I am 66 years old and discovered the beautiful words and spirit of Kahlil Gibran when I was 15. I still love his words, his poetry, his spirit, and his depth.
Theres a beauty in the wave of life.The ups and downs of that wave of happy and sad gives measure to that wave so laugh,cry whatever as long as you have had the joy of the chance of that experience.

My favorite brother in law died of cancer in 1996. Craig Willard Grant. God rest his soul. He introduced me to Kahill and in turn when his son, who was 5 years old at the time of his death, I gave him a copy of the Profit, by Kahill in memory of his father. ⚘♥️🕊
I can't explain how grateful I am ! Amidst the horrors, deaths and mental trauma that we are facing in these times of pandemic, this poem gave me a deep pleasure and a serene experience. I have also read Kahlil Gibran's Masterpiece " The Prophet". I just want to say THANK YOU ❤️
Yet why, why must some of us feel too much sorrow for us not to see the light even when it's brightest? Why was there life when it would all go wrong, with only the few great moments we get? Why cannot we get what we wish, but what we fear?
@@writingisfun9842 I think the fault lies within ourselves If we can not see the light even when we are in the light. And our lives sometimes give us hapiness as well as fears or sorrows. But, I think, we are too much affraid to count the pleasures and end up piling our experiences of sorrows. The feeling of fear is so greater that it makes us forget. But obviously there are people who are endowed with sorrows more than in general. Life is actually very mysterious and if any power we have , that is to find little happiness even when we are passing through sorrow.
My dad passed 2 weeks ago from cancer. The day that this was posted I presume. I cant imagine not reading this or playing the audio at his funeral. Thank you for showing me/world a tear and a smile. 😢 😊. In loving memory of the ones we lost on this journey.

Ever since l was a child l was drawn to it, particularly to those kind, with touch of sadness and melancholy. But as strange as it may sound, it brought me joy, instead of sadness, because in it l found jewels and treasures l never found in frivolous expressions of music or poetry ... When we enter realm of the quiet in deep thoughts, we find God's presence wooing us to Himself. Listening to the words of this poem was like hearing the thoughts of my own soul being read by mans voice. 🌸

Any poem that gives hope for the best, a magnificent creation of great genius! Yes, children are the joy, the flowers of life! Dreaming of children from the man I love! Great poet! I am discovering his work for the first time. Earlier I was not familiar with him and his poems filled with the deepest philosophy of life.
I have been grieving a son for 3 years and a couple weeks and one day I just thought Maybe pain is not the worst feeling sit with it and feel it , talk to it , because a mothers mourning heart is a life sentence, this is truly the worst pain but thankfully I do want to heal and accept my fate , slowly but surely

Thank you for doing these. Trying to get back to life after a bunch of surgerys last year. I've had to let go of love ones that don't fit my future. They can't see I've changed after life showed me that I needed too. Im Understanding my foundation was unsteady. Rebuilding and stopping bad cycles. I'm ready for a healthy and emotionally fulfilling life. Theses give me more hope that I'll arrive to a healthy life one day ❤️❤️
