Caleb Williams folded not only against Top 25 teams, but also against NFL-style defenses. 3 picks in the first half of Notre Dame alone.

The one thing I notice is that almost every good pass you look at is to D.J. Moore, I think that Fields is really good or can be in the right system but I don't think he is the type of passer like a stroud or Mahomes that can be elite with elite field reading or anticipation. He can get it to elite players if they win and he has flashes but the Bears maybe should get Williams.

Justin Fields was diagnosed with some form of epilepsy. I wonder how one can play as an NFL QB with epilepsy at all? Mustn't one get super crazy suffering from epilepsy whilfe facing all the expectations on an NFL QB, facing rushers and at the same time staying calm while going through ones' reads and throwing dimes afterwards? I wish him all the best! I just wonder how a guy with epilepsy can put up with those stressful situations?

One time I completely disagree with you. Fields important QB stats aren't any better this year compared to last. I believe people who have a good record of QB analysis when they conclude that Caleb Williams excels at the things Justin doesn't do well. I really like JF and hope he eventually becomes a good starting QB. But it's time to move on. Paying him starting QB money after this year will negatively impact roster construction in a severe way. I think Poles is a very smart GM and am pretty sure he will not pass up the chance to draft a QB who has a real chance to become elite in the NFL.

The stupidest no-move the bears have ever done is not getting rid of getsy at the week 13 break. So we can actually see how fields does. With another plate collar with the same system.

I don't want to embarrass you by replying on anyone else's comment stream, so if you ask, I'll delete this too. but you guys are discussing how _Getsy_ hasn't yielded results.
Are you _sure_ you're Bears' fans? Do you remember how you felt last season the first time you saw Fields stare at instead of throw to an open receiver? I thought "Oh no, did he suffer head trauma & I missed it?" Then no one on the team took him into the blue tent.
Then he did it again. & still not one staffer on the team was *concerned **_or surprised??_* How tf is not being surprised even possible?
Unless Fields not throwing to the open receivers on those plays was what those plays *called for.*
That's the only explanation. _Any_ other QB even a back-up on _ANY_ other team would at least check out the QB between drives. The Bears expected this & it's why Fields gets ready to pass then reads the receiver's number then changes his mind. He was ordered to only throw to specific receivers.
This wasn't Getsy. If Getsy _had_ done this, Eberflus would have stopped it. It was Eberflus. Eberflus makes it very clear in multiple talks to the press that *He Decides* what plays to limit the offense to. The only way he isn't concerned about Fields doing this is if he _knew_ it was in the play called.
So either 'Flus ordered it or okayed it. Either way he's 1 billion % complicit in those play-calls, just like he abandoned the designed QB rushes that made them the #1 offense _before_ they acquired D.J. Moore, just as he repeats all the failed plays.
& all anyone has to do is go look at any Fields highlight reel, from selected plays to his big college game. He *doesn't have trouble reading defenses* & makes incredibly accurate passes to open as well as covered receivers. This narrative was invented by the supposed "fans."
& a few weeks later when he said "I don't know what my coaches expect from me" & was almost in tears as he said it, that was why no one reacted. People had already dismissed Fields, already determined that he always had problems. Well?
Can anyone show me tape of him doing what he's done under Eberflus _before_ Eberflus? *Before* 'Flus he failed to pass to receivers *because they **_weren't_** getting open.*
So: on _this_ team with *that* o-line & his own HC sabotaging him Fields threw all of 5 fewer TDs than Jalen Hurts did with the best o-line in the league & a top-5 WR duo in '22? & in '23 you should check out the videos & stats _this guy_ researched th-cam.com/video/tINPwlNkNOQ/w-d-xo.html. Basically only Kmet & Moore didn't drop passes.
Same old same old with everyone returning to the incorrect narrative that Only The QB Determines whether passes are caught or not & all team play.
Come on: you should be _better at this_ by now.

I personally think firing luke getsy will be horrible for him and the offense...jay cutler had to deal with multiple offensive coordinators ...i think it hurt us alot.

The thing is in what scenario would Getsy still be here? He had to get fired he did not produce in 2 years and limited the offense. Flus had to fire him to keep his job and a new head coach wouldn't have kept Getsy anyways so having a new OC was basically inevitable. I think Justin could adjust tho if he's still under the helmet

@@dagermanbear7896 2 years is not nearly enough time to make a judgement on someone who is working with so many changing parts....ask dj Moore if he thinks Luke getsy is a good coordinator...I think he will defend getsy ..Chicago fans need to learn patience especially with coordinators and qb's...LUKE GETSY is not a bad coordinator..he just needs the offens to execute his plays better..DJ MOORE had an amazing year....losing Jordan Howard hurt our power running game.

      Getsy is a terrible OC

@@Dev-rg1zo I disagree...but typical bears fans usually want the oc gone even though the offense showed very good improvement this year... patience is something bears fans need to learn because next year we are starting from scratch offensively.. hopefully Justin Fields can memorize another offensive playbook quickly 😅
