Great video. My dad was at Walter Reed for a a couple of years, he was run over by a train on his way to Bosnia. I wonder if more could be done on his arm now because of all the new technology. Since his arm was run over and re-connected after, he can't really use it, I hope more research is done with brain waves and nerves so that his arm could possibly not be in pain and be useful to him.
Does the coating wear off in time? What is the rate of that in years or months? Thank you!!! LOVE it!!!! I would love to work for them and sell their products!!!!!
Fascinating stuff! I see you've reviewed Emotiv's products, but have you had a chance to look at Neuroelectrics or Advanced Brain Monitoring? It's a shame the Enobio isn't available on the general market yet-Muse's sensors are nearly all located over the prefrontal cortex, and I would like to see what other parts of my brain are doing.
So if I have a muse and my friend has a muse can we just download the neural drift application? so Where can we order the remote control car That was mentioned to use both our muse’s as a computer Interface device? Also is Neural drift spelled that way & is it an app or software? Ty.
My Mindflex Duel game showed up yesterday, and I've been making my way through your videos since. Amazing stuff, this is all very interesting! Shame I can only click like once.
Honestly, I bought it because it was cheap enough ($50 used) to warrant the loss on a potential gimmick. Years ago, I'd seen a similar game but couldn't find enough information to convince me of the technology. Nearly a decade later, and slightly more financially stable, my curiosity outweighed the hesitation. Now that I've played with it enough, the one thing I really like about the Mindflex Duel, that I haven't seen elsewhere, is the ability to play WITH others. My friends and I have had a lot of fun reinventing the various game modes. For example, on the "tug-of-war" setting, instead of trying to out focus each other and push the puck clear to your opponent's side, we time ourselves to see how long we can keep the puck in the middle of the track, so the game will continue indefinitely. Almost 5 minutes is our record now. It's a really fun tool to visualize internal mental efforts. While playing with it, I thought how cool it would be if there was a more sophisticated, less obtrusive, eeg that would link to a real time readout. The product would be great for people with anxiety attacks or the like; helping them recognize what it feels like to be in a calm state, being able to see when they're slipping toward an attack, and being able to watch their progress as they push themselves back to normal. Outside that and other similar mental health roles, it would carry the potential to train a mind in ways of control that have never been quantifiable until now. The imagination of that product led me to your channel and these other personal eeg's that skirt the edge of that utility. Now I'm in the process of deciding which one has the best "games" to promote the kind of control I'd like play around with. I don't just want to learn how to calm my mind, which seems to be the main focus of the Muse. I'd like to be able to practice sustaining other states. Conceivably, you could do this with the Muse... Just aim for wind instead of birds I suppose. But if there's a device with more versatile and entertaining software out there already, I'd be more interested that. Any suggestions you have would be very much appreciated! I'm a real noob with this stuff. I remember seeing one eeg software that had a few games, like lighting a barrel on fire, but I can't seem to find which one that was again...
***** lol oh okay. I was wondering because the emotiv had a program for neurofeedback and the muse does have a free developer kit but I wasn't able to find a neurofeedback app for it. I rented neuroptimal for a friend who has ptsd and now I'm looking for something else he can have if he gets deployed. But nonetheless, please keep up the good work!
I wonder how the glasses compare to the headband in terms of data collection. The headband has 7 sensors, while I believe the glasses only have 5. Haven't seen anyone doing a 1:1 comparison yet. You seem like a good candidate to be the first!
At a glance, would you assume the glasses work as well as the headband, just in a more discrete package? I'm debating between the two. I don't mind the extra $100, and I'd rather have the glasses so I could have them handy to play with all the time. But I don't want to sacrifice function.
Would be nice to see the signal coming out
Looks like they're sharing a headset :-)

Crystal Taylor did your father try the Muse?
Ken Corigliano
How is that gonna help him ....
Hi Crystal. Your dad can try PEMF (Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy). I feel it will help him.

My original Muse Headband from 2014 still works fine.

What would the old school Zeo count as? Active? Passive? or is it in the same category as a muse?

I'm not aware of a remote control car that you can order for the Muse. I'm also not familiar with neural drift.

Awesome, thank you. Why did you go with the Mindflex Duel?

What happened to EEG 101? Where Can I find it?
Is it not up anymore?
hey! I just found your channel. keep up the good work! which one of the 3 that personal neurofeedback systems do you like the best?
Thanks! I have to go with the Muse on that one. And I am not paid to say that...

Guys bottom line does this help people suffering from anxity etc
Yes it will definitely help you to learn how to meditate, which is an excellent treatment for anxiety.
Cody Rall MD with Techforpsych thank you we’re best to purchase

Good idea! Probably will cover the glasses more in depth this summer.

I wish Muse had atleast 8 channels much like OpenBCI.
