Ever since I watched the Princess and the Frog, I've always wanted to visit New Orleans! I'd try their food and look at their historical sites
Yeah or when I watch girl trip, one of my favorite movie
The Originals and American Horror Story Coven brought me here.
Dooky Chase was the model for Tiana...one of my fav movies ever too!
man, it came out of the movie literally i am SHOCKED. the lake and jazz areas and the vodo part like OMG I am obsessed
cool! 😱 KINDA the same for me except it was when I watched A Streetcar Named Desire with Marlon Brando 😳 but I like Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen as well! 😊
If I don’t get my neck snapped by Klaus Mikaelson then what’s the point?
Klaus is dead😔
@@annmanaug2628 awww really? I luv him! Still in season 2.
Love this
Thats what im sayin
EXACTLY
😭😭 u made me rem all the original spots from The Originals 😭 I miss Klaus and Elijah 😭❤️ love new Orleans from India ❤️

You can tell how much New Orleans took inspiration from Saint Denis, really goes to show how far reaching RDR2 is 👏
Omg. I love it. I’m currently in NO for a solo trip and you just gave me Everything I needed. and that pdf guide is GOLD! You even have location, fees and parking. Then you go the extra mile to give me a day by day planning! Amazing!
Next time you are in town, let us know!
How was it? What's your top 3 things to see?

I am going to New Orleans one day that is be in my bucket list 💙😀💐
Same! I'm from the UK and I'm desperate to go! Its on my 'bucket list'
I've even looked up flights! From my city (Birmingham) British Airways is the only is the only one that takes me straight there. 10 hours. Approx.
@@miss.l.1563 I suggest avoiding the summer months. The weather is scorching hot. The heat will drain your energy. It is definitely worth the visit. 8 suggest planning to go there during Mardi Gras which typically takes place during February or March. There are a lot of parades, music, and festivals. If you enjoy live music, especially jazz, you will love it.
Just watch out for the haunted houses ;D
I'm checking off Mardi Gras from my bucket list in 2022! 🎭
That’s one thing in life you can’t regret.
I just knew these comments were gonna be about the originals. I love yall.
Maikalson house??
New Orleans is a city call: Big Easy” has delicious food.
I’m from New Orleans and I feel very respected rn..
Como é o clima? How is the weather? I am Brazilian and I live in Brazil.
@@120519691 steamy hot in summer. Best time? Go in March, and on St. Patrick’s Day go watch the Parade in uptown!
@@annbush1826 Thanks for the guidance. I've already tried a visa to go to the United States twice and I couldn't get it. When I do, I'll go there to New Orleans. I wish you everything wonderful.

I'm excited to travel to New Orleans when I'm old enough to travel alone, I've even been tempted to move there permanently, it's history and beliefs are ✨STUNNING✨ and the food looks amazing, not to mention the music is great!!! One of my favourite places in the world!!!!!🖤🖤🖤

I’m going to New Orleans next month and the amount of things to do is so overwhelming!
Hello
How are you doing
This video has made me so homesick!!!!!! I am 69 years old and I grew up in the city since I was 2 years ago.

While attending law school at Southern University Law Center, I enjoyed visiting New Orleans. I recently took the Louisiana bar exam in New Orleans, and intend to relocate there this year. I hope that I enjoy living in New Orleans, LA as I did living in Baton Rouge, LA.
Curious as to what your plan ended up like! I’m From Charlotte, NC but family grew up in Louisiana & Mississippi! I absolutely love New Orleans & Baton Rouge (father went to LSU for College) & cousins used to live in New Orleans
Don't truss it Bro.
Creole restaurants, not cajun. While you can find cajun food in New Orleans, it is actually not cajun country. That's to the west. New Orleans is predominantly Creole.
Please tell me the difference between the two.
@@nichmon3221 Creole people are the people of any race, that can trace their roots back to French Louisiana before it became American. Usually they have French and Spanish last names or names referring to a region in Africa such as Synegal. Louisiana was a creole society first. Cajuns are the descendants of French speaking Canadians that were exiled from Canada for not vowing to the British Queen. They arrived much later. Creole Louisiana was more like Haiti or Dominican Republic in culture at this time.
The south east I'm Cajun.
@@JLDReactions thankyou so much for this. Learning stuff here!
I love my city.. I'm creole and I love my last name. Live long Davillier!
Its very excited to know that My dad who used to live in New Orleans like as I do, The city is amazing, African American people are amazing to, its no the race its the tradition

A daytime walk on Esplanade Avenue is very worthwhile as is French Quarter's Royal Street. For lunch, I suggest Johnnie's Po-Boys, also in the French Quarter.
We just booked a trip next march, i cant wait to try poboys. :()
Solid place to eat!
I just love how everybody in the comment section spitting history.... beautiful. Okay NO is def on my solo trip list.
I visited New Orleans in 2022. I don't think I saw as much as I wanted to, maybe I'll visit again. Love the big, oak trees. One of the highlights was when I went to The Mortuary during Halloween, really enjoyed myself; had so much fun. It was very, very well organised and was really affordable.
Amazing video, now i know what to visit if i ever come to the USA! Thank you!!!
I just went in the walk in new Orleans and I’ve been on a lot of these
Thank you for the list. I didn't know about Congo Square and its history. I definitely want to see that!
WOW! It looks different and more better. What I was thinking in mind like years after the events of Hurricane Katrina... I am thinking it looks more awesome, better and even more nice and beautiful. I have to visit there again.
Museums and information process and discovery is needed… honesty and kindness. It’s well beyond just being a “teammate” and giving over your work… it’s just is…. It’s good too.
These places look great. I would really love to visit from the UK
Also visit Tracey's on magazine St and 3rd .... Even the Simpsons went there when they came to NOLA
I love New Orleans, I desire to go back soon
Love it! Big Easy!
Just enjoyed my weekend on bourbon and can’t wait to go next year already.
Haha the city is not all about Bourbon Street.

Was there 1977.
Fantastic seefood and a fantastic city.❤🙆♂️
Was in New Orleans last month for the first time and this is a good list. My recommendation would be go to Bourbon Street quickly (early evening) and then go to Frenchman Street which IMO is much nicer.
Great food and drinks! Love this city 😊
omg… this is a really good video😊. i learned a lot 😮
They left out a visit to Tipitina's and Rock and Bowl -- always good music and good fun.

I’ve wanted to go there for sooo long I’m just gonna believe I’ll be there one day
I’ve been there a couple times. What a great city it is. I say just go and don’t worry about how expensive it costs. When I went it was pretty reasonable for plane tickets and hotels, but I wouldn’t go by yourself.
Ownnnn... I love New Orleans! Nola is fantastic and so amazing! ❤NOLA❤
Nice video, thank you, but just a slight edit. St. Louis Cathedral is not the oldest Cathedral in North America. The oldest Cathedral in North America is de San Ildefonso in Merida Mexico. It was established 300 years earlier than St. Louis in 1598, and of course Mexico is in North America also.
Is it the oldest in the United States?
This is one of many, many errors in the video. He’s just reading off trip advisor.
Thanks for this video
Me after watching Queen Of The South and wan‘t to visit New Orleans some day🤩
You will love the city
Go to Mardi Gras world and bring a meal. Behind the gift shop there is a patio with a long counter and barstools. A great relaxing place to eat and watch the ships go by.

Whatever you do DON'T go to Mothers restaurant. Just got back from New Orleans yesterday.. weather was great. People are sooooo friendly and we used Lyft when needed. Don't wear open shoes or sandals on bourbon st.
@@barbarahasenauer2630 Thanks for the tip
How well do you think Doc Martens would hold up with all the walking and weather down there?
@@lizz1187 doc marten boots? As long as they are broke in for you they should be fine. I would say just no open shoes

damn civilization
A neat city when I visited 28 yer. Ago. 😃
Wiiiiine new orleans beby

the beautiful louisiana 😍😍😍😍😍
Smoked a blunt in front of the Walgreens @ 7:36 around midnight in an alley way with my girlfriend. New Orleans has lots of love, culture, music & beautiful architecture!!!
On my way to find Klaus and The Originals family now
Liked 👍. Thank you for your top 10 suggesrions and thorough history. Without Googling...do you know who and why they created bead necklace for flashing? Which has nothing to do with Mardi Gras.
See a play at LePetit theatre adjacent to Jackson Square on Peters Street.
Mothers Restaurant is a good place to eat. Very down home and nice people work there.
Loved going on my lunch break. The debris poboy and gumbo. I remember when the line for going in was insane.
So I went to New Orleans a few weeks ago for a conference. I was extremely excited. I’m from the upstate of South Carolina and for some reason I expected NOLA to be like a mega Charleston or Savanah. Nothing was further from the truth. Savanah , Charleston, Wilmington, even Myrtle Beach have some charm to them. NOLA had zero charm in my opinion. We left the airport in an Uber driven by an Ugandan gentleman. He was extremely nice. As we came down into the city and drove back under the interstate we passed a ton of homeless people sleeping in tents under the overpass. More than I had ever seen in one spot. Granted I’m not well traveled but I’d been to Orlando and Cleveland for this conference and had not seen homeless on this scale as of yet. We arrived at the Sheridan on Canal and got out. Our first meeting was at a restaurant on Bourbon street. It stayed with an M but I couldn’t pronounce the name. We walked in from the urine and weed smell from the street to a host telling us we couldn’t wear blue jeans and had to have on a jacket. My thought was how out of place is this joint. I ran back to the hotel with my boss to change. The food was only so so, and not what I call Cajun or creole. More French than anything. We went to Rosie’s on the roof next for cocktails and appetizers. The drinks were good but not the food again. Later we went to Cochon for dinner. Cochon is French for pig. And that was basically all they had on the menu. Also if you are in a large group like we were it was family style only. Once again, so so, but at least they had fried boudin balls. The next day we drank at the Marriott after our conference. Done that once you don’t it anywhere. The next day we did the Creole Queen river boat. It was not in the best of condition inside but a great time was had by all. Followed it up with Karen Waldrup at the Fillmore. The next day my head was sore but I mustered up the energy to go to Bourbon street after the conference. There I was approached 4 times by someone offering to sell me “some good coke ma’boy”. Every bathroom I entered was the most disgusting place I’d ever been. The bathroom horrors got worse as the night rolled on. We left out with a group of 7. 2 women and 5 guys. After three bars all I could find was one of the guys. We made our way back being asked for spare change and money the whole way. The next day our conference was over. We ate at acme oyster house. It was pretty gross inside.
Doesn't seem like the city is the problem but you're horrible selection of restaurants. In every city there are spots you should ignore.
shout out by the from ormoc city
This is giving Plantation vibes. Dang.
Live there and do theses thing alot
