    So now you have extra 50 seats, can you lower the fares during CNY to Sarawak? At least make it cheaper than flights to Australia or Japan.

      @Scorpio Rose my opinion is the A380 was pure waste of money, the money used for the whale could have been used for a few more 350s or 330Neos

      @@Alhy-ls3dv but MAS used it for umrah and hajj purpose plus seasonal period and chartered

      @Alhy-ls3dv 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@iwaaaaannn that's true, but they have 6 of those things, I can bet on one or two are serving routes barely filled up such as the Melbourne route, when the plane flies empty it costs more money, it was a bad purchase, for the umrah, we could have charter some aircraft to do it as its only seasonal

      Arthur Lee Probably bought the A380 as a symbol? A lot of airlines don’t need a carrier like the A380, but purchase a few because of the ‘Largest passenger jet’ title

    • @alonelyz1981
      @alonelyz1981 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to get profit from the a380 you need almost a full plane

    congrats, but what was the technical problem that neo engine faced. hope to complete the training of this series, unlike hidden boeing short cuts which played with human life

      it will add more weight which means will burn more fuel . so, not a cheap option adding IFE in Airasia's fleet right now .

    • @anweshkar
      @anweshkar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guess he was talking about the parent... Air asia Malaysia... The A330s are operated by AirAsia X....

  • @dxnxsh16
    @dxnxsh16 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    why not airasia try for B777 ? or A350

    • @junrenong8576
      @junrenong8576 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      By maintaining the same aircraft manufacturer, its cheaper to buy the aircrafts, and the reason Air Asia chose A330 neo than a350 may due to its current existing fleet of A330s (similar training and aircraft characteristics, plus same type means cheaper maintenance). In terms of Air Asia (non X), A350s and B777s are not well suitable in terms of the route, as they were not really optimised for short haul compared to the A320s family. Also, FYI, A321s is quite similar to the A320s, in terms of systems and cockpit layouts, so a pilot who only certified to fly a320 can be able to fly the A321s, or the A318/19s, and the only training they need is classroom training. Thus, in terms of business of an airline, its cheaper to operate both the A320s and A321s together.

    Y don’t u all use Boeing

    • @ifly7777
      @ifly7777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is because Airbus is cheaper for AirAsia to run compared to Boeing as training is cheaper. AirAsia Academy have A320 simulators which can be easily converted to A321. And AirAsia pilots can be trained to fly on both aircrafts to increase efficiency

      If airasia use boeing and buy 737max then grounded...so BKI ~ KUL fare will hike 100%..no way to choose boeing
