Dont get me wrong, I liked Johnny Depp as Grindlewald (despite his awfull haircut) and the movie was well made with amazing and impressing scenes but I am just really disappointed by the script...
Great points!! The movies are well made May be, but they don't have the magic that Harry Potter movies had. I just couldn't care about any of the characters actually.
Jabber Wocky Some points can be explained by the fact that Harry Potter was originally written for kids, and then the books and movies got darker and more complex as the audience grew up. That's why some things in HP are more simple or straightforward. Also, you don't see that much powerful magic in HP, at least in the first five books or so, because a lot of it takes place in a school where the main characters only learn the magic. The main characters in FB are very skilled wizards, on the other hand. Rowling tends to introduce new kinds of magic and magical means of transport in every book/movie to please the fans, while still using the ones she's already introduced. That's one of the reasons there's so many of them now. 2. The unforgivable curses might have only become unforgivable later - we never learned how long they've been illegal in the HP series. And remember, Barty Crouch had authorized their use during the first wizarding war with Voldemort. So they aren't always exactly unforgivable, strictly speaking :-) It seems to me that Dumbledore in The Crimes of Grindelwald has the same issue with the Ministry as he had during the first wizarding war and in HP and the Order of the Phoenix. Their use of unforgivable curses might be one of the reasons for that. 6. The audience is supposed to know that :-) After all, we'd heard him before saying privately that even muggles have their purpose... to be used as animals. Btw, it was WW2, not WW1, and it was a prophecy, not a memory. 7. Queenie loved Grindelwald's speech because if he got the upper hand, wizards would go out of hiding and there would clearly be no law about them not marrying muggles. Because the American ban on marrying muggles was introduced to make sure no-majes don't find out wizards exist. 9. The Polyjuice Potion makes sense - I mean, if I was a wizard "policeman" or a wizard spy, I would use it all the time! :-) It was used a lot in the later HP books, too. 10. Are you sure the old woman attacked Leta? I thought she attacked Newt and Tina? She was simply supposed to make sure nobody enters the archives who doesn't have a permit or something (and given the existence of Polyjuice Potion and that the archive might have contained sensitive information, the rule was enforced very harshly...) If I don't remember it correctly and she actually attacked Leta, might be she didn't have a permit to enter the archive, even though the family tree was hers. That's European bureaucracy for you :-D 11. There's a fan theory that seems plausible - that Grindelwald was actually duelling Aberforth, not Albus. Aberforth says so in The Deathly Hallows: "I had an unforgivable curse used on me by my brother's best friend!" Albus might have simply been using a shield charm, and a backfiring jinx might have killed Ariana. 13. There's also a fan theory, i.e. that Dumbledore was teaching Defence against the Dark Arts but after the ministry officials told him they didn't trust him, which we see in the movie, they forbade him to teach DADA. It would be logical, given that DADA is such a sensitive subject. 14. Most of the wizards are dressed pretty muggley in the HP movies, too. It's a difference between the books and the movies and I don't know why. Might be because it would have been difficult for the actors to move fast in the robes in the action scenes. Some of the things you mentioned actually aren't a problem with this movie but with MovieFlame's interpretation of it :-D But I agree with you, I loved the movie but the characters were introduced too briefly, plus there were too many of them. Hadn't we known and loved Newt and Tina and Queenie and Jacob since the first movie, I don't think we'd have been able to root for any of them. It looked to mee as if The Crimes of Grindelwald were originally supposed to be a bit more simple, but then, Rowling realized she must cram a lot of plot into them ir order for the later movies to work.
A lot of good points, but I also feel like a lot of it can be explained, or there are theories about it. I can't say I support your overall harsh review and list of 'problems' though because "The blood pact is clearly added to the canon and was invented just to build up another storyline and plottwist". Well, how do you think books/movies are made? The amazing thing with creating a fantasy world for yourself is that you can actually make up more plotlines as you go along, and I find it really pleasing as a fan to hear more about the characters and stories that I love. I'll agree the movie was a bit messy, but when I sit down and think about it, I love that there's a lot of information going on. It's like a new way of storytelling, not restricted to structural regulations that says you can't have this many storylines or characters in a movie or book. I just hope a lot of these early plotlines will flow and continue into the next movies, instead of all of the movies being plot twist after plot twist, I'll agree with that. I loved the movie. Peace.
I honestly think that Queenie is under some kind of spell. I think the tea she drank had something to do it with it. I think this bc the tea pot kept insisting that she drinks more tea, she seemed bat shiz crazy like she wasn’t thinking straight, and she wouldn’t go to grindewalds side knowing who he was truly.
Yeah, I think Queenie is under a spell, also. I really don't think she's the type of woman to give in so easily even though she had a mental breakdown.
Or maybe she had opinions? I'm just saying just because a protagonist is convinced to do something bad doesnt mean there enchanted. They are human too and can make mistakes. One of the reasons Rowling is such a good writer is because she doesn't make protagonists perfect she makes them easy to fall too the same thing others might(Grindlewalds silver tongue) Harry's fault is legit he is the most UNOBSERVANT *deep breath* just saying a protagonist doesn't have to be enchanted to do something bad
He looks into the mirror and sees the creation of the blood pact BEFORE he has it. It's possible he wanted both. Longed for a simpler time w/ his love and longed for the vial holding the pact to end the troubling times.
This movie could have been great, and it was is some ways but there were so many things that made no sense like Quennie joining Grindlevald. And the scenes jumped all over the place with no cohesion. Overall I was disappointed
“Grindelwald is lying” is a wishful thinking in the fandom because this is, by far, the worst plot twist in the series. This is the same movie with a retcon about McGonagall’s age, when actually she’s supposed to be born in 1935.
davy jones In the books she is born in 1935. But don't tell me that Minerva is 55-65 in the movies....Maggie Smith was 65-75 so that is basically 70-120 in the HP Universe, lol. Grindelwald is lying is not wishful thinking....Queenie mentions to him that he needs to approach Credence calmly and positive etc.
davy jones the reason why is because the Phoenix, always comes to a dumbledore when they are “in need”. We didn’t see the Phoenix at all in the first film when credence was definetely in need. Also it didn’t grow to its full form at the end of the movie
@@ttydt Too bad nobody told that story to Ariana when she got attacked, scaring her for life. Just another example of Rowling not being able to handle her own universe. it overcame her and she's not a good writer enough to handle it, not an humble person enough to admit it. Really disappointed. Also, if davy jones is correct and it is not a lie (which I really hope it is, even though that means that they based the twist of a movie on... well nothing. But then they already did that in the 1st one.), we will have to endure one of the most laborious so called "clever" redconning explanation ever made, only being rivaled by the Cursed Child. I still wanna have some hope in this license.
charley15z Many times JKR stated that the FB films were the official prequels to the books and that for that reason they contradict the movies. it makes no sense!
Jeevzsk dude yes OotP all the way, even the final battle sequence was just like the battle scene in the ministry of magic. Circular rooms and lots of spells flying everywhere
@@jakob716 that is a problem though. The ship we saw in that scene couldn't possibly have been from 1901. It was much too big and advanced for that. Compare it to what steam ships in 1901 looked like and it doesn't make much sense. Back then, even steam ships still had masts and were much smaller. The ship is simply too tall and large to be from 1901.
I thought that the scene with Voldy was almost 20 years after this movie? That would explain why he hasn't aged well, it's after the fight with Grendlewald and that fight could have easily aged him a lot because of the amount of magic he's going to have use in order to defeat him, maybe? Also the McGonnagal thing pisses me off to no end. She cannot be a teacher at -8 years old!
I'm glad you liked the movie, everyone else seems to have hated it lol. I really enjoyed seeing it cinema, some scenes took my breath away. I agree that the plot was somewhat convoluted and hard to follow at times though. I think I disagree about Grindelwald. I don't think he cares any more than Voldemort did, I just think he's a better manipulator. Voldemort gathered followers by instilling fear, Grindelwald is doing it using charm and promises of a better world. I find his approach far more seductive, because brave men will fight despite their fear, but might be persuaded to join a cause for "the greater good".
I think jude law's look is good. If they are smart the will age him as this goes on. From the stress of taking on someone he cares for. That scene with Tom happe ns in 1942. I can't imagine what Dumbledore must be going through. Sensing the darkness in tom and talking on Grindelwald at the same time.
I thought the cinematography was pretty inconsistent. There were some cool shots but then there were also some pretty bad ones. Like those weird closeups in the beginning scenes with Newt, Leta, and Theseus; the awkward hand-held style shots when Leta is exploring Hogwarts on her own; and I thought the whole movie was visually a little too dark (and this was after seeing it twice at two different theaters.)
I got to see it before it came out in theatres! My step dad works on an airforce base, and the movie theatre at the base gets early releases of movies. It was super cool...
I watched this film yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic! So many amazing plot twists and it was honestly the most phenomenal film I’ve ever seen!
I also thought it was really cool the owls flying around in the ministry of magic and pooping everywhere. In the order of the phoenix Mr. Weasly tells Harry when they are going up to his hearing and the the paper planes are flying around "We used to have owls. The mess was unbelievable"
I don’t really like how they did Nicolas Flamel. I always pictured him more magical. I always pictured the sorcerers stone making him you know immortal. Not weak and old
Lol it’s funny because most people think Albus’ name is Dumbledore and pretty much everyone just calls him dumbledore but now that there’s another dumbledore we’re gonna have to call him Albus
Most people seem to have started being judgmental about the movie already, and have probably garbaged it. On the contrary, I truly loved the movie, which is full of many plot twists and serves as a bridge between its future instalments. There are many revelations that must be made and many unanswered questions that need to be answered, which I am sure JKR will address at her own pace being the perfect story teller she is. I have full faith on her and her thinking abilities, which by far is way ahead of most of us Potterheads. Yes, there were a few screenplay mistakes here and there, but I could gladly let them go as the story, performances, twists and complexities alone made up for those for me. One thing that people need to understand is that it’s not a Harry Potter story at all. It’s an expansion of the universe that JKR created, and is much more darker and complex than a story that’s set in a school. We don’t have a book to refer to, which makes it even more difficult to make sense of. But Comparing it to a lose fan fiction is an insult to Rowling’s abilities who, as we have seen, always has legit answers and explanations for almost every twist she introduces. I remember people having mixed opinions about the Harry Potter movies when they first started with the franchise. It’s only after the third movie that people actually started taking them seriously. Like with all Rowling creations, I believe we just need to give the story some time and have some faith on the woman that started it all for us at the first place. All lose ends will be tied up and all randoms dots will keep getting connected as the story and movie progresses. JKR is a great novelist, and she writes extremely detailed and well explained stories. But may be a good screenplay writer should come on board to help her keep track of all this immense amount of information, so that we don’t have to see an ‘unknown’ McGonagall stuck in a wrong time period.
The difference is that none of the Potter movies were as poorly written as this, i found it almost literally unwatchable. I just don't understand how anyone can be invested in characters that you don't know anything about, because these characters were not motivated at all. No explanations for anything, just a pot of names mixed with rushed drama. When you say they should *maybe* bring in a new screenplay writer, you're being nice. Bring in god damn Adam Sandler as screenplay writer and the movie would be 10 times better
Lisa Eichler-Johnson ...i thought about this, too. Like Dumbledore said in CoS “you must’ve shown me real loyalty. Nothing but that couldve called Fawkes to you” (or something along those lines). I think it was his display of loyalty to Dunbledore, not his being a Dumbledore himself.
I’m an 11 year old boy and a major Harry Potter fan I understood this movie perfectly. In my opinion I think that it’s one of those movies that you like more and more every time you watch it.
I think Credence is a Dumbledore. Because of the pheonix. Grindelwald said that pheonixes is associated with the Dumbledore family. And in the end the baby bird that Credence was taking care of became a pheonix. Also Albus has a pheonix later on.
Thank you. Everyone misses this and its been said a few times in the movie to make sure ppl dont see the final plot twist as a lie and guess what...they still do xD
@@AmalieMalle Why would Credence be in need for the phoenis though? There must be more to this. Also the Phoenix has cycles. We have seen adult Fawkes burn, to be born again and as return an adult.
@@michaelkent7102 I just think, that Credence can't be Dumbledores brother. Maybe a Cousin at best. Kendra Dumbledore died before Credence was Born (if that Information on her death on the internet is correct) and Dumbledores father was in Azkaban. There is no way, except Rowling ignored all of that, but that would make me really dissapointed
Do you think that newt is now protected from Grindlewold? When Lita died she did it to save him. (I personally think that she was saying I love you to Newt.) So when she died so he could escape, has she protected him with sacrificial magic, like lily and Harry?
Finally, someone who reviews the movie properly and respectfully. I've seen way too many one sided reviews. I can't wait to see the rest of the 3 movies as well.
Is anyone gonna talk about the fact that Voldermort was already one years old at this time but when Tom riddle was in school there was a Lestrange in his year yet We dont know if Credence was a Lestrange and he’s already in his 20s of course but then Leta Lestrange dies when she was the Fiancé of Theseus Scamander and I’m pretty sure there were no kids so who the heck was that lestrange in Tom riddles year?!
I was confused for a lot of the film despite seeing the first one multiple times and have seen/read the books. What really got me was Credence's backstory. Leta had made the switch with the babies yes but it just confuses me on the sheer luck of Credence also being a baby with magical powers and left me wondering who he is. I don't think he's a Dumbledore but there are a lot of plot holes that need to be filled. I do agree though that the cinematography was beautiful!
She has a rare type of thing that she will one day transform into a snake and not be able to become human again. The theory is that Voldemort met her as a snake while he was an orphan on that trip he took. He could speak to snakes and that's how Voldemort ended up getting her on her side and then made her a horcruxe. So yes it is the same nagini
Yeah.. im a big potter fan, and usually hype for it series, including F.beast.1, but when i watch F.beast.2, i actually almost fall a sleep in the theater 😂😂
That is not good for a movie like that. Every other HP movie makes much more sense and is liked by potterheads and normals. That movie is dissliked by normals and potterheads so I would not use that as an excuse
Just found this. I'm so glad I'm not alone. Everyone is so negative about this movie, but I loved it. It's a gorgeous set up to what's to come. The first movie was more upbeat to tie-in to the originals, but this one, I believe, shows what we can expect in the future. I think it's smart as the kids who read Harry Potter growing up have, well, grown up. I still love Harry Potter, but I'm all for some more adult themes.
I remember when this channel was a small one that just posted reviews about Justice League Unlimited and Young Justice. Now it has 480k subs. Great job! You earned it! 😁
thank god I watched your previous videos about everything in the potter universe before watching this movie, it helped me a lot to understand everything. thank you so much.
My question in FBCG is, if the Phoenix will come to every male Dumbledore of their family, why did it came with Credence and Grindelwald said "it is your birth right" reffering to having a phoenix? Just like Raven in Lestrange family.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Has anyone noticed, after the movie, when the credit rolls and the actors names are shown with their respective characters, where characters who are very close to each other are shown side by side.
*NAGINI IS SHOWN SIDE BY SIDE TO KAMA YUSUF*
Also, in the movie, during the climax, where every one is fighting the blue fire. Like how Tina saves Jacob from the fire, *Nagini is saved by Kama Yusuf* the same way.
All i am saying is, Is this detail a hint that in the upcoming story there is *something* between Nagini and Kama Yusuf?

Nobody:
Voldemort: *hates muggles when he’s a half-blood*
True
TBF I can’t blame him, I know his father was enslaved by merope (Voldemort’s mother) but aside from that he’s an actual prick of a human being, as he casts aside his son,has a very selfish personality and looks down on people because of his family and his rich lifestyle which is just disgusting
He killed his father and his grandfather
He killed his father and his grandfather

Absolutely the same : DDDDD
Same tonight lol
Same just got back tonight my head has been mindfucked
Haha, me 2. Anders the carli brothers
Phhuuucckk yes! i swear I could feel Jacob's pain when he called Queenie crazy at the end after trying to keep it for himself in the beginning
I personally think leta didn't die. imo (weird theory) she's locked up somewhere in nurmengard
I'd defiintely think Grindelvald was lying to Credence's face about his origins, but what about the phoenix???
Well, the pheonix didn't turn into it's full form itself. Grindelwald did something to it and it is likely he knows much stuff about phoenixes due to his past relationship to Albus Dumbledore. So another trick maybe?
i dont think grindelwald knows that kind of stuff about animals...other wise he would be careful about newt being there with his case
Dumbledore is a master of transfiguration. Perhaps Grindelwald was paying attention.
My theory:
I think Grindelwald made "the Brother stuff" up cause he wants to get rid of albus dumbledore
He thinks creedence can defeat dumbledore so that is why he is trying to set creedence up against dumbledore with lying about the dumbledore family mistreated him etc
He actually pointed at this in the second movie if you're alert you will notice it
I will never get over your editing. It blows me away everytime.
Dumbledore desired the vial, I don't think Grindelwald kept it for sentimental reasons, it's for insurance and safe-keeping.
Even I had the same thought bro. Looks like even for Grindelwald, like Voldemort also, Dumbledore will be the only wizard they ever fear. . So mainly it's for stalling Dumbledore
thandolusanda khumalo I agree !! He’S just keeping it to protect himself from Albus.
I was thinking the same thing
So Grindelwald must be lying, which I'm all for
it might be ariana's obscurus that latched itself to credence...
@@AS-wo8qm how does one obscura latched to someone else?
@Booper Dooper I could definetely see Grindelwald lying or that the obscurial of Ariana latching onto Credence and that would therefore explain why he's the only obscurial known having lived past childhood. I definetely think the first is more likely though
What if he's...dumbledore's son
And yeah I know it's biologically impossible...but I wish it wasn't and he was Grindelwald and Dumbledore's 😂
I don't think Grindelwald likes Muggles. He's like wizard-Hitler by saying they are the superior race. He says that muggles have their own right to be but not so as the wizards. More like tools and slaves.
He even says that not all of the muggles should die, cause they could be use as beasts of burden or something like that... Beasts, not humans.
definitely not "wizard-Hitler" He doesn't hate muggles.

Yeah, I think Queenie is under the curse, as well.

Let's see from story standpoint:
1) Credence aka Aurelius is a young adult at best..

Please can u tell me this movie title
Sruthi Surendra the plot of the movie and action sevens are very well put and entertaining but I will admit there is a few glaring problems that “probably” cause people to hate the movie:
1)Appeparting in Hogwarts- It’s mentions god knows how many times in the books probably in each of them that hogwarts is enchanted to prevent apparation in or out of Hogwarts, but the ministry just apparate into hogwarts like they own the place.

Why mcgonagall?
@@natalyperez6065 She wasn't born yet during the timeline of the movie.

Thank youuuuu.... Finally a positive review... So far all the articles I have read say that it was a crappy movie.
80% of it was kinda boring and irrelevant to plot though. The whole couples drama shit isn't needed imo, it needs more magic.
They are all dressed pretty muggely
Those are just the main points...
That's European bureaucracy for you :-D
Some of the things you mentioned actually aren't a problem with this movie but with MovieFlame's interpretation of it :-D
But I agree with you, I loved the movie but the characters were introduced too briefly, plus there were too many of them.
Peace.

@@Ryan-pg1tw well I think they responded quite respectfully?
Grindelwald is the best villain in the whole Harry Potter/fantastic beasts fandom (yes I’ve seen the movies and
read the books)
I honestly think that Queenie is under some kind of spell. I think the tea she drank had something to do it with it. I think this bc the tea pot kept insisting that she drinks more tea, she seemed bat shiz crazy like she wasn’t thinking straight, and she wouldn’t go to grindewalds side knowing who he was truly.
I like this much better than the Imperius one... Something in the tea looks more plausible.
Yeah, I think Queenie is under a spell, also. I really don't think she's the type of woman to give in so easily even though she had a mental breakdown.
@@HawkinaBox I hope that's the case. It's the only way Queenie siding with him is justified
@@Supermario19001 No. No it isnt
I think what dumbeldore whants is the blood pact!!! What he sees in the miror is the moment he created that blood pact
why would he want it if he already has it
He looks into the mirror and sees the creation of the blood pact BEFORE he has it. It's possible he wanted both. Longed for a simpler time w/ his love and longed for the vial holding the pact to end the troubling times.
Luluthekitty23 it does make sense, but also feels like an excuse for lazy writing
@@margaritarai6286 in the movie Grindelwald had it!!!! Than at the end of the movie Nut scamander gave it back to Dumbeldore!!!
Maryam Maya yeah but wouldn't he just see himself holding that thing? Why would he see the past?
I'm glad you took the time to make this video. It was for the Greater Good.
Can u guys imagine a scene (in the future) when old New Scamander go to Hogwarts and meet Harry Potter (just for a cameo) that would be Lit
There are way too many Cameos already
This movie could have been great, and it was is some ways but there were so many things that made no sense like Quennie joining Grindlevald. And the scenes jumped all over the place with no cohesion. Overall I was disappointed
He most likely cast Imperius curse or there was some potion in that tea.
“Grindelwald is lying” is a wishful thinking in the fandom because this is, by far, the worst plot twist in the series.
This is the same movie with a retcon about McGonagall’s age, when actually she’s supposed to be born in 1935.
davy jones
In the books she is born in 1935.
I agree with you Davy, It would be one shitty cop out if Grindlewald is lying to Credence.
davy jones the reason why is because the Phoenix, always comes to a dumbledore when they are “in need”.
Funny thing I also compared Crimes of Grindlewald to The Empire Strikes Back.
It felt very much like it, and I dug it.
@@Eric_1991 i compared it to order of Phoenix
In a weird way i did too...
Jeevzsk dude yes OotP all the way, even the final battle sequence was just like the battle scene in the ministry of magic. Circular rooms and lots of spells flying everywhere

What if the ship, that sunk is the Titanic? The lifevests and boats look quite the same and the time and the travel destination would fit
I already thought of this, but she would have to be 16 years old in that scene, and she looks younger to be honest.
I still believe it’s the Titanic
Read the script, scene takes place in 1901
@@jakob716 that is a problem though.
Cyanideperfume In that case it’s filmmakers mistake, script says 1901
Love the background music for this video. Goes well with the dark theme of the movie.
You don’t happen to know the name do you?
@@oke523 its the OST from the deadly hollows film. Songs names are obliviate and battle for hogwarts
Maybe it was the sister of her father or so? Not Minerva that was Harry’s teacher
He remind me of Hitler lol
Can you do a breakdown of all the creatures in the movie
I feel like he keeps the silver vile with him around to make sure that dumbledore couldn't have and break it, allowing him to defeat grinderwald
Just got back from the film. It is amazinggggg i loved all of it

"We saw Snape..."

The Purple Emerald Aberforth has always been just Aberforth, with the exception of Hermione calling him Mr Dumbledore
Jasmine Tran That’s why I suggested it
Most people seem to have started being judgmental about the movie already, and have probably garbaged it.
I don’t understand the ending so I’m glad I found this!

a Phoenix will come to any Dumbledore in great need, think a Phoenix will play a role in the battle between him and Grindlewald?
Then why did the Phoenix come to Harry in Chamber of secrets?
@@lijohnyoutube101 Because Harry showed unending loyalty to Dumbledore. Plus I think Fawkes liked Harry. 😊

I think Credence is a Dumbledore. Because of the pheonix. Grindelwald said that pheonixes is associated with the Dumbledore family. And in the end the baby bird that Credence was taking care of became a pheonix. Also Albus has a pheonix later on.
but in that case whats with Aberforth? he has a goat, not a phoenix.
DeadApplePictures the Phoenix comes to the ones in need, so Aberforth most likely didn’t need it

I was confused for a lot of the film despite seeing the first one multiple times and have seen/read the books. What really got me was Credence's backstory. Leta had made the switch with the babies yes but it just confuses me on the sheer luck of Credence also being a baby with magical powers and left me wondering who he is.
