@@santaclause3487 for real, that should tell you everything about Justin. I would say he either throws to Moore or Kmet, but the fact that our #2 receiver doesn't touch the ball is crazy.
@@santaclause3487he throws to kmet and Moore but also Mooney just looks bad when thrown to. Horrible ball tracker and he can’t make a contested catch for his life. When he was the wr1 in 2022 he had 422 yards dj had 1364 that’s pathetic. He was OK as a 1 in 2021 with fields but he’s been pretty trash ever since
The no calls on the late hits has gone too far. How is it that these defenders rarely ever get called for those hits? You mean to tell me they’re ALWAYS clean hits? Purely based on probability, some of them have got to be fouls right? 😅
He has arm talent, but his pocket presence is bad. I remember getting frustrated because of that during games. He starts sliding right or left too soon before the play finishes to develop. Also, he misses some simple throws that are a must for an NFL QB starter. Yes, his runs were flashy, but I never understood why Bears fans really wanted him to be the starter next year.
@@45bands-not-engh I agree that he does not hold up well against the blitz and has very poor vision in the pocket but he can’t really trust his o line either

Justin has a lot of potential he has to learn to trust his progressions and stay in the pocket more. The greats life tom Brady were never athletic they just used there elusiveness to stay in the pocket and buy time.
Yeah, he's been getting better at that, but the one in the 2nd quarter was bad. Held it way too long, and could have thrown it away instead of taking the sack. He's gotten better at sliding at the end of runs though, even though he still gets hit late a lot...
In this exact video, Fields throws a ball to Mooney where only he can get it. But keep the blinders on. Mooney is also very lackluster at high pointing certain throws.
Was it just me, or did the offensive line take a bit of step back in that game? They had been doing better recently, especially after finally getting everyone healthy. Braxton got beat around the edge for a blind side sack. Jenkins got beat inside also, and missed a block on a designed run where Fields got crushed by a LB. They missed picking up a couple of free rushers, which reminded me of how bad they were at that last year. Larry Borom absolutely needs to be cut, he's not even a decent backup! Everyone seems to know and talk about how important the QB position is in football, to the point they seem to forget it's a team game with 11 players on the field for every play. A QB can't block for themselves, or run the correct routes, get open, and catch the ball for themselves either. It's hard to fathom how difficult it is for a QB to keep their eyes downfield consistently after repeatedly taking hard hits. Especially all the ones Fields has taken from free rushers on missed stunts or blitz pick ups. Fields didn't trust his offensive line in Chicago after two years of getting run over by trucks frequently. Hard to blame him. Don't get me wrong, he absolutely holds the ball too long at times, and is responsible for a number of the sacks and fumbles he's had. I'm in favor of Poles trading down from the #1 pick again for a haul of additional picks, and continuing to fill holes on the roster. Assuming Poles cuts Whitehair & Jackson post 6/1 to save $27+ million in cap space, and resigns Jaylon Johnson, the Bears still need 5 to 6 more starters plus more depth. They need starters at left DE, 3 tech DT, FS, WR, OC and possibly left OT. They need depth at DE, OT, OC, WR, TE, LB, RB and safety. The Bears are more than a QB away from being competitive in the playoffs. Look at the Chargers and Justin Herbert as an example that a QB isn't everything.
Detroit has a pretty good defensive line, so I can understand the "bad" game by the OL. I still think they had a decent game and they're only getting better. I do agree that Justin holds the ball too long. I am still not 100% sold on him. I also agree with your needs for the team, except left OT, but I would add QB.
The Bears Oline is bottom of the barrel, Mooney has to learn how to catch away from his body when there is no separation. Who's calling these plays? Why run a screen play, when your offense is 10 or 15yrds away from the endzone? Your QB is JF1 not some pocket passing knockoff.
I just don't think JF1 is a good QB he's not seeing the field like a would like to see from a 3rd year QB or is it the talent around him. Or the play caller. I don't see it.
Yall kill me with this comment that you heard your favorite TH-cam coach say probably. You don’t know what he’s seeing. All he’s done is bailed out fields for the past 3 years. Running QBs rarely throw to WR2. Every play is 1 read and run.
