      Great analysis, I'm waiting to see how my necro lands vs. the rest of my characters. it feels like they missed a trick they already used with morph balance. Making blighted a "half and half" skill like DK whip rather than "the stam morph", if the other morph is totally different? (edit: I like the current Blastbones and the old warden rhythm playstyles)

      Imagine a necro with 15-20% bonus bamage from master's dual wield, Vateshran staff and Marselok. These are all DOTs.

    This was my favorite character class when it arrived, and it's just fizzled nearly every update. that solid 20-second addition to the skeletal mage/archer was great, but it's dropped ever since. I feel like the devs don't even play this game. lol

    Good video. Love that you brought up grave grasp needing some love. Personally I'd like it if they made one of the morphs some kind of damaging ability and the other morph some kind of simple snare like the sorc's encase or the DKs fossilize. One thing the class really lacks in its PVP kit is the ability to snare or stun consistently like most other classes can. Grave grasp as it is technically is supposed to fill that slot i suppose but having to try to play the mini game of spacing your enemy into the right AOE puts you at a disadvantage when another class can just tap one button without much thought to put you on your face.

    When the Necromancer class was added to ESO, it was one of the most powerful classes in the game, although a little difficult to play. Since then it has been nerfed, nerfed, and nerfed again, until it is almost not worth playing; despite this my main is a Necromancer which over the years I have had to make the best of what I have been left with. ZOS know full well that existing Necromancers use Stalking Blastbones as their go to skill, even though it's AOE damage had already been nerfed once. So now ZOS decide to take that away entirely, forcing virtually every existing Necromancer to change their playstyle that they have used for years, I am outraged that I have invested years of game play in a character that I may as well now just delete as being useless, I may just abandon ESO altogether over this.

      It bums me out a lot as well. :( to me a necromancer, just by being a necromancer, SHOULD me super powerful, high damage, magicka focused. :(
      But it's my main, and my crafter, so I guess I'll just go back to only doing quests and easy content again...

      I hate it as well. I had SOOOO much fun with this class, it literally became my main over how fun it was to play. I LOVE this class. But to see such atrocious changes for NO GOOD REASON is maddening. I love my Necromancer, he is my main and always will be.

      There's only one word that sufficiently describes this, after seeing my DPS drop from 50k bursts last night and down to barely 10k today after patch. The word is: SADNESS

    The most disappointing part for me is that GLS no longer turns you into a corpse, now just dropping a corpse at your feet. Imo having siphon follow you around was a really fun idea and would have helped make one of the more awkward skills in the game feel a bit smoother.

      Personally I I think the ability allowing your target to be treated as a corpse or making siphon into a targeted ability could be an interesting idea.

      Honestly, they should’ve reworked the siphon and tether abilities.
      The siphon could be Necromancer’s hurricane where it creates a vortex of necrotic energy around you dealing X damage and grants you a buff like either major brutality and sorcery or minor force or minor berserk. Consuming a corpse increases the damage done.
      The Tether could basically do the same thing but heals people around you and granting yourself minor mending for the duration. Consuming a corpse increases the radius.
      Shocking Siphon -> Reaper’s Cloak
      Restoring Tether -> Benevolence
      Edit: Then there would be any weird interactions and these abilities become more useful.

    I figured out how to improve necromancer pets.
    Consuming corpses increases the duration and heals them.
    Basically they last longer the more you consume corpses and recasted it while the duration is going consumes a corpse. So you don’t have to worry about what ability is consuming the corpse you can have them do it for you if you want.
    This should also proc the corpse consumption passive.

    They should have made the cost dynamic. Now I have to drop my mag pool down to sustain the stamina morph. Scythe still need buffs. It should have execute scaling on it. (Both morphs). I've posted ideas plenty of times on the forums for really simple buffs that Necros need.

    Personally, I would like to see the damage version of scythe turn into one of the strongest executes in the game as it makes sense like a grim reaper.
    Another note worthy desirable skill that should change would be grave grasp, they should make it the first skill that stuns, and immobilizes in one skill.
    Next would be to add in a nice heal over time into arcanist main heal ability render flesh to be more in line with the warden.
    One last thing they could do is to allow us to turn off the necromancer role play because breaking the law each time I accidentally press a button is quite annoying.

      I’ve always thought a single target stamina scythe execute would be stellar. Obviously an aoe execute couldn’t have too much scaling, but if it were single target (maybe with splash dmg) it would be a nice touch.

    Hey,
    I remains hungry of necro changes.
    To me, all you said about damage and idea of skeletton army are REALLY COOL !!
    But, i wanna see Major Brutality or Savagery on 2 bar like arca/DK/NB
    I'm so sad when i make a necro build i need to put guild spell instead of necro spell.

      Oohh dang thats what i wanted to ask so still no major buffs in kit.... well gotta run alliance spell pots or weapon power pots again just to free up a slot then, what would be best tho ? Weapon power pots and slotting camo hunter ? But these changes dont seem to bad, its going in a right direction finally

    Blighted Blastbones, instead adding the stalking effect like some people want should become an optional execute ability.
    Like yeah you can spam it but it becomes way stronger against weaker opponents.
    Its cost could also be dependent on whatever resource is higher.

    Great video, appreciate the continued updates. Yeah I mean I think the problem can be summed up as in organized group content, they are an EC machine and that’s about it. They can’t keep up with other classes enough to be a parse dps, so kinda the only role later game for necro dps is support as an ec crow and it doesn’t really seem like this is going to change that in any way. They’ve made them best case on par with current, which was already weaker than everything else except maybe warden and it requires more work to play a necro well than possibly any other class (I mean just compare cpm and bar swaps on logs between another dps and your ec crow). It’s really frustrating that ZOS continues to refuse to reward skilled play, generally you want to incentivize players to try a more difficult playstyle, but the way is now it does less damage than something dead easy by comparison even if you pull it off perfectly… sure other new morph may slightly decrease the amount of activity required, if you decide to go that route, but it still will be way below the damage of an arc doing half the cpm in content… It needed a buff more than a rework…
    crow is one of my favourite classes to parse on because it’s dynamic and active, but would I use one in an organized trial, nope unless I was was running EC, because I’d be putting the rest of my group at a disadvantage by using it as a parse dps.
    Tbh bringing anything, but low apm green cleave machine, if you’re not a support dps, is a disadvantage to the group these days, but necro would be very far down the list of worse options numbers wise

    After being a necromancer main i dont really like the change. I think thats an unpopular opinion but after my initial disappointment of no real summons i got used to blast bones. The gravelords sacrifice would be more appealing to me if it allowed you to summon two mages or two archers instead of one. The flame skull thing doesnt seem that great. Extra summons would fit more in theme with a typical necromancer

      I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion. The people who seem the most excited about this change that I’ve met don’t even play the class. They probably won’t start playing it either

      Almost everyone hates this change. I even saw people who don't main necromancers hating it, let alone players like we who main them. I detest this change. I am reverting to unmorphed BB after this atrocious change. I need BB to be on magicka and for it to be a ranged attack.

    I kinda think the whole class needs a redesign, it just doesn't make a lot of I tuitive or thematic sense as is. The point of a necromancer is to raise the dead, but for some reason it's all the abilities that DON'T raise the dead that consume corpses, and the skills that actually raise the dead just kinda conjure them into existence from nowhere. If anything should be consuming corpses to power up it should be the conjures, maybe doing something like summoning a spirit minion if there are no corpses, but powering up and raising a physical body if a corpse is available.
    I would replace siphon with another minion that chases the target while emitting the aoe, so no more enemies moving out of it and no more worrying about corpse positioning.
    I don't know, it really just seems that the whole class needs to be designed, it doesn't seem to know what it wants to be right now.

      You expect ZOS to balance that ? It's not going to happen .. like imagine using resurrect on freaking Possessed Manticora in vSO and it would wipe enemies for you. Or imagine some necro going to Southern Elsweyr, killing Ri'Atarashi, reanimating him and then going around and Ri'Atarashi summons his students to nuke everything. While it's cool on paper, it would be basically "So Necromancer ruined the game ..." I am pretty sure Life Amid Death consumes corpses to continue it's effects.
      With Spirit Mender summoning is self explanatory, as it's just calling on some spirit. Arcanist/Archer are iffy ones here. As for Blastbones we can see for brief seconds how the skeleton assembles before launching.

Yah, no way they'd be able to balance resurrecting corpses with the abilities of the enemy that provided the corpse, that'd be insane.

      @@IniquitousZ Ah I see. I mean it would still be bit clunky, wouldn't be ? Because you would need already be after SOME combat to get corpses from for your skill to even work ? Which is counter productive to what Blastbones was. You were making a skeleton from some bits and spirit summon to aid you and attack enemy for you.

      @@cracmar03 I mean that's how it works now, it's just siphon and boneyard that consume your corpses to power up. I would have made it so an ability like boneyard unearthed corpses, and the summons consumed them, if I was gonna use the corpse mechanic at all, I mean honestly the whole thing is kinda clunky as it is. Takes too long to get siphon and powered up boneyard up, lot of trash pulls are already over by the time you have your best aoes going. Might be better to just scrap the corpse system entirely.

    I love Blight Blastbones, so happy they didn't take its functionality away. Sucks for the folks that used the other morph though. I wish they finally added more than two morphs already..

    I think that there are some interesting things going on with these changes, but that for this to work and not make Magcros desiring the old playstyle have a lose-lose next patch is to make Blighted's cost scale dynamically with your higher stat. While it's cost is reduced from live, this still drains the stamina pool of a Magcro harshly when you are also likely running Barbed Trap, Archer, and either Stampede or Blade Cloak.

    I wish theyd change one of the boneyard dots to poison or disease damage. It awkward for the champion points when i'm i'm using stuff to buff poison and disease and then my main dot is frost damage. Plus theres already a cool disease damage dot animation, the skeever explosion from infinite archieve

      Yeah, or even old Thurvokun's ground aoe effect... Smth like "Infested Burial Ground" ☠ which might apply a sticky dot even for those who moved out from it!

    More than anything, I really don't like how it feels like they're pushing the stamina morphs and therefore stamina builds.
    It's a gripe I've had with arcanist and a couple others but with these changes it's just a little frustrating. Use venom skull with ruinous scythe, or blighted if you want a blastbones, use the Archer instead of the mage. Using blastbones? It benefits most from vma greatsword. I'm not saying Magicka *needs* to be stronger than stamina per se but I would really like it to feel like I have a more real choice. It's just kind of lame how many classes now seem to be in a state where stamina and Magicka play very similarly, or even almost identically but where stamina just does more damage. Stam sorc > mag sorc. Stam cro > mag cro. Stam arc > mag arc. It feels very limiting. Combine that with medium armor sets of the past couple expansions being the much stronger dps set option, and it just feels like "play how you want" is more of a taunt than philosophy for players pursuing the most difficult content.

      I'm a long time stamcro. Trust me, this sucks even if you like stam (most stam users never ran with skull or scythe but now damage is so low that it feels like you have to). My damage is non-existent now and the sad thing is my main thing is vet trials. I'm right now considering what class to flee to that most resembles the old Cro. If I can fix it (I've been away a patch or 2) I will but right now IDK if it's worth it and I've been on Cro since it came out.

    Two other abilites I think need a buff are both ultimates, Pummeling Goliath and both of the Reanimate morphs. Pummeling Goliath is, frankly, completely useless over the other morph, and Reanimate needs its cost majorly reduced, I’m talking halved.
    These ultimates need a reason to be used. The only class ultimate necros can justify running outside of Colossus is Ravenous Goliath and even that is a stretch. I feel like my teammates only love me for my Major Vulnerability

    I'm mostly partial to the changes for now since I'm only really dabbing into Necro DPS since a few days ago, having only really tanked before. I do feel it's a bit of an odd decision though to bring the GLS as a change to blastbones rather than assinging that change to a different skill.
    I do really like that it now boosts all necro skills though. I always felt it was weird that necros had a Rapid Rot passive to increase DoT damage but class-wise only really benefitted 2 class skills. Having a similar buff that also apply to other necro skills at least gives the rest something, and I may end up wanting to try also playing into the large increase to DoT damage by maybe experimenting with some Deadly Strike too.
    I do however also feel it that for necro DPS I have to go outside the class kit to compensate more than I would like to. No built in major brut/sorc or major sav/proph feels bad and the necro's unique buff being relegated to more and more class-agnostic sources makes it difficult for me to want to play a necro over another much easier class to manage.

    As someone who likes playing magicka based characters, I can’t help but feel that they are giving more to stamina playstyles here and leaving us magicka players in the dust :(

    Long time necromancer main here, I am loving the continuous scythe buffs, it's essentially the spell because of which I fell in love with the class and I am hoping it will finally transform into a viable spammable ability. Blastbones, on the other hand, feel like an insanely odd spell now. Why would I cast something to run and jump at me to give me a buff rather than, I don't know, just casting a self-buff instantly? It just looks like an incredibly weird gameplay with this ability now.
    I also dislike the way we are being locked into disease damage. This is absolutely only about cosmetics or whatever you'd call it but man, isn't it weird to be a master of death and just poison stuff? Like many mobs have crazy cool spells that involve a hand spawning from the underground and stuff, why can't a poor necro do something like that?
    I am genuinely just hoping scribing will safe the necro class or at least give it some variety. Until then, one-baring it is I guess.

    Consolidate buffs into less skills (for example the healing ghost pet can give majority savagery as well 🤷🏻‍♂️), extend buff timers so that it doesn't end up that all you're doing is constantly refreshing your buffs, extend the range of the tethers or make it so that you are the tether point, and increase the base damage of the FEW dmg skills necro actually has... Is it really that hard to bring necro to the same level as the other classes?

    Necroamncer was my main. I love the whole theme and prefer it to the sorcerer. Now my Necro sits in Clockwork city retired from adventuring and became a crafter 😢

    I'm really happy that ZOS seems to be listening to feedback, but I can'tt help but notice that every necro ability seems to be so awkward. Skull bounce in particular seems like an additional thing to focus on when the class already has so many moving parts with such little results

    It honestly seems like they don't know what a necromancer should be like , a mage necromancer should really be the whole weak but has so many minions that they could essentially take over the world .
    A stamina version would be a death knight, using bodies to augment their body and gain buffs their very presence infront of you causing you to shudder in fear .
    A hybrid between the two would inherently be everything inbetween those two archtypes.
    The animation for the skull is cool and I like it but its never seemed right to me like it just does not fit the image I have that necromancers fill in my head . Maybe if it had a morph that you crush in your hand and it heals or buffs you I would love that

    I love my mag necromancer because I have a really cool build. I don't have a spammable. Just BB and DOTs. I don't like the fact that the new mag morph now forces me to use a spammable. I'll try to use the stam morph, but not sure if I can really sustain it considering I do have a number of stam DOTs in my rotation already. It's a personal thing that I would have liked for them to have changed the stam BB morph to buff. It seemed that the buff suits the other stam spammables more so. It also bothers me that they changed the better version of BB instead of the weaker one.

      I have hybrid (actual hybrid that uses stamina and magicka) necro redguard. He already has stamina skills. He needed Blastbones to be magicka as his ranged attack, as he uses Crossbow as stamina range/Venom Skull as range stamina skill .. so since I don't need any buff, I loved Blastbones as it was, and I need ranged magicka attack OF THE CLASS, like I hate (minus crossbow) to use non-class skills, I will be reverting to unmorphed version of Blastbones.

    another neat idea for the grave grasp would be to put down persistent fields for 10 seconds that continuously snare/debuff while in it, and if the other morph is used for blast bones have it apply some additional damage over time as well, it would be a far more useful ability.

    I hope, they will update necro, like they did to warden. It became pretty good(at least in pvp, I play PvP). I don't play necro, but really wish you necro-mains to be treated well. You payed for the class, and most important you invested time and love into it. Completed storylines and all that.
    So I hope you will be in a good spot after all changes.

    Imo the biggest issue is that the class skills lack offensive major/minor buffs and the passives are garbage for boosting the non class skills that provide those buffs. The dot buff is thematic but like the templars dmg+armor passive nerfing the dot a little bit to add 300 base damage to it would make spammables and non class skills more viable until they get better major/minor buffs.

    It's all ok and Skinny did a very thorough research on that. But what I've always wanted to see since... U35 mb? Or when?... I've wanted to see and I miss so much the OG Necro with harmony and 30% debuff from the Colossus (make its current 10% debuff unique instead of maj vuln, at least, holy molly!).

    Sort of an unrelated question, sorry if its been covered elsewhere but I haven't heard anybody talking about it - does anyone know if the Glacial Guardian set from Coral Aerie will be good with all the damage increases to status effects? It gives 200% status effect chance for a maximum of 67% uptime. Since they thought to nerf charged it makes me wonder if this increase may be worthwhile, and I can see it being particularly useful for fights like vAS where boss debuffs are more reliable than group buffs from the main tank.

    Agree 100% with grave grasp. Generally useless skill but awesome animation. I’ve used it in casual solo play just for the visual. I would love to see this going off left and right in group content as a solid aoe damage skill.

    I really don't like the design of Gravelord's Sacrifice with "requiring" another Skill. It seems like a Passive, or some weird Necro Crux, implementation. It's clunky as hell.

    Just have the archer act like a dot, it attacks the enemy you aimed at when you cast it - if you aim at nothing/pre cast, it just does what it normally does. If the enemy you aimed it at dies, the archer dies and leaves a corpse. Add a secondary function to Archer, if you cast it a second time while active, it charges the target and leaves a corpes next to the target. Like a sacrafice for alternative purpose. And what the heck is wrong with simply adding THREE MORPH options.

    Maybe I’m stupid but once I get back from work in April I’m gonna make a necromancer just for the heck of it 😂, planning on running deadly stikes/coral riptide, maybe with velothi to really boost that dot damage but idk velothi really under performs on classes besides Templar and Arcanist. So maybe not velothi, any way I think since rapid strikes/dots gets buffed by deadly and the new skill buffing dots by 15%, that’s 30% dot damage and since deadly and coral are very easy to keep up I’m thinking it might actually be a pretty reliable build if it can hit in the 110-120k range also the corpse generation may not be that big of a deal if I use dots from the dual wield and 2h skill line. Always fun to switch it up!

    Flame Skull is all good, but has anyone else been getting that bug that makes your character only do the first cast animation ? I hope they fix it in that update, or else the 3 cast effect is almost null and void.

    I just returned 5 days ago, after a 2 year absence. Getting used to my toon again just to have these changes come in, really did nothing to my playstyle. Same gear, 2 minor rotation changes, but I'm still solo'ing everything that I did before. IA is easy to solo, also.

    Well it was fun while it lasted. why would i play a class that forces you to into skills and to work harder for corpse generation/ placement than the previous version????
    if they wanted necro to have a buff why not change one of the skull morphs to what the new barf bones does and keep the original blast bones since it already allowed the awesome playstyle? scorc has an armor skill turn into an offensive skill! why change skull to what blast bones already did but worse? this kills 4 of my characters playstyle and functionally made 4 new character slots available.

    I wish they would do this more with frost wardens , frozen gate. It was cool in concept but just is not good. Make one the teleport. And make the other a targeted damage that leaves behind a winter storm in the zone .

    Really dont like the idea behind forcing you to use a specific spammable, especially since the idea behind GLS is to buff all class and dot damage. Counterintuitive.
    The skill should be able to compete and feel good on its own. It would be a lot more simplistic too.
    Example: For 20s, increase all class and dot damage by 15%. While active, any direct class damage dealt will spawn a flaming lesser skeleton on your target that spawns after 2.5s and explodes on the spot. This effect has a 4s cooldown.
    The skeleton could deal 1/3 or 1/4 the damage of Blighted Blastbones and wouldn't jump to targets to balance it out. This would reintroduce corpse generation and aoe damage. It would make it much simpler to manage which was the entire reason for this change in the first place.
    Most of all, it would be fun. GSL is not currently fun. Its a dead cast that locks you into flame skull.

      I'm working on updating my Skill Spreadsheet and will have it there. Most direct ones are 370 now instead of 179. Diseased is 471 if you include both hits. The DoTs are about 1k each on avg over the 3 hits (hemo can be higher or lower depending on stacks)

    They really need to change Necromancer to something that fits the theme. Make it a summon based class, like summon skeletons, zombies etc. Hell, give us an option to buff them, make them stronger. Summons should be the main offense of the class. For now Necromancer is just an another class that does burst damage as a DD, and very look very clunky while doing that.

    I don’t like the pts change where new max level characters don’t know ever set in the game anymore. Now you have to use the box of armor and weapons and manually bind all the pieces you want to recraft. I think I missed the pts changes where they announced they were changing this, but I really want to know why since it takes so much longer to get a character ready to test changes.

      Like Flame Skull with the changes shouldn’t need Bone Sacrifice to produce a corpse and should do so every third cast. Change Bone Sacrifice to turn you to a corpse again and move away from the tether and siphon ability. They aren’t that great.
      Like Shocking Siphon could become a Lightning form like ability that deals damage and gives you minor berserk.
      Restoring Tether could become an ability that is similar but heals allies in the area and grants you minor mending for the duration.
      I agree that the permanent summons shouldn’t be a thing, instead activating the skill again should consume a corpse and increase the duration. You would have to change the skeletal archer so maybe making it deal sunder with each attack would be okay. That way you can choose to let it die and become a corpse if you need it or consume a corpse if you can.

      People only asked for better pathfinding for skeleton. Nobody asked for anything other then better pathfinding AI and make BB unstunnable/resist to most disabling effects. This stupid change is just ZOS having dev who is mad that Necro was better bomber then Nightblade in pvp.

      I wish they’d just fixed the pathfinding and the stun too. Not sure about the overall changes tbh. Don’t really play magcro tho… thought about it but they have way too many problems.

    they should make more inter skill interactions. we should encourage this.
    summoners armour - casting skeletal mage summons 2,
    bitter harvest - the corpse explodes if sac bones is up
    grave grasp - corpses caught in the aoe explode / become blighted blast bones/ricochet flame skull (up to 2) if sac bones is on
    scythe - treat an enemy as a corpse for 10 seconds if used while they are affected by grave grasp
    boneyard - spawns a ricochet flame skull/blast bones if grave grasp is used on it and an enemy is inside
    ricochet flame skull - bounces back to original target... just on its own.
    siphon - buffed/ tethers to an ally/ gives major brut and sorc if activated on a corpse in boneyard.
    just spit balling but it would make a massive positive interaction with necro skills and make using abilities and corpses a benefit not a condition for the class -- like the arcanist uses crux

    What’s funny to me is that it feels like our feedback was lost in transit. People argued that BB needed changes because it “felt clunky” and they “hated casting it every three seconds” but instead of interpreting this as making BB as it is just less uptime-intensive and adding in more ways to make corpses, they interpret this as “oh, people hate Blastbones!” and proceeded to change necro so their main spammable is Skull which is EQUALLY CLUNKY AND INTENSIVE.
    Nobody likes casting BB every 3s but people hate casting Flame Skull three times without light weaving even more! People complain less about Skull because nobody uses it! All they’ve effectively done is turned Skull into a worse version of BB, because now you don’t have that AOE cast on demand, you have to build up to it. These changes to BB feel completely unwarranted and I wish they’d have buffed skills like Grave Grasp or any of the lesser used ultimates first. Ultimately I think people are going to have the same problems with this as they did with original BB, plus some new problems.

    If they really wanted to make necro do more damage they should have just put the dmg buff from GLS onto the skeletal arcanist/archer. Then they should make that summon a permanent pet. Then make it so when you recast skeletal arcanis/archer it would acitvate the buff and whenever the buff ends it drops a corose. Necro players would welcome this change. Instead they have gone against their stated goal and made necro do less dmg, make less corpses, and forced to do more complicated rotations to get what they had before in a single gcd. Im not surprised honesy that zos is this stupid. At this point I just can't wait to see the collective backlash from the players who don't check oatch notes. Its gonna be great.

    I was extremely disappointed by these changes, when I first saw the alternative was an increase to DoT damage I thought we might finally see a version that was all about maintaining a ton of DOTS at once and keeping that going as opposed to spamming DD's constantly mid rotation, but it didn't turn out that way. The thing about magicka build is its supposed to be viable from range, and spamming skulls 3 times to get one corpse is a pain. The ability on the stamina version that makes other moves count towards the skull should be on the base morph instead, at least then trying to create skulls from range won't be so much of a chore as it is now. I would have rather seen a much more dramatic increase to DoT damage and focus on that playstyle vs what it is now. I'm so tired of every single class in the game being a mix of DD/DoT over and over, every class plays exactly the same way for dps. Another neat idea someone had in reddit was to change the morph to be similar to arcanist beam where you channel for 4.5 seconds and every 1 second of the channel you spawn a blast bones at a balanced damage level so your getting your "bone army" in and a different playstyle at the same time. One other thought would be while the 20 second buff is up on the new morph it spawns a blast bones that explodes on yourself for a corpse every 5 seconds or something for more corpse generation too, to (maintain the buff) so to speak. Still having to recast it every 20 seconds...

    I will not complain about trying to rework necro as it is long over due, however, I think the logic of reworking the best skill in the tool kit was just not the move. I understand they want to retain the old play style with the stam morph but in my mind leave blastbones alone altogether. Look towards all the other skills necro has and find ways to make them useful.

    looks like they wanted to address the stalking blastbones chasing players in Cyrodiil lol (and yes through walls etc.)
    I would see that thing chase players around a Keep, and sometimes through walls. So imo it looks like that was their main objective on this.
    You have to realize they don't give 2 $***s about PvE content and its all about what benefits PvP, I know some would argue against that but actions speak louder than words and we keep seeing changes that are based around "____ happens in Cyrodiil"

Zos themselves have made it clear they do not care about pvp at all so idk what alternate reality you came from. Pvp balance is a complete joke

Adding a sticky dot to one morph could've given both pve and pvp a new unique morph. Alongside fixing the targeting issues and making bbones untargetable.       you can't switch morphs in vet trials though, it's something that I have complains on the new change. One is very well synergistic but EXTREMELY parasitic, while the other is more flexible but doesn't have as good of a ceiling. Having options for both would be great, but through morphing is not it tbh.

      But not the ranged attack in class that had only TWO ranged attacks. Skulls and Blastbones. It's like taking Warden's Cliffracer and turn it into something that nibbles enemy at your feet, while Warden - akin to Necromancer - is in dire need of class ranged attacks. Warden has what .. cliffracer (that underperforms just like skulls do), Scorch needs to touch target at closer range so it's not range, morph of ice shards - but it's just a morph ...
      Both of these classes have very little ranged attacks. Necromancer already has one range attack underperforming, so Blastbones was way to go. Now we don't even have that. If they want drastic changes to every skill, it's calling for making 3 morph scenarios.

    As someone who just got rid of their stamina necromancer, if they add a damage over time effect Is to pestilent colossians I will remake him soo. fast. That is such a good idea 💡 Still very upset about the torment change😅

    Stalking blastbones was my favorite of the whole game and now it sux. This sux. Why do they always have to mess up the good stuff. Like when they changed the animation on rapid strikes. The old animation was awesome, Now I don`t play rapid strikes. WTH ESO?

    Sadly in optimized groups, especially in the harder hardmodes or trifectas the necro will perform even worse now. Hurts my little necro heart a little bit to see this implementation of the changes

    I've mained Necro since it dropped, and these changes just... aren't it. If they wanted to reduce the complexity of the rotation, having to keep track of your skull count for corpses is just kinda wack. The changes also really gut the class' burst potential in PvP which feels really bad.

    The changes are a buff for me. I play solo 99% of the time, I use scythe already and a vma 2h on the backbar, ill just have to swap to the blight BB morph now.

      this doesn't change that much, until the new spells of course, that update is the one who makes or breaks EC Cro and/or Cro completely.

    Dude, I love the necro colossus ultimate. But that's with the current corpse generation blastbones, that can make it so spam the shit out of that thing. Not looking forward to the patch. I can't see the stupid skulls being worth using. Especially since I have arthritis and can't play two bar builds effectively, soooooo...... looks like a hard pass. Just no room on the bar for trash skulls, lol.

    why don't the necromancer summon things that you can actually rely on? warriors etc? get rid of that totem and give us skeleton warriors!
