- The IS 300h will use a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine linked to an electric motor.
The Lexus IS 300h is a rear wheel drive motor car, with its powerplant positioned in the front, and a 4 door saloon (sedan) bodyshell. Power is produced by a double overhead camshaft, 2.5 litre naturally aspirated 4 cylinder powerplant, with 4 valves per cylinder that provides power and torque figures of 179 bhp (181 PS/133 kW) at 6000 rpm and 221 N·m (163 lb·ft/22.5 kgm) at 4200-5400 rpm respectively. This power is delivered to the wheels through a continuously variable gearbox. Its stated kerb weight is 1620 kg. Maximum stated speed is 200 km/h, which equates to 124 mph, and carbon dioxide emissions are 99.0 g/km.

wow this is fast for a car rated at 8,9 0-100 :)
Yes, great car
Rated 8,4 and reality isn't this fast, maybe 7,8 with big wheels and 7 with small ones
They are definitely faster than advertised
Correct:)
No, the speedometer readings are always higher than the real speed.
How can you get 0-100 in 6.2 seconds while manufacturer states 8.3?
I donno
@@tomsandroy The speedometer readings are always higher than the real speed.
Is this the latest gen is300h?
Year 2014
This is a stock IS300h not tuned, correct??
Not tuned..
100 on the speedo is not actually 100. It's around 105-107 where the actual speed is 100. So this is not accurate at all.
I will do it again, thanks
Nobody else bothers about such a small detail. For the purposes of all these 0-100 tests on YT, military precision is not really necessary for 99.9% of those who watch. Enjoy your day, make sure its perfect for your demanding requirements.
@@oddities-whatnot In an acceleration test your measuring for 100 on GPS. Not doing this can throw your results off by a second or more. I'm not annoyed with the man at all. I'm offering advice in a perfectly decent way, and he took it as such.
If you know the actual size and width of the tyre you use for this car? Someone tested 0-100 for the F sport model (with 255/35 R18 on the rear) and it comes to a slower result(above 8 seconds? Someone got more than 9 seconds for the 2020 facelift model with a new 265 width and 19 inch wheel) so I guess the entry level of IS300h could accelerate faster due to the smaller size tyre (225/45 R17) that has a smaller friction and lighter unsprung weight?
The F sport model is heavier than mine so the acceleration won't be that good for sure. I will check the size of the tyres later. thanks
@@tomsandroy Hi thanks for the reply. Looking forward to your comment again
@@johnnyzhang9921 have you seen my other video of the same car? I was able to do 7.14sec in sport mode that time: th-cam.com/video/aXd3UdOEpVA/w-d-xo.html
@@johnnyzhang9921 hey, my tire size is: 225/45 R17
yeah I have seen IS 300h with 16'''accelerate like the one from video.
very cold outside air temperature, 8С°, try at 22C°
Thanks for the tip!
The car is not factory spec or run downhill on the video. Lexus claims acceleration at 8.5 seconds for this model, how is yours could be 2 sec faster.
It was not on downhill and it has factory specs only. I will do another video to see the results.
Manufacturers times on performance cars are usually downplayed as they test them in bad conditions such as rain, with people in the car. This also lowers insurance premiums. A lot of time BMWs claim say 0-100 in 6s and do it in 4.5s and it's very common.
@@RobCXS good information, thanks
@@RobCXSwhich BMWs are these?
@@HD33P1 From what I know, most of them. Even cheap base models have hp and torque figures that are lower than in reality, and can do slightly faster 0-60s than stated.
It looks like fake. How is that possible?
Not fake at all
I will do a new test soon, let's see the results ok? But I was not cheating at all
@@tomsandroy i trust you man
