Hi, I'm industry qualified ACCA. What options do I have to start my own business as I cannot get practice certificate untill I get 3 years of experience in practice?
I know a guy who did acca and then he re qualified to IFR I think so he could go open his practice. Acca makes it really hard to do it unless you have practice experience and then you pay as well for the practice licence.
Great video i wanna know ask something i have heard from some people that students doing acca have no social life. Is it a myth or reality. Would really appreciate if you shed some light into ot. Thanks
It does depend on how much you study and if you have a job on top of it. During the time you are preparing for the exams, the more you study the more chance you pass the exam. So it is a sacrifice you have to make short term for a long term success. So if you have a job, be prepared to reduce your social life to a minimum and then once you’re done with it catch up with friends. I hope this helps.
@@AgnesMann well i am not gonna do a job gonna study full time. Other than classes how many hours of study should we do. I have heard that if you are consistent you can easily do it.

Hi. Hey there!! I am an Indian chartered Accountant(CA) I had completed 3 years of articleship in a 2nd tier City in india ( compulsory training during CA) now I am working with pwc in audit department for little less than 1 year.... As you might be aware that Indian CAs needs to give only 4 exams to complete Acca... Allso Indian CAs need not to do 3 year training for acca....so suppose if I complete those 4 papers and complete Acca along with my job ( which will be around 2 year experience by the time I complete Acca).....Then What will be job opportunities for me in UK ......growth prospects and starting pay packages..... Thankyou in advance 😊
Hi, Thank you for the comment The job opportunity after ACCA completion are the same for everyone so what i have mentioned in the video would be relevant despite having the ACCA done in India. I hope this helps
I would say finish up the degree first so you can claim some exemptions. It doesn’t have to take you 3 years to finish. It depends on how quick you pass through it
i am 19 years old and i am interested to do ACCA, when can i do, to start now or after completing my graduation, and there is any future scopes on acca.
To what extent would you say your degree matters during your whole accounting journey. I'm aware you got a first, let's say I have a 22 but am as equally skilled as you, would I still be able to reach your position with ease? Great video as always btw
It does not matter at all to be honest, and if I did not go that route and just did ACCA without doing the degree first, I would be £200 better off every month now (that is how much student loan company charges me for taking the loan while I was studying). I am positive that whatever class of degree you have, you still are able to climb the career ladder and do well- noone ever asked me what class did I get to be honest. Thank you for a lovely comment.
Still lots of job prospects only not the top positions. It will depend on the past experience. The market is full of jobs at the moment so good time to look for one and grow by experiance

Can one move to the UK after becoming an Acca affiliate to do their PER there and alongside pursue a masters degree? Do firms their consider appointing Acca affiliates who have just completed their all papers and are willing to do their PER of 3yrs there?
Being affiliate you can find jobs in the UK but they will be junior positions or assistants. Not sure if you can find a company that will offer a visa for affiliate though. And not sure about the last question you’d need to ask around the recruiting agencies
