Dear friends and followers, welcome back to my channel and to a frequently asked question: How can I identify an Airbus from a Boeing? That immediately got me thinking, what are the key visual difference between those to famous airplane manufactures.
We'll be looking at some key differences such as the cockpit windows and their shape, the airplane nose, engine inlets and outlets, the landing gear height, if the plane has winglets or sharklets or none and many more very interesting details.
The planes compared in this video are :
    A320 vs B737
    A330 vs B777
    B767 and B757 vs A330
    A380 vs B747
    A350 vs B787
Thank you very much for your time! I hope you enjoy this video!
    Wishing you all the best!
    Your "Captain" Joe

Two other differences not covered in here:
    1) The aft fuselage shape. The top of the fuselage on an Airbus runs level until very near the aft end, with the bottom curving up to meet it. A Boeing fuselage is more conical at the aft end, with the top curving down to meet the bottom line curving up.
    2) The dorsal fin. To distinguish the Boeing 737 from the A320 series, I’ll check for the 737’s dorsal fin on the rudder. It’s pretty distinctive.

DC 9/MD 80, 727, L1011, DC 10, 737, and 747 were all easy to tell apart for obvious reasons. Then in my college days, the MD 11 came out and those were easily distinguishable. I feel MUCH smarter about current aircraft now thanks to this video!

A350 and 787 I seem to mix up. So was good to point out the engine cowling shape is a good way to identify when side on. Historically Boeing has had the smoother winglets like on the A350, though oddly enough the 787 is more like a birds wingtip than the winglets we've been used to seeing on a Boeing, so adding to confusion.
