Poor Poe. You would love to give him a hug and tell him it will be alright. Such depression must be unbearable.

There is a Kind of secret, obscure, Melancholic, and wonderful magic in These words. The narration only contributes to it.

These poems are really beautiful and I like them all.
My favourite here is from Robert Frost, The road not taken: “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by and that has made all the difference.”

The “Sad Poems For Sorrowful Times” collection is sadly beautiful,
From the weight of its words, my heart is full.
Dwelling in this mood can lead to deep melancholy,
I kid you not, that’s no folly.
    Dark. Depressing. Dreary. Haunting. Mournful.

The last battle that we fight in our lives is irrelevancy in old age. It’s worse than having nothing on your slate but waiting for the grave.
In juxtaposition to what I just said is our four-generational household, where everyone, from five to ninety, is intertwined in a thriving weaving of love, caring and delight.

“If you choose philosophy, be prepared from the beginning that many people will ridicule you, will mock you, and will say ‘suddenly he returns to us as a philosopher’ and ‘where does that frown on us come from?’. Don’t frown: but hold on to those things that seem best to you, as you are stationed on this post by God. And remember that if you are persistent in these things, then the people that ridiculed you earlier will admire you later. But if you give in to them, you will receive twice the ridicule.” Epictetus

What ever your beliefs stand for there's virtue on honor your creator at the end you will be a much more grateful person. Those words are really appreciated specially when you don't receive the support of your more near friends and more importantly of your dear family. Do good everyday and stay persistent is the key!

The first poem is very cool and profound! What could be better for reflection than to look at the starry sky and search there for answers to our questions, which are in the depths of our souls. My life is also cold, dark and without joy, just like the second poet..... When insomnia comes, made by witchcraft, I lose hope for the best and for the future in general. I wonder if evil will triumph. Just as John Keats does not hope to live to see unrequited love, I too am so much afraid not to see Him, not to hug Him at least tightly! What cruel people who condemn the young to perdition! I liked Lord Byron's poem best of all! He is my favorite poet! God, my love, I know you'll read these lines! Please pray for me and ask your ancestors to save me! My love is eternal! It has no time. It will outlive all the centuries! 🖤

The great irony of "The Road Not Taken" is that Frost never had any intention of its meaning being more than a lighthearted jab at a friend's indecisiveness. It's also been speculated that the poem contributed to his friend's untimely death.

In the semi-dark she sits before the computer screen,
coffee within reach and just shy of midnight.
Neon peeks between the gaps in the venation blind
and paints a luminous magic on the wall.
A black cat's curled at one end of the sofa and,
content with the bliss that comfort affords,
the little animal purrs as it sleeps.
The gentle tap of a keyboard cocks the feline's ear.
    Outside a light drizzle begins to fall;
it turns the sidewalk into a mirror
and speeds the pace of all upon it.
In the distance a siren wails as it fades.
In this simplicity there exists a beauty,
mediocre to some; magnificent to others.
Regardless the value, which is measured by the clock's tick,
that beauty is beyond price; like love and the esoteric.
    -A Moment Before Midnight

    The Elephant Rope (Belief)
A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp, and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept in cages or held by the use of chains.
All that was holding them back from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.
As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead, they didn’t try to at all.
Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape.
    The trainer replied:
“when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

    Prayers of purpose.
When you are old and grey.
    Young and fell of sleep.
    And nodding by the sleep.
    Taking down old age.
    And slowly nodding to sleep.
And dreaming of an old age.
    Your eyes once dream of.
    Written by prayers of purpose.

Quite a welcome posting. Poetry is really the only avenue we have left it seems to fight the overbearance of the world we are living in these days.
Just one suggestion: I think the poem Bereft by Robert Frost would be much more fitting than your selection. Frost had such a grand collection of poems it would do it justice to share some of the others from time to time.

Subject: Why silence becomes success 👏
🍏 Today there are lots of people who takes the maximum advantage from those who has weak minds.
🍏 The foolish people or the negative thinking people always try to cheat the innocent people in some ways and get their advantage.
🍏 The silent people are brilliant and their thinking are bright that none could overcome their cleverness.
🍏 People who has silent minds are the people who succeeds in their ability. They know how to answer a cruel individual. Talking too much becomes not sense but nonsense. Today we see talking nonsense takes the initial place.
🍏 Silence means, not talking too much, not dealing with people on unwanted issues, not getting closer and face frustrations and not interfering with people who has no knowledge.
🍏 Educated people, people who has good intentions, good knowledge and good understanding are the people who always maintain their mouth in a silent manner. They never go for stupid talks or arguments or any conversations. They simply stay in silence.
🍏 Silence is the best answer to a fool. People who talk too much, people who has no good knowledge when talking, people who never know what they are talking, people with negative minds are the people with whom we cant keep any trust. So, the best answer for this is maintaining silence and keep quiet.
🍏 Silence always win. Today talking too much brings no benefits to the wise people who has silent minds.
Females talk too much more than men. So, the best solution is to get far away from people who doesn't have silent minds.
🍏 Today the maximum of the people spends their time by talking nonsense which will bring no profits at all. The easiest way of speaking nonsense is by the mobile phones. They simply spend more money on unwanted talks.
We can't correct a fool when the fool himself cant recognise their mistakes.
🍏 Stay in silence and safeguard your prestige. Be away from negative thinking people. They are hardly harmful.
    🍏Pastence was manageable, we managed.
🍏 The presence is running with full of pains and tension.
🍏 The future will be a frightening one.

I found a small damp puddle It happened to be moving on in the wrong direction its struggle to keep on going opened my eyes to a pond where the wind was blowing hard its splashes were not stirring as land on the other side where I am not passing as I tossed my umbrella up in the air I kept a dry eye then tucked my embroidary handkerchief back into my palm and knew that it was a storm.
